Question about the upcoming Apple Music update regarding iPhone X compatibility

I'm aware the iPhone X built-in speakers do not support Dolby Atmos; however, the device should still be able to stream Dolby Atmos audio to compatible headphones, such as AirPods Pro, right? I've tried the Dolby Atmos Music demo on their website and it seems to work just as well on my iPhone X (no Atmos) as it does on my iPad Pro 4 (Atmos). Call me paranoid, but I need to know as soon as possible if my current phone will support this awesome new feature to satisfy my overly anxious mind 😫
