iOS Gaming List of ongoing ‘rare’ sales

iOS Gaming List of ongoing ‘rare’ sales

    List of ongoing ‘rare’ sales

    Posted: 11 Oct 2021 09:16 PM PDT

AppRaven and Appsliced are great places to find all kinds of apps on sale. Now some of these titles simply changed their pricing structures (free to try with in app full game purchase, or implemented ads for example) while others have permanently lowered the cost, but the majority of these are discounted only for a short time and may cease at any moment.
I'd take a look at some of the freebies as a few are quality and addictive even if they might not normally be your jam. Lots of styles and genres I'm not familiar with but all of these seem pretty interesting.
As always do try and leave feedback or better yet reviews for games you might enjoy. A lot of these Dev's are solo or very small teams of passionate gamers who could use all the support they can get.

    Hope this helps! Enjoy!

    5 RPG Hidden Gems

    Posted: 11 Oct 2021 05:21 PM PDT

The RPG genre has always been one of my favorite genres in gaming. I'm constantly on the prowl for new RPG's to enjoy on mobile. However, it's pretty hard to sift through the plethora of mediocre games on the App Store to find hidden gems to enjoy. I've spent quite a bit of time doing so and I've decided to share some of my findings with you all!

—————5 RPG Hidden Gems On Mobile——————

    1. Battle Hunters: This game was built from the ground-up for mobile and it's controls definitely benefit from it. The game's battle system is a cool hybrid between real time strategy and turn-based decision-making. There are also new characters that are introduced to you throughout the game that you can to add to your party and level up. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this one and I think it's criminally overlooked.

    Link to game: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/battle-hunters/id1459208444

    2. Pixelot: This game was clearly inspired by the Pokémon and Final Fantasy series of games. It's a perfect mixture between the two. I experienced several moments of nostalgia while playing through Pixelot and its story/characters are surprisingly charming. I highly recommend this one for anyone who enjoys the classic Final Fantasy or Pokémon games!

    Link to game: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pixelot/id1254557946

    3. Unknown Knights: This is a "fantasy-styled FTL" with an RPG twist. The game's battle system is a simple spin off of an RTS that I've never really seen before. I was addicted to this game for a bit because of its "one more try" gameplay loop. This is definitely a must-try for fans of FTL or roguelike RPG's.

    4. Evilibrium: Soul Hunters: This game is a mixture of dungeon-crawling and monster-collecting. Its battle system mostly consists of idle elements, formation tactics, and party composition. I was constantly reminded of gacha games while playing it but this game is a completely premium experience. If you enjoy gacha games or want to experience an extremely unique blend of mechanics (that work well with each other), check it out.

    5. Devil Stone: This is a clean-cut JRPG. If you don't like anime aesthetics, steer clear. However, I really appreciated the game's looks and sound design. It won't blow you away with anything new but it's an extremely solid JRPG that slowly became one of my favorites on mobile.

I hope this list helps others find a solid RPG to enjoy! If you want further info and gameplay about each game, feel free to watch my video here: https://youtu.be/o7a5CSyPqZE

If you need more RPG suggestions, I made (2 years ago) another video that contains 5 more hidden gems in the genre! It can be found here: https://youtu.be/e70DJ1pWqhw

Thank you so much for reading! Please share your thoughts about any of the games I've mentioned in this post, as well as any of your own RPG recommendations! The more, the merrier! Cheers!

iOS games with controller rumble support. Anyone know of others?

    Posted: 11 Oct 2021 05:17 PM PDT

I still have room for more games any recommendations?

    Posted: 12 Oct 2021 10:05 AM PDT

Looking for a portrait mode RPG style game with long term progression.

    Posted: 11 Oct 2021 07:32 PM PDT

    Here's my wishlist:

RPG style with any gear or character progression. Things to collect (characters, cosmetics, or weapons). NOT anime art style. Can be F2P or pay. I would much prefer to avoid any actual pay to win issues though. No energy system - Unless it's extremely flexible with plenty of options. Portrait mode. I'd love something that had great graphics (again not anime).

Book of Heroes and Questland are both fairly close to this list but I'd like other recommendations please!

MFI Bluetooth controller for iPhone 12 Pro Max

    Posted: 11 Oct 2021 07:59 PM PDT

Heya folks, looking at getting a controller for my iPhone 12 Pro Max that's Bluetooth so I can use it with my Apple TV at home too.

So far the best option I found is the Gamesir X2 Bluetooth. Keen for any other recommendations otherwise happy to ditch the Bluetooth and go for a Razer Kishi or Backbone One.

Just curious to see what you folks have used and would recommend. Cheers! :)

Castlevania: SotN save file transfer in iTunes!

    Posted: 11 Oct 2021 05:01 PM PDT

I swear this game had iCloud sync when it came out. It sure doesn't now, which stinks because I got the 200.6% completion on my iPad, but wanted to take cracks at the other achievements from my iPhone. Well, I just found out you can file transfer with iTunes! I just backed up all three files on both my devices and moved the ones from my iPad to my iPhone and BAM, everything is fine. Exciting news to me, hope it is to others. Not much reason to connect our devices to itunes anymore, but there's one.

In search of an old game and Google is no help

    Posted: 11 Oct 2021 04:09 PM PDT

Hi, I really hope you guys can help me with this. I'm searching for a tower defense/shoot em up game I played on my old iPod touch, but Google has been no help.

I definitely remember that it was vertical, involved shooting aliens, and I think your units are cats. I also remember that one of the units was styled after the macho army guys from movies like Predator. It had an atypical name, I think it was translated from Japanese.

Google keeps suggesting Battle Cats, but this wasn't it, as it was vertical, and I'm pretty sure the art was more detailed. I really hope someone here can help me out!

Edit: To clarify, this would've been around 2009-2011.

Are there any good wall mounts for Apple's magsafe charger?

    Posted: 11 Oct 2021 12:09 PM PDT

I want to use my iphone 13 Animoji as a face cam for my ipad gaming videos. Hoping that whichever mount you recommend, my magsafe charger can easily be removed to have on my desk when not gaming so I can charge my airpods as well
