Posted: 26 Jun 2021 10:01 PM PDT I just got an Apple Watch about 2 or 3 months ago. It recommended 600 move calories, 30 minute work out, 12 hours standing. Honestly it's been really hard to complete my rings most days. I ended up dropping to 500 move calories and I am so much more likely to complete it now. That said, I still miss the 30 minute workout and the stand goal a lot. The workout goal is tough cause on rest days or lazy days it takes like a 45 minute walk to do 30 minutes of "workout" walk. And on rest days I'll at most do a brisk walk. The stand goal is tough cause right now it's 9pm and I'm at 7/12 hours because for some reason it rarely ever reminds me to stand these days, and I can't complete it. I can't grind out the last 5 hours. I'm thinking of really lowering my goals, I mean I was super sedentary before the watch so anything is an improvement. I just am finding myself feel unmotivated by how little I complete the rings and therefore completing them less. It's hard when your day job is a work from home desk job so I really have to make an active effort. Not entirely sure the point of my thread lol, I guess just wondering what's everyone's goals at and has anyone tried the strategy of making your goals really easy? I do wish the workout goal was a weekly thing, not a daily thing. [link] [comments]

Apple Watch alarm that ensures you actually wake up? Posted: 27 Jun 2021 08:18 AM PDT Is there a Watch alarm that will stay going until it detects an elevated heart rate or higher ambient light or something, separate from an alarm app on an iPhone? I'm trying to find a silent alarm that I won't subconsciously snooze. The vibration wakes me up but I subconsciously dismiss it. Help! [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Jun 2021 08:14 AM PDT I would really love a Baltic Blue band or something close to. Leather ideally. Before you mention Apple's leather link, I'm not a fan of the look sadly. Anyone know of any? or even just good leather bands to look at? [link] [comments]

Looking for an app to notify me when watch charge reaches 80% Posted: 27 Jun 2021 07:58 AM PDT As the title says, I'm looking for an app that alerts you, reliably, when the apple watch charge reaches 80%. I'm currently doing this for the iphone with shortcuts and have managed to keep my health battery at 100%. I have the apple watch for much less time, and it's battery health is already 98%. But I don't see a way to do this with shortcuts for the apple watch. I've tried an app called cloud battery and it failed to notify me. There's also an app called juice battery by user u/gohnjanotis but it's a paid app, and I'm hesitant to buy it. I think the time interval of checking the charge is too long/random for this feature to work reliably is these apps. Do you have any experience with this app? Does Apple even give refunds like Google? I searched and found that you may ask for a refund but do they actually do it? Does it have to be within X minutes of buying an app for example? Thanks [link] [comments]
Airpods and AirPods Pro keeps disconnecting from Apple Watch 5 (cellular) after working briefly ? Posted: 27 Jun 2021 01:53 AM PDT It works for a few seconds then cuts out. I've tried with my phone off as well. [link] [comments]
Need some help with measuring for an Apple watch Posted: 27 Jun 2021 06:27 AM PDT I've never owned an Apple watch before and I've been mulling over the idea of getting one, I downloaded the paper measuring tool from the Apple website and it says I'm about a 7 but I've been reading about the measurements not being accurate, should I go for a 6 instead to be safe? Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC) on AW with Blood Oxygen app Posted: 27 Jun 2021 06:27 AM PDT Does anyone know if it's possible for the Apple Watch S6 with blood oxygen measurements to add EPOC estimates with a software update? FirstBeat powers the Garmin health and fitness tracking features. Some of those watches also track SPO2 too. This would be a great feature to add to help track how intense and exercise is and for how long afterwards you're still burning calories at an above normal pace. Seems a little odd to me that Apple has not added more of this kind of feature earlier since it's not like blood glucose; the tech already exists in watches. [link] [comments]
Can the battery for a cellular watch last all day? Posted: 26 Jun 2021 08:58 PM PDT Can the battery life on a cellular watch last at least 12 hours? The watch would be away from my phone during that period of time. During the 12 hours I would use it to reply to texts, around 10-15 minutes on a phone call, no more than 1 hour of music streaming, and run a 1 hour workout. I read online that battery life isn't that great if the watch is connected to LTE the entire the time, so I would just like to know what people who have a cellular watch have experienced. Posted: 27 Jun 2021 04:20 AM PDT Title. Basically I think something heavy was placed on my watch while it was charging and now it's got a large crack down one side of the screen - I've been looking for an excuse to upgrade and this seems like a good time to do it. My lifestyle is relatively inactive - I go for walks and try to go to the gym a couple of times a week but otherwise with working from home I'm pretty sedentary. Is the increase in price between the SE and series 6 worth it? Looking at the features, I can't tell if most of the upgrades are just gimmicks or actually genuinely useful. The biggest benefit to the series 6 that I can tell is the always-on screen and honestly I don't know if I'm that bothered by it. Anyone who has owned one (or both) of these models, what are your thoughts? What made you choose one over the other? [link] [comments]
how to turn off apple watch with iphone? Posted: 26 Jun 2021 08:20 PM PDT i left my watch at my dads house and i know he will snoop cuz he knows of my password. is there anyway to turn off my watch so he can't get in? [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Jun 2021 05:13 PM PDT So just picked up my series 6 (first time owner) and installed the Solar face. It's pretty neat. Just wondering how to position my self to tell where the sun is in relation to my position? That might sound a little confusing. What I mean is, when the sun is at say the 1pm mark…you know it's south. But the complication on my watch face doesn't match up with the direction I know the sun is facing. Any tips would be appreciated. Also does anyone have any other recommendations for similar watch faces with similar or better features? Thanks. [link] [comments]
Which AppleWatch would you recommend? Posted: 26 Jun 2021 11:47 PM PDT I've mainly seen the series 6, SE and the 3 as suggested. I am curious about personal experiences with them. I currently have an iPhone X and shall upgrade once I am able to the 12. I'd appreciate any advice or guidance. Thanks~ [link] [comments]
How can I make the most of my Apple Watch? Posted: 26 Jun 2021 02:10 PM PDT I've had a Series 3 Apple Watch for about a year now and to be honest, I barely use it. How I'd LIKE to use my watch:
TL;DR: I barely use my watch, what do you recommend to help me use it to its full extent rather than just as a timekeeper? [link] [comments]
Issue with watch receiving message alerts but not my phone when not wearing Posted: 26 Jun 2021 08:14 PM PDT I recently noticed that when I don't have my watch on and its locked. My iPhone wont ding or vibrate letting me know I got a text. Only way I know I got a text is because I happen to look at my phone. I don't believe this is how its suppose to work. If the watch isn't on my wrist, my phone should be alerting me that I am getting messages. Is this a glitch in the software or am I doing something wrong? Just now as typing this my watch vibrated but my phone did nothing. I tapped on my phone screen and I have a message.
