| Bought new ATV 4K, YouTube app no longer contributes to my watch history Posted: 27 Aug 2021 10:27 PM PDT It worked fine on the old one, but not a single video I watch on my new ATV 4K gets added to my watch history. Yes I'm signed in, no my YouTube watch history is not paused, yes if I watch on my desktop my history updates. What gives? I've tried resetting the app, but no joy. [link] [comments]  | ||

Like if I wake it from sleep, or come back after it's been on screen saver mode, or even just randomly during a movie- it takes over the whole screen saying there's an update and then I have 3 options "Turn on auto update" "Update now" "Update later" The actual update itself isn't downloaded to the TV (I think, It doesn't show up in storage like on iPhone or iPad or Mac). | WTH is up with the low volume on Apple TV 4K? Posted: 27 Aug 2021 10:33 AM PDT I have a 4k/atmos receiver and an OLED tv. Turned off "reduced loud sounds" and every other setting that could interfere with output levels, but I still need to crank up the volume on my receiver to hear dialogue. (yes I increased the speaker level through AVR setup). Meanwhile when I watch apps directly from TV or even XBOX the sound output is like 10 times that of apple. I even had to turn down the center channel volume, because the voices were too loud. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Question about Apple One Bundle with Showtime/Paramount bundle Posted: 27 Aug 2021 03:57 PM PDT So I currently have the $9.99 showtime/paramount+ bundle. In the past I was getting Apple TV+ for free. With the Showtime/Paramount+ bundle you had to be an active AppleTV+ subscriber to get it for that price. However, with my AppleTV+ free trial ending recently I am now paying the $4.99 currently for it. I'm interested in paring it with the Apple One bundle with Apple Music/Arcade/iCloud, but was wondering if it will cancel out my eligibility for the Showtime/Paramount bundle if I made the switch? | Audio lagging with new Vizio TV Posted: 27 Aug 2021 10:20 AM PDT Last Sunday I bought a new Vizio TV (V505-J09) and hooked up my Apple TV 4K to it via HDMI. I'm just using the TV's built-in speakers at this point. It's not consistent, but sometimes the audio lags really badly, regardless of app. It even happens in the tvOS UI where the sound from scrolling through app icons will lag. Sometimes it's fine, though, and I don't see any pattern to when it works versus when it doesn't. Has anyone had a similar problem? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Apple TV 4k , LG CX OLED , crackling and popping sound Posted: 27 Aug 2021 05:48 AM PDT I know this is a issue that gets talked about alot. New apple TV 4k , firmware, new hdmi 48gbps cable. I tried 5.1 , stereo on the apple TV. Match content on/off. I tried settings on my TV with pcm, bitstream, passtrough. Everything there is really. My apple TV is hardwired to my router. I get that crackling and popping sound every few minutes. This was never a issue with the fire TV 4k , ps5 or the LG apps. Now I tried airplay from the apple TV directly to my Cambridge CXN V2 that supports airplay as well. And the sound issue is gone. Are there news if this will be fixed by apple , LG ? I did read that older iOS versions do not have that problem. I don't mind using airplay. I have a 2.1 system anyway. And for TV shows I don't need hi-res audio either but it still bothers me 😅 [link] [comments]  | ||
