    Would a Mac Mini be sufficient for any type of iPad development?

    I'm interested in writing apps gpu intensive apps for iPad. Given that iPad and Mac mini both have M1 chips, I was thinking that the Mac Mini would make sense for developing apps for the iPad. Never owned a Mac before :O

    Any thoughts?

    About the M1 iPad Pro 12.9” Speakers…

    I have been a very heavy user of the 2018 iPad Pro 12.9", and I recently just got the 2021 version. It felt noticeably heavier, but it doesn't really matter that much for my use case. I have been extremely impressed with the new screen, and I cannot understate how much I appreciate having pure blacks on this thing, and this alone would have honestly justified my purchase. I have noticed no blooming, and it really feels like the perfect screen for me.

    The speakers, however, sound quite different compared to the 2018 model. The max volume is way louder, which is great for when it's needed. However, I find the overall sound quality to be a bit weird. I don't know how to describe it, but everything sounds slightly more high-pitched, and it makes my ears slightly uncomfortable for some reason.

    I found this video on YouTube, and it did indeed confirm my suspicions that something has changed. So far, the changes have been said to be positive, but I am kind of feeling the opposite.

    I don't want to say that I'm disappointed with the new speakers, but it does feel like it would otherwise have been a perfect device. Is there anyone else here that feels this way?

    is it safe to use apple pencil on a cracked display?

    i was planning on buying an apple pencil for upcoming university use but a few days ago my brother accidentally knocked his iPhone on the iPad and now it's cracked. the crack is near the home button and there are a few lines across the screen. can i still use an apple pencil on it or do i have to replace the top glass first? i don't plan on replacing it unless i have to

    iPad lte categories

    Is there any place online where I can't find information about the lte modems in iPads. I have an iPad 7 and would like to know the specifics of the lte in the device ie. carrier aggregation, qam, mimo. Do iPads have Qualcomm or intel modems? I'm also seeing information about a company called skyworks that provides modems for iPads but can't find very much information about them. Apple lists most devices as gigabit class lte or gigabit lte. What is the difference between the two? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Please suggest a text extracting/ocr app for the ipad.

    Is there an app which can be used to extract editable text from pdf documents, PowerPoint slides etc. / ocr capabilities for the ipad. Something similar to "TextSniper" on the mac. Please suggest

    Photoshop and other Graphic Design Apps

    Are there any apps or anything that I am missing that will make using these programs between devices easier? I find it strange that we have yet to be able to use our iPad as an art tablet with photoshop on a PC if we have an adobe account. Are there any programs out there that I have yet to find that will help me with this? I've seen the apps like Duet Display but all of those are just dual display programs that wouldn't allow me to actively create on my iPad and have the changes show on the PC. Are there other programs besides Photoshop that do have this ability? I also do digital art, so I have the full version of Procreate on my iPad if they have somehow surpassed adobe in this field.

    ETA: I'm most specifically talking about going from iPad to PC, probably should've specified that sorry

    Does anyone know the difference between the new and "old" smart folio for the iPad Pros?

    There's apparently a new smart folio released for the iPad Pros, and the item descriptions are the same everywhere. Yet somehow the new one is more expensive. Does anyone know if there's an actual difference, or is it just an EAN swap and price hike combined?
