    SwiftKey in iOS is bad compared to android counterpart

    Why do I feel SwiftKey auto correction, prediction isn't as good as it is in android version ? I have been using SwiftKey from 8 years and I loved it ! I have switched to iPhone 12 Pro Max and auto correction and prediction is terrible!! Emoji suggestion isn't working at all. Is it Apple restricting third party keyboards to make their keyboard look good or am I missing something here ? Apple keyboard auto correction is butter no complaints there but SwiftKey is more good at learning new words than the Apple keyboard. What's your take on this ? And if you have any suggestions on the keyboard let me know.

    iPhone 12 opening app animation flickers

    When opening apps on my iPhone 12, there is a flickering on the sides of the screen. It's like a stuttering while the app is growing to full screen.

    I spoke to apple and did the restart and also a factory reset but it's still happening.

    I am not good at explaining but did upload a screen recording.

    Is this a known software issue?

    How to switch AppStore location with an iCloud plan?

    I need to switch my AppleID store location, but I am required to cancel all of my subscriptions.

    I use iCloud and cannot transfer the fata somewhere else while switching stores, how can I switch store without losing all of my iCloud content?

    "Catastrophic" Bluetooth Bug

    Whenever I use my airpods or airpods pros, the audio gets gradually more and more desynced until the video itself starts to buffer and the audio/video completely stops playing. This only happens on YouTube and I have no issues when playing without Bluetooth.

    To "fix" this I just take out my earbuds, put them back in the case, then put them back in and the audio is good for the rest of the day. I have tried fully resetting the earbuds to no avail and have found nothing online similar to my issue....

    eSIM and iOS activation

    What happens if my only Apple device is my iPhone, I have two factor authentication enabled, I have only eSIM no physical and want to restore my iPhone?

    Will I be able to get the text message for the authentication code with the eSIM?

    What happens if I delete the eSIM also during the restore?

    What happens when I turn off iCloud Photos?

    I have an iPad and an iPhone. I turned on iCloud Photos on my iPhone to backup my photos but now there's 10,000 pictures from my iPad on my iPhone. I realize now that this is an intended feature of iCloud Photos, but I don't want those photos on my iPhone.

    If I disable iCloud Photos on my iPhone, will those pictures go away from my iPhone but remain in iCloud? What are my options to get rid of those pictures?

    Nimbus+

    I saw a good bargain for a nimbus + controller and I intent to use it for my iPhone/iPad/Mac m1/AppleTV 4K 2021. Also, planning to use it for geforcenow/stadia/xcloud.

    I am conflicted, seeing as the controller already has a clip which is very convenient, however due to the many complaints i have read online, I am still hesitant, especially after reading that the analog sticks do not work well with geforcenow. Moreover, I have noticed that the nimbus app is no longer in the AppStore and might pose issues if I need to update its firmware.

    Can anyone with this controller shed some light? The Xbox x controller is my next option, however as I do not intent on buying the console, it might be problematic to do firmware updates as well. I abhor plugging in controllers to a computer to do firmware updates and would prefer it updated ota as I am a very "tech ignorant" person which I suppose comes with age.

    To add, I am all apple (I am not a fanboy, I just prefer east to use technology), so the controller will only be used on apple products even whilst runnng stadia, xcloud, geforcenow, etc. I just want a controller that works with minimal headaches, thus avoiding stress.

    Disable In App Purchases for a Single App?

    Is it somehow possible to disable the ability to make in app purchases for one specific app rather than an all encompassing option?

    This is not to prevent someone else from making purchases but is for myself, as there is an app that I want to no longer spend on, but find it too easy to justify in the moment.

    Interesting "Temporary" TikTok app appeared after opening a link from iMessage. Can't find any info online about these types of apps. Can anyone tell me more about this? I don't have TikTok installed.

    How to disable location (or something similar) without people knowing you disabled location?

    I've tried to hide my location temporarily but my family always finds out somehow. Is there a way to do it so they won't be notified or altered that they can't find me? My dad especially is always spying on me and my brother. I love him but I don't want him to see some of the places I "go" to.

    Fantastical vs Calendars 5

    What is important for me: - widgets that show upcoming tasks AND events - widgets with quick add event/task - aesthetically pleasing - syncs with IOS reminders - weekly view that isn't hell to look at on phone - event reminders - syncs across devices

    I was using the stock app but the monthly view and weekly view on iPhone is just not functional. I love the upbeat widget for the stock app except it doesn't show my iOS reminders with it.

    These two paid apps seem to be the top contenders. Any advice on which I should choose?

    Many of these tabs are months and months old. I have no tabs open at all on my iPhone and yet every time I try to open another tab on my iPad I keep getting this group of old tabs on the bottom. Is there someway to turn this off?https://i.imgur.com/JYx5MAb.jpg

    iPhone space used is a long string of numbers

    I was looking at my storage today and I noticed that my phone is not calculating the data used correctly. It's a long, long string of numbers. [iPhone 8 running 14.7.1]

    Add contact using qr code

    Hello there! I was wondering if it is possible to create a qr code which would open up the save contacts pop-up through which one can save a contact. The pop-up should obviously include the name and the phone number, and no third-party app should be used. Is there a service which does that?

    Auto-reply to everyone but people in an exempt list?

    Is it possible to setup auto-reply text messages to everyone but creat a list of people who don't get the auto-reply? My wife is on vacation and wants to automatically send a message to everyone who isn't a friend.

    Notifications and Bluetooth

    Good whatever time of day it is for you, fellow redditors. I recently got an iPhone X and I switched from a Galaxy Note 9. I remember on my Galaxy there was a way for me to split the notification sounds. What I mean is I was able to play the music to a speaker via bluetooth and have my notification sounds come from my phone and not the speaker. I work in real estate so I always need to hear my phone but I hate it when I'm in the car and it's just a text or call from a friend that can wait or just some other app notification and having it interrupt my music.

    Is there a way for me to play music through my bluetooth speaker/car's ROAV (if you're not familiar with a ROAV its a bluetooth fm transmitter so I can play music from my phone to the car) and have my notifications on without it playing through the speakers?

    I tried looking online for a bit and I've heard people say yes and others say no and I don't want to have to put my phone on do not disturb or silent because I don't want to miss anything I would rather just have it come through the phone's speaker. Even if the answer is no (which is what I'm afraid it'll be) I appreciate it in advance! I hope everyone has a great day/night!
