The camera, features and general feel of the device definitely confirm it's a flagship phone and I think I'll be getting another iPhone a few years down the line. As a new iPhone owner, what are your recommended tips, apps or settings for me? Also there was a weird glitch I noticed with the keyboard typing noise. She had forgotten it at a Target store in the bathroom and when we went back to look for it, it was gone. So I marked it as lost in the "find my" app. I then received a notification of the phone location and it was about 20 minutes away from us, I investigated the location and it was a flea market. Posted: 28 Jun 2021 12:40 AM PDT So I'm working on a video project that requires me to try and recreate the look of an iPhones messaging app. Part of the video has a character texting someone who turns out to not have their number activated anymore. I myself don't have an iPhone anymore (so I'm going off of memory and the internet) so I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the iPhone messaging app says when the number the message is sent to doesn't exist anymore. I assume that it just doesn't deliver the message but I don't want to be too inaccurate when recreating the app for the video so I thought I'd get confirmation on here. Does it just not deliver the message or does apple specifically tell the sender that the number is not in service and that messages can not be sent? [link] [comments]  |

He's 55 and not very tech savvy so the only thing he's said is that when he goes to the app store or whatever it's called, he types in an app and it doesn't say "get" so he can't download it. It sounds to me like they're already on this new phone but he can't find the apps and he didn't download them. It let him download Uber again but he can't get spades, duo, YouTube, or messenger which is the only app he didn't download on his old phone. Anyone have any idea what to do? [link] [comments]  |
| Volume/Power Button Not Working Properly Posted: 27 Jun 2021 10:49 PM PDT Hello everyone! I am having some issues with my iPhone 8+. Today my day started off with my Touch ID not working, and the double tap pull down option would freak out when trying to unlock my phone. But after an hour that seemed to clear up, but when that fixed, the power and volume button started to not work properly. Either volume button gets stuck and one click sends the volume to the max, and sometimes I can turn it down, and others it'll just be locked at max or no volume for a few seconds. The power button will at random points just stop working and will only work if I hold it long enough for the slide to to power off the phone option to come up. This could definitely have something to do with water damage. My charging port hasn't been working for about a week now. I accidentally left my phone in a color with melting ice while out the beach and got water in the speakers. Is it possible the water moved al the way to the top of my phone? Honestly I don't know but I don't want spend any money so if there's any remedies please let me know. [link] [comments]  |

Even the lens icons at the bottom of the screen are stuck facing sideways If i try taking photos in landscape the other way (camera lens closer to the ground) the photo comes out upside down [link] [comments]  |

The flash will also only work on those apps or when the camera is zoomed in 2x in the default app. I was thinking it might be a loose cable or something has anyone else had this issue resolved? I very very rarely ask it for walking directions, if ever. Yet the app constantly defaults to walking to directions. Under Settings>Maps I have driving selected as my preferred type of travel. I can still read them and send texts back, but as soon as I close the conversation it's deleted entirely. Has anyone run into a similar issue before or have any thoughts for a fix?
