Posted: 15 May 2021 12:33 AM PDT Hello r/AppleWatch! 👋 My name is Valter and I make Liftin' Workout Tracker, a gym app for iPhone and Apple Watch inspired by apps made by Apple. I have released some big updates the last six months and wanted to share them here as I usually get great feedback from you guys! If you want a promo code, send me a message! Leave the comments for discussion and feedback. I will throw in a Lifetime promo code for a randomly selected user! 🥳 What's new in Liftin'
Liftin' supports many different kids of workout programs, but some that have cycles of multiple weeks have been a bit tricky to set up. This is now solved with a new level of organisation of your routines in weeks. You can add as many weeks as you like and configure auto-progression to kick in only after the last workout in the cycle has been completed.
Enabled by the new weeks system is the classic powerlifting program 5/3/1. You can add the built in one to get started and customize the program just how you want it.
By making Liftin' heavily focused on predefined programs has made the app a bit inflexible for users who often mix it up during workouts. This has been solved with the new option to add and skip exercises during the workout. You can also set up alternative exercises to easily switch to if for example a certain equipment is unavailable.
The latest update to Liftin' added the much requested feature to track estimated and true 1RM. Many different estimation formulas are supported and you can easily input your values directly from your workout or the progress tab. You can also set your Training Max as a percentage of your 1RM. Thanks to everyone who are using Liftin' and sending me feedback! You help me make the app better! 🙏 You can follow me on Twitter @liftinApp if you want all the latest updates. I'm looking forward hearing your feedback! 🙂 PS. If you want to join the beta program (which is free) I have some spots there as well, you can sign up here. [link] [comments]

Curious what people think of their expectations for using Apple Watch features Posted: 15 May 2021 06:00 AM PDT Before buying Apple Watch, which feature did you think you would use a lot but then ended up not using so much? And what feature did you surprisingly end up using more than you thought you would? For me I thought I would use heart rate and sleep monitoring often but I don't look at either that often. I like having it though. And activity, and closing rings I thought I wouldn't care about but it's become a central focus of mine daily. I've been exploring my city more because I go on walks to close my rings every day. [link] [comments]
Apple Training or Nike run Club? Posted: 15 May 2021 05:51 AM PDT What is better? Would both of them support my activity rings ? What is tracked per each if If I just start running? Can I change After warts? Can I use both apps simultaneously or will it count double somehow? Do I need to start a workout ? All additional detail and reviews are welcome as well I don't want to use 3apps - I try to stay minimal [link] [comments]

Posted: 15 May 2021 12:41 AM PDT Hey everyone, Had a Stainless Steel Series 5 since launch day, my battery health is down to 81% and generally struggles to get to the end of day unless I turn off AOD. I'm in the UK and I've got AppleCare+ does anyone know what they'll do? If anything? I'm not keen on being without my Watch for a week if they ask for it to be sent away! Thanks :) [link] [comments]
Is there a place to find Apple Watch friends? Posted: 15 May 2021 07:40 AM PDT I don't know anyone else that uses an Apple Watch for workouts. Is there some place or way you look for friends I can add for stuff like competitions? [link] [comments]
Posted: 15 May 2021 07:14 AM PDT Despite being an iPhone and all things Mac user for over a decade, I feel like a complete noob with the Apple Watch. I want less notifications because I want the battery to last longer. I don't watch pictures or anything like that on my watch. I'd like it to function as close to a Fitbit as possible. I also want to figure out how to better understand the activity tracker and these coloured rings. Any help is appreciated! All I can find is feature videos, not "how to" videos. Is it possible to use my Apple Watch (Cellular) without any iPhone at all? Posted: 15 May 2021 06:06 AM PDT Hi there, So my current situation is that I bought an iPhone 12 Pro off eBay which will arrive Tuesday/Wednesday. I'm currently rocking my S5 Cellular paired with my iPhone 12. I listed my iPhone 12 for sale at a local market place and one person wants to pick it up tomorrow and he will pay really good for it (more than normal market price for a used iP12) because he needs it quick due to work. My question is, can I use my watch with the cellular enabled without a connected iPhone at all? So if I remove my phone from the Apple ID in order to sell it, will my watch still get cellular signal, can I still receive every message, phone call etc? Or do I need to have an iPhone connected to the same Apple ID in order to achieve that? Thanks in advance for the Help! [link] [comments]
