    My friend from work is a die hard Android fan and we always get into friendly arguments over which platform is best. The 5 points I always make are;

    • longevity of software support.
    • third party apps are generally higher quality.
    • much better security and privacy.
    • No preinstalled bloatware.
    • much more stable and polished than Android.

    Keyboard issues

    Has anyone else had the issue where after sending a message, the keyboard defaults back to the numerals and symbols section, rather than the main alphabetic screen? My phone has been doing this for about 6 months now, and it's really becoming annoying...

    Edit: I have an iPhone 12 Pro and am on 14.5.1. It was doing this before though with my iPhone 8.

    Lost mode pending

    Yesterday I lost my iPhone. I managed to activate lost mode through iCloud. However, it is pending.

    Since the activation of lost mode, the phone has changed locations twice and still I have to reactivate lost mode each time.

    What's the point of lost mode if it doesn't kick in when the phone is found?

    Could they have gotten in to my phone?

    If I change my iCloud password, will I never find the phone?

    Strange Octane benchmark change after 14.5/14.5.1 update

    Though Octane benchmark is not really important, I still find it quite strange:

    Before the update (I guess it is due to 14.5.1 as it fixed something related to WebKit), I have Octane benchmark for iPhone SE2 around 40k and around 20k for iPad pro 10.5 (not sure about the score of iPad but definitely below 30k)

    After the update, I got around 18k for iPhone SE2 no matter in power saving mode or not (that is the score for power saving mode before update) and above 30k for iPad pro 10.5

    How could this be?

    Edit: After run the test again on another iPhone SE2, I found that only happened to mine :(

    Apple Reminders app

    Why the apple default reminders apps doesn't send me notifications of certain reminders even if I add high priority, certain date and time option to it?? Is it just the way it works without sending any notifications?? I guess I should go for third party apps soon..

    It is 2021 and I still can’t sync my Mail signature (iOS) with the desktop version. What am I doing wrong?

    Notifications sound not coming

    Hey. Does anyone else have this issue when iPhone is locked there is no notification sound. But when it's unlocked I receive sound. All notifications are on and phone is not on silent.

    Is it possible to recover deleted videos?

    Hi,

    I'm an iPhone 12 user with the latest iOS, 14.5.1. Yesterday, my boss handed me a video of an office meeting on a USB, and that video is of a bit classified material. I plan to transfer that video to my iPhone, watch it and then delete it after I'm done, which, what I usually do, is through the Files app. And when I delete files, I always make sure they're also gone in the "Recently Deleted" category. Just FYI, I don't have a MacBook. I'm gonna be transferring the video using the iTunes app in Windows 10, and I'm gonna place it on the Infuse (the default video player that I use) folder.

    Now, onto this post's title, is it possible for someone to recover deleted videos on iOS 14? Is deleting videos (or any files for that matter) from the "Recently Deleted" enough?

    Will Apple ever allow other browsers than Safari?

    Do you think will Apple any time soon allow other browsers on iPhone and ipad? Its seriously annoing to me that i cant install real Firefox or any chromium based browser on it... Why They are doing this. Why everything must be Just clones of safari... :/

    (iOS 14.5.1)Weird gallery bug when you hold your finger on the title text and scroll right before haptic touch triggers. The text duplicates or scrolls down, then goes back to normal shorty after. Do you guys have this too?

    The bluetooth button in the control centre doesn't show the device im connected to right on the wifi/data/bluetooth Tab..i have to go into Bluetooth to see what device I'm connected to

    My auto brightness stops working if i adjust the brightness manually..i mean it stays turned on but doesn't work

    Airpods just dont connect that fast as they used to.. before if i was playing a song on the speaker and put my AirPods in.. it was instant.. now i put it in, wait 2 secs then hear the connection sound and then it starts playing

    But the most annoying is definitely the bluetooth thing not showing what device I'm connected to.. its really inconvenient

    my iPhone 7 was stuck in boot loop and now I am trying to Factory reset it by connecting it to my MacBook. However, when I try to restore it, it says "iPhone unable to restore. An error occurred (4)." I am starting to think this phone is beyond repair LOL.

    IPad Air (3rd Gen) 2019 Pre-Zooms When Recording Video

    When I take a picture it is at normal zoom level whilst when I switch to record video it zooms the recording to abominable levels. Its really annoying as when I want to record something I have to be a good distance away and the resolution tanks. Here is what I am talking about: Video Zoom Vs Picture

    blue light filter / f.lux alternative for iPhone

    Go to settings then color filter, then click color tint and set how much you want. Hope this helps you people i was looking for something like this and would have killed to know this with eye strains.

    Maps voice cuts out and long unnecessary lowering of music volume

    When using Maps navigation, sometimes Siri's voice stops prematurely, or even doesn't work at all. Often after taking an instructed turn, for example, the music playing lowers in volume like she is going to say something, but she doesn't. Also commonly she will give an instruction but the music volume stays lowered for 3 or 4 seconds longer than necessary. If I tap the volume icon while navigating and switch it to low, and then back to normal, when it does the demonstration of the volume, she says nothing, only the music volume is lowered. I'm wondering if others are having this happen or if anyone knows a solution?
