I don't know if this is normal but hopefully it is. The other thing is on certain colors like red I feel like there may be one or two pixels or bits sticking out of the notch but only if I look really closely(like microscopic level). I'm really sensitive to display problems so that's why I'm asking this, please give me an answer thank you. [link] [comments] |

Seems like the only true method to get an actual uncompressed video from iPhone to any other piece of hardware is by connecting a lightning cable to a Windows PC and going through file explorer, an extremely buggy process that only works for mere minutes at a time. In my testing, it seems that any "way out" of the iPhone photos app compresses a video slightly. Any icon from the share sheet is usually the same amount of compression, done on the iPhone's end before it shares it. Transferring directly to Windows 10 over a lightning cable a 1 second video results in a 3.75MB file size with a 14mbps bitrate, whereas transferring via any other share sheet app (LANDrop, Google Drive, etc.) results in a 3.05MB file with a 12mbps bitrate. | Green dot appeared on iphone out of nowhere Posted: 30 Nov 2021 01:08 AM PST So I'm using iphone 8 plus, IOS 15.1 and recently when I open my iphone to use Safari - just Safari not any other apps because I had closed all apps before (closed completely - I checked) but when I opened Safari, there was this green dot indicating my camera being used appeared on the top right corner of my phone for like 10s. I don't know how and why this happened and hope someone can help or if anyone has ever run into this problem. I even used Certo Anti Spy software to scan for spyware and jailbreak but nothing found. The result came back all clear - no spyware, not jailbroken. Should I be concerned? [link] [comments] |
| Want to recover photos from broken iPhone Posted: 30 Nov 2021 01:02 AM PST My iPhone ran out of space. I deleted some apps, bought more cloud storage, and just as it was uploading my photos, the whole phone shut down and then went to the apple logo reboot loop. I had tried to sync it earlier today in preparation for a purge to free up space, and the sync kept failing. So, despite my best efforts, my phone has photos that are not backed up anywhere. I used UltData to repair the OS and now it is out of the reboot loop, but now it wants me to swipe up to recover data. I am very scared to do that! However, neither UltData, Joyoshare, or iTunes can detect it unless it's in repair mode, so it seems like I can't do anything without swiping up to recover data. Can someone who's been through this process tell me if swiping up is the best thing to do at this stage? I am hoping that if I swipe up and allow recovery, but don't restore any data immediately, maybe UltData/Joyoshare can find the photos. In the old days of computers, until something was overwritten, it was still 'there' and could be recovered. Has anyone been in this situation and recovered photos? Or does 'swipe up to recover' basically flash the phone drive so it's factory clean? That'd mean nothing could be recovered.. Alternatively, I could try to repair the OS again with Ultdata and hope a second try skips the recovery screen and just fixes the phone? [link] [comments] |
| Green line of death went away! Posted: 30 Nov 2021 12:46 AM PST The back of my phone is cracked and all open. Today I saw a green line appear through my screen and I just thought "oh no I have to go get it fixed" but then I charged it and spent an hour or two on my phone and realized it went away. Am I good?
