- The picture in several apps on my Apple TV is Blurry/Pixelated after TvOS 15 Update. The same apps work fine on my Iphone, Ipad, PC and Shield. Examples in post. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Now I can't watch more than about 10 mins at a time without having an error. Some times it's down to only a min or so and then error especially with Squid Game [link] [comments]  | ||
| Aspect Ratio is wrong when using ARC channel Posted: 01 Oct 2021 01:20 AM PDT I've been using appletv 4K for quite a while now, just using a basic HDMI channel with no issues. However, just recently I purchased a couple HomePods for a stereo pair and wanted to see if I could get the arc passthrough setup going. But once I switch the HDMI cord over into my tv's arc channel, although the audio passes through perfectly, the aspect ratio while using the ATV is horrendous. It's all squished into a square box in the middle, and the tv just says "Not available with current input" whenever I've tried to change the ratio from the tv's side. Anyone know what could fix this? I went into Bluetooth settings to confirmed that it is enabled, which it is, but neither the demo nor any apps are tracking my head movements. I'm using AirPods Pro. EDIT: Solved. For some reason I'm having to turn it on the first time I launch an app. Once I relaunch the app it stays in by default. This is what was throwing me off: it says "enabled" in Settings, but you still need to actively turn it on via the control panel. Clear as mud. [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 01 Oct 2021 12:21 AM PDT As the title says, just ordered a new Samsung Q80T but have been reading up and apparently ATV doesn't play well with it, mainly because of the lack of HDR10+ support, forcing users recalibrate ATV to force SDR natively and then match the picture ranges. I way rather just keep the same picture setting always on. I'm coming from an OLED (much smaller, hence the upgrade), and I love just keeping it set to Dolby Vision on my ATV, regardless of the app/content. It always looks great. Should I just go with something other than Samsung if I'm mainly using ATV? Was thinking Sony as well. Thanks! [link] [comments]  | ||

At the moment I can obviously have the HomePods as default audio, can I do the same with the arc? As I don't want to have to keep selecting the arc in the menu as the audio output. My TV's built-in app works just fine, as well as ATV's apps for other services. | Posted: 30 Sep 2021 07:19 AM PDT Hey guys, ever since I updated my Apple TV 4K 2021 Model to TvOS 15 several of my daily apps I use the picture fails to clear. It remains really blurry and pixelated. Several of these Apps used to work just fine prior the the recent update. The picture would take a few seconds to stabilize and I was good to go. Unfortunately the picture remains like this on the Apple TV now on many of my apps. I have checked the same apps on my Ipad, Iphone, PC and Shield and the picture clears and plays perfectly fine. Examples below. Make sure you set 720P or the Video streams as they will default to 360P and won't really show my issue. Hope someone can help me. Just to clarify these apps are also working perfectly fine on my Iphone, Ipad and PC. This is just 3 apps on the Apple TV but it's happening on several. If you check out the logo clarity of each channel that will show the difference I'm seeing in streams. Speed test shows 500mb down 450Mb Up. 7-10 Ping. I've tried several resets. Uninstalls to no avail. And tried messing with the resolution settings again to no avail.... I have noticed one thing. Apps that have a Quality Toggle seem to work fine. I can load the toggle and set the quality. Apps that don't allow this seem to have the issue. | Apple TV App Library blank on newest gen Apple TV, frozen in time on other Apple TVs in the house. Posted: 30 Sep 2021 12:28 PM PDT I noticed that my newer purchases weren't showing first on my phone, but that has been resolved. However on the Apple TV's, it won't update. Recent purchases shows the most recent purchase as something 13 movies ago. I have called Apple support and they have not been helpful stating an engineer is looking into it. It has been a month and I don't see any help. I have done all normal troubleshooting steps including rebooting, logging out and back in, updated TVos etc. [link] [comments]  | ||

Unfortunately, if I return to watch later, "Watch Now" opens Peacock to resume watching the office even though I haven't been watching it on Peacock and have been watching it through Library."
