    What options are there to get around the first gen iPhone’s aux port?

    I have an old first gen iPhone that I would love to use but the original aux port isn't compatible with any auxiliary cables I have. Is the old adapter still for sale somewhere? Or should I file down the port itself?

    My iPhone Xs Max will not display anything but its still running

    The phone is running as I can hear sounds from it and can still interact with the screen, but the screen is dark and I don't see anything. If I force shut it down and turn it back on while it's in the charging cable this will sometimes fix this, but I'm not sure how to permanently fix. I've restored the phone to factory settings and it's still doing this so I know it's not the software, right? I'm just so confused and would really appreciate some help, thanks!

    Can you turn off IPhone 13 Auto image processing?

    When I take pictures, they automatically become processed and edges look smudgy and any text in the distance becomes a blob because the image tries to over sharpen. It also throws the contrast up super high to make the image look really grainy and everyone has a glow around it. The only time pictures actually look like the pictures I take are when I use portrait mode. Is this bad upscaling due to apples new image processing software, and can it be turned off or are there ways to get around it?

    Title kinda says it all. No matter what I do I can't get dark mode on google. I have an iPhone XS Max and I've gone into settings to try to make it dark mode, and while it worked for news and settings it didn't work on google. I should mention that I use safari for file and not the actual google app.

    Songs playing through Spotify have been skipping (in track, like parts of the song are just skipped over) and songs have also been briefly fast forwarding at random intervals. This occurs when playing through the phone, but also through AirPods, Bluetooth speakers, and in-car audio. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm wondering if it's a case of "old iPhones turn to crap so you buy a new one"

    iPhone X “No Sim installed”

    All of a sudden, my iPhone X, started showing "no SIM card installed" pop up. I tried restarting my iPhone, removing-cleaning-reinserting the Sim, but nothing seems to work. After reinserting the Sim, it shows network coverage for a few minutes before showing the "no SIM card" dialog box again. Kindly advise.. Thanks..

    Photos are trapped on my phone!

    I have an iPhone SE OS 14.7.1 and cannot seem to get photos to transfer to PC. I have been able to get a few to transfer and then the computer will eventually give an error message that the "device has stopped responding," and only a few random files have transferred. Tonight I tried direct to external hard drive and while it appeared to work when I looked in the files later only 19 of 1000 pictures actually transferred. Can anyone offer some insight. I don't know what to do anymore!

    My iPhone assistive touch button doesn’t disappear in full screen mode. How to fix?

    I am using an iPhone 7 plus 32 GB variant. I use iPhone assistive touch instead pressing the home button too many times. Yesterday I encounter a problem. I seeing a tv series on Netflix and try to full screen and the touch button doesn't disappear after some time.

    This should not be happen because I use iPhone 7 Plus for almost 2 years and never had such issue previously. I try to reset the assistive touch but nothing works.

    I know one solution is to reset my phone. I don't want to do that.

    Issues with screen not turning off

    A few weeks ago, I was doing something where I needed the screen to stay on longer. As such, I went to Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock and changed it from 30 seconds to Never. Worked great for when I needed it to.

    However, I don't need it like that all the time. I've changed it back to 30 seconds and the settings will not revert. It stays on constantly. It's on my desk right now, pointing at the ceiling, and the screen is still on. If I get a notification, it stays on as well until I hit the side button on turn it off.

    I have rebooted, updated to iOS15 (then to iOS 15.0.1), hard rebooted, and nothing has changed. I feel like this has happened before where I changed it and then changed it back and it took a WHILE before it actually started turning off at 30 seconds, but I don't remember what finally prompted it to.

    Any suggestions? It's killing my battery.

    transferring photos from icloud

    hello! i'm in a bit of a pickle and i was wondering if anyone could offer any advice. so for the longest time, i haven't had a way to backup my photos. my laptop is old, slow, and barely has any storage. same goes for my external hard drive.
    my phone was getting full of photos and i just had nowhere to put them, so i ended up buying the $2.99 icloud plan. now that is also getting full, and i don't wanna bump up to the $9.99 plan, so i was thinking of finally getting some kind of external storage device to put all my pictures in. my problem is, since they're in the cloud and not actually on my phone, is there any easy way to move them all over? i'm talking like 33,000 pictures at this point 😩 i don't want to have that many pictures on my phone, but i can't delete them without also deleting them from icloud. that's why i wanna just backup everything that's on icloud to a physical storage device and then delete them all from icloud so that i can have a fresh start.

    any advice or recommendations for storage devices are welcome!! also feel free to ask for clarification if something i said was too vague!

    Problems receiving text messages on iphone 13 pro

    I recently upgraded from an iphone X to an iphone 13 pro and I am currently trying to move most of my authenticators over to the phone. However I am having trouble with one (Steam) as it requires an SMS verification code to move it to the new phone. I simply do not get the text message with the code.

    I have verified that my account is connected to the number in question. I have even called the carrier and they have verified that the message is actually sent and received. However it just simply wont show up on my phone. I have even tried to put my SIM card back into my old iphone X without any result.

    Has anyone else had any issues receiving SMS text messages on your iphones and in that case, how did you fix it?

    Turns off randomly....

    phone turns off randomly then shows the apple logo as if it was turning on, only for the screen to go navy(ish) then black, then repeat the whole thing (10 minutes as of now)

    Back up problems

    I'm wondering who else has a problem to put the backup of a iPhone to a new iPhone? I'm trying to get my backup from my iPhone XS to the new iPhone 13 pro, but i still get every time i try it that the server is down and i have to try it another time. Does anyone know how i can fixed it?

    The back camera on my iPhone 8 doesn’t work anymore

    I have an iPhone 8, and it has always worked completely fine, but since a few weeks, my flashlight and camera in the back don't work. It's not always that they don't work, but I did a reset on my phone, I changed things in the settings, I tried everything but it just keeps on coming back. I get a black screen when I try to take a photo. The front camera does work though.

    Does anyone know what's going on?

    Restore from backup - then change Apple ID?

    I was wondering if anyone could offer some input to a question that's beyond me.

    My MIL has a new phone and wants to transfer all her stuff - photos etc, from her old one. Simple? Unfortunately she has been using her daughters Apple ID whilst the daughter has been off with an Android. Now the daughter wants her Apple ID back and so mother has to set up an Apple ID of her own.

    Can the mother just backup her phone, restore from backup on the new one, and then log out of her daughters Apple ID without then losing all her data?

    Can the mother log out of her daughters Apple ID on the old phone without losing her data, and set up an Apple ID with which to then backup all the pre-existing data?

    What's the best way around this?
