    It's gotten to the point where I just can't take it anymore. They are on every video and sometimes several of them per video.

    I used to use an app called Newpipe that worked great. Nothing seems to be like that for iPhone.

    I would just get YouTube Premium but apparently Google doesn't want my business in my country. 🙄

    Facetime won't activate, am I doing something wrong?

    My dad is in the ICU right now and the hospital he's at has ipads to facetime with. No one in the family has an ipad so we went to Walmart today to buy one but they didn't have any, so we started looking at the iphones through straight talk. We don't need another phone but the guy that was working there said we didn't need to buy a service card with it and that we could just do it over WiFi. I've been trying to set up the facetime for a few hours now and it just says waiting for activation or if it sits too long it goes back to the continue button which only makes it say waiting for activation again. Am I doing something wrong or was the guy at Walmart wrong and we have to put a service plan on the phone first?

    iPhone typing volume sounds inconsistent

    So when I type on my iPhone, the volume of the keyboard seems to change as I type. Like the longer I type the louder it gets. Does anyone else have this issue?

    I'm looking for an app that sends you reminders/notifications with a custom sound (a song or sound that I can choose from my music library) that works for Mac, iPhone, and Watch. Suggestions? Thanks!

    Todoist Premium does this but it will be too much to have a subscription just for this feature. I'm ok to spend max like 5-6 dollar.

    Looking for a mail app (free or lifetime purchase)

    I need to use 2 gmail and 1 outlook.

    I love all inboxes together. I like iOS stock mail app but it connects to server every 1 hour or less if I set it. The Gmail app doesn't automatically receives from outlook and outlook doesn't receives from Gmail. Also I don't want to miss Siri suggestions on stock mail app.

    I think it's almost impossible to find an mail app for all this but I just wanted to ask.

    Is there a way to make the Photos app (iOS 14.6 on a 12 mini) stay at the folder or I last viewed?

    My iPhone "curates" the widget constantly, and the app opens to show some irrelevant vacation photo or other.

    This adds needless navigation through various folders I rarely access, just to get the the starting point I want, for example the photo I just took while shopping of a price tag.

    I would prefer if the app always would open to Camera Roll, as it did in earlier iOS versions.

    Popping/clicking sound in bluetooth earphones

    Hi, i'm SO confused atm.

    So i had a iPhone 8 for like 2 years and since the beginning my bluetooth earphones always make this popping/clicking sound before playing a video on social media like instagram/facebook/tiktok. And if i wasn't playing anything i still heard the sound every 10 seconds. I tried like 5 different bluetooth earphones with my iPhone 8 and they all made the same sound.

    I got a new phone (iPhone 12) a few days ago and i still hear the same exact fucking sound. How is that possible?

    Does anyone know of a video player for iOS that properly supports WebVTT subtitles?

    Many websites nowadays (such as YouTube) do subtitles in WebVTT format. WebVTT is a "rich" format that supports positioning and colors and basic animations and stuff. If you download videos from these sites the .mp4 file comes along with the .vtt file that contains all the subtitling information.

    I can't for the life of me find a video player for iOS that properly supports this. Most can't load the .vtt files at all, and the ones that can (like VLC for iOS) only extract the raw textual component and ignore all of the formatting information which often leads to the subtitles being unreadable or duplicating across the screen several times.

    Does anyone know of a player that can handle this correctly? My only workaround is to use a PC to render the subs to an image and then overlay and encode that into a new video file and copy it to the phone, but that's a super tedious and wasteful process.

    iCloud backup fails even when I don't have enough space in my Mac?

    Hey,

    so I've recently bought 200GB of space on iCloud as I need to backup my iPhone (I really neglected syncing & backing up for a long time). I tried to back it up on iCloud via iTunes (yes, I'm on Mojave due to plugins which I use in Ableton) but it says that iTunes cannot backup my iPhone as I have no storage left on my Mac. How am I supposed to do a backup then?

    Both iPhone and MBP have 256 gigs of storage, but I have no idea how to do a proper backup. I was thinking of just backing up pics & messages (through turning on the features in iCloud settings on my iPhone), then restoring iPhone as a new device through iTunes without any backup and then downloading everything back (not restoring from backup tho!) from iCloud.

    Is that a viable thing how to not lose everything that I have? Especially Photos & iMessages? I don't care about WhatsApp or other apps which won't be synced tho.

    Notification count badge issue in ios

    Hey everyone you might have seen this issue as well. I have notifications on twitter, reddit, Apollo reddit, Instagram and others, even then notification badge count doesn't show the numbers unless I open the app and close it. What's the point of badges if you have to refresh the app manually to see the notification count? I am supposed to open the app if I had a notification badge 😑 can we do something about it to fix the issue? 🙄 My phone: iPhone 12 Pro Max iOS 14.6

    Memory leak since 14.5? I'm having to reboot my phone every day otherwise it slows to a crawl and apps start crashing.

    Apple Music + Ringtones

    This is probably a good question for /nostupidquestions but why can't we use our Apple Music library to create ringtones on our phones yet?

    I'm assuming it has something to do with copyright © nevertheless could someone explain that to me?

    WhatsApp background usage while background app refresh is off.

    As the title says, I have turned off my background app refresh and majority of the time, my phone is on Low Power mode, and yet when I check the battery usage, there is hours together of WhatsApp running in the background. What gives?

    My phone is 11 pro and it's on iOS 14.4.2.

    Sounds & haptics volume warning can’t be turned off and automatically turns volume down to half on phone if you receive the warning and switch Bluetooth devices speaker in home to car radio

    So, I recently got a M1 MacBook Air through work and I've been trying out some iOS apps & games. Is there a definitive list of which iOS apps can be installed on an M1 Mac via the Mac App Store? Or is there a way to search for just iOS apps? I know that there is the Apple Silicon Games site but, it's strictly for games. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
