- Just found out that if you force click on trackpad with one finger an app icon on on the dock it will show you this app’s windows, even minimized ones… usually I do that with three or fingers swipe from the top when one of the windows are open. That’s new for me

| Problem with Audio on MacBook Air 2019 (CoreAudio Service Crashes) Posted: 01 Jun 2021 02:31 AM PDT Hello everyone, My past few days have been really frustration with the issues I'm facing with my MacBook Air 2019 128 GB Variant. I recently installed Big Sur and ever since that time my MacBook loses audio all of a sudden while working, the only way around to get rid of it is shutting down the lid and pulling it back, that fixes it for a few moments but that is it. The laptop just keeps losing the audio. I have also tried: Resetting the PMC Resetting the NVRAM Reinstalling macOS Reinstalling factory macOS Restarting the MacBook Uninstalling almost all the Apps that I've installed Cleaning and removing any dust in the Headphone jack (I never use it) Disabling Bluetooth (I normally use AirPods Pro) None of that helped, when I installed Catalina back to this thing it did help for a split second, it was a bit better but again it just won't stop losing audio. The other way I fix this sometimes is by going to the Terminal and killing the CoreAudio service which restarts it and then the audio is back for a few seconds. There are literally no other issues on the Laptop, this is it and it all started after installing Big Sur and although I tried to reverse it, it did not help. I cannot visit any Apple Service Center as of right now but I would really appreciate it if you can help. I have a Mac Mini 2018 with USB external drives (Toshiba, WD, and even a pile of old SATAs linked to a USB to SATA adaptator). Everything's fine until Mac goes to sleep (I rarely switch it off). When I'm back in front of my computer, the external drives work well, but very slowly (like USB 1), and I need like 10 minutes to copy 500 Mb. I have to restart the whole thing to make it work properly. What should I do in the preferences? Is there a way to "restart" external USB ports? Thank you for any help. Sorry for my Frenchy English! I have a problem, I recently acquired a 27" iMac from the end of 2009 running 10.9.5, it had a problem with the graphics card, I repaired it, but it boots on the previous owner's session. In any case I plan to reinstall completely MacOS and I don't want to keep the old data, but only, none, I say none of the shortcuts (on https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201255) work, at first I tried with a wireless keyboard (yes I know it's stupid), well ok, so I decide to take out my good old Gigabyte mechanical keyboard, but still nothing, no matter what the combinations (I tried Options + P + R) Only, I can access the automatically opened session but I don't have the administrator password. It is necessary to know that there is no more recovery partition, I tried to connect another hard disk, but when I connect another hard disk I have a blank screen. (m1 Mac Mini used as a server) Posted: 31 May 2021 09:51 PM PDT Hi All, I am trying to set up my mac mini as a server and I would like to be able to remotely connect to it without using teamviewer etc, Apple RD app is a bit too expensive and more in depth than I'm looking for as well. My issue is when I try and screen share with the mini from my m1 mbp it asks the mini to allow the session. I am logged in under my apple account on both devices. Is there any way around this? My friend has a base model 2017 MacBook pro , i checked and in every way the 2020 air is powerful than 2017 pro ( such as memory speed , much faster ssd , better cpu & etc... ) , i mainly do light 1080 video editing on premiere pro , my friend does much harder and power hungry suff easily but mine struggles to do that kind of Things . Even in safari when typing passwords my mac lags and the spinning colorful thing pops up all the time even for doing veryyy light stuff ( clicking on a link while web browsing ) What should i do about it ? | Posted: 31 May 2021 09:22 PM PDT so i have a 2009 iMac that's booted to recovery mode and i had an idea to turn it into a light and/or speaker. i've done it with other displays before by cranking the brightness and ripping out the lcd but that's besides the point. i can't get it to reinstall the OS so i'm wondering if there's some kind of "mock OS" i might be able to find that would have basic functionality like brightness and maybe photos or something. i'm not very software-savvy so hopefully someone can help me design. thanks [link] [comments]  |
