    It look a long time but after going back and forth with name.com support, I am happy to report that MainRepo is down for now due to them spreading malware. They will likely be back under a different (or the same?) domain soon, but good news is that the existing malware will stop working for now as it relies on the domain to receive commands to execute on your device as part of the botnet.

    Essentially they need to find a new domain host that is fine with them hosting malware, I'm not sure if there are any.

    • Fixed crashes on iOS 9-12 because I took some code from LockWatch, thinking it would just work on anything older than iOS 13. Sometimes my stupidity is almost frightening. That's a Top Gear reference, by the way
      For this, I had to increase the minimum iOS requirement to iOS 9, which shouldn't be too much of a problem, since iPhone 4s and iPad 2 both support iOS 9.

    • Added automatic reset dialog: If you select an unsupported resolution and your screen goes black, just wait 30 seconds and the resolution will be reset to default (thanks to /u/Prosoch for this suggestion!)
    • More localization improvements

    Have you ever wanted to change the screen resolution of your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, but people told you to not mess with system files or your resolution as it could send your device into an actual boot loop? With Re:Scale 2 you can. It's safe to use and the resolution is only applied while you're jailbroken.

    Re:Scale 2 supports every resolution of devices that run iOS 9 or later:

    Note: Not every resolution may be compatible with every version of iOS.

    What makes Re:Scale 2 different from tweaks like Upscale/Re:Scale 1, LittleBrother or SystemInfo?

    • Upscale (and Re:Scale 1) persisted the changed resolution in a file that is read by iOS even when not jailbroken, which could lead to a boot loop if an incompatible resolution is applied. Also, this tweak is hasn't really been updated since it released back in the days of iOS 8, so it only includes resolutions from iPhone 4s up to iPhone 6 Plus.
    • LittleBrother was basically only supported from iOS 8 to iOS 10 and hasn't received any update ever since. It was a paid release, and only allowed the user to choose between 3 Display Zoom modes on iPhone 6 and 6s.
    • System Info's resolution changing portion works similar to Upscale, only that the persisted change is reverted after applying a resolution, so you have to apply this resolution manually every time after reboot.

    Re:Scale 2 works similar to LittleBrother as it hooks into the process responsible for doing "framebuffer magic" (aka backboardd). Instead of loading the resolution from com.apple.iokit.IOMobileGraphicsFamily.plist, the values are overriden by Re:Scale 2 at runtime, so the resolution is only applied while your jailbreak is active. Additionally, if you're running iOS 11 or later and get the "Red Status Bar" bug (😳 rdar:45025538), you can set an appropriate Status Bar right in the preferences pane.

    If you have set a higher resolution and your device is rebooted, it is recommended to rejailbreak with tweaks disabled ("Safe Mode" in checkra1n) and disable Re:Scale 2 using iCleaner before rejailbreaking again with tweaks enabled.

    Currently known issues:

    • You may experience a higher battery drain when using a higher resolution.
    • Potential layout issues (Phone, Spotlight etc.) - Use NoMoreSmallApps or stretcher to fix

    kbstretcher is a standalone tweak implementing the same keyboard layout fixes as Re:Scale 2. It's intended to be used if you choose to use a different resolution changing tweak (maXscale, System Info, etc) and suffer from a shifted keyboard. This tweak stretches your keyboard to an appropriate size if your have set a custom screen resolution on your device.

    Title says it, what's the deal? Installed it earlier, noticed the thread is deleted and the Github doesn't have the release anymore. Was it unstable? Were there problems with how it worked?     [Help] How to fix Broken Autolock Function (Re:scale 2)

    Hello, I installed Re:scale 2, after playing around with the tweak I uninstalled it but my iphone X never autolock now both in jailbreak and un jailbreak states. Any advice to fix would be a great help. Preference file deleted using icleaner, iphone restarted couple of times but to luck.

    I was messing around with newterm and tried to connect to my Pi-hole. To my surprise it worked.

    The format of the command should be ssh [username]@[local IP]. Then hit enter and it asks for the password. If you haven't changed the default password(which you should do, more on that later), it is alpine.

    Here I'm connected to my phone with my iPad, and you can see the command ssh root@192.168.101.

    P.S I still haven't figured out how to include the password there so it'll be just one command. If anyone knows how to, do let me know :D

    *If you have OpenSSH installed and the default password, anyone on the network can login as root and effectively have full access to your device. It's a security risk, especially on untrusted public networks. To change your root password, first login as root/su and then type passwd. Then enter your new password and you're good to go!

    It's my third time with over 100 days of uptime on my iPhone 8 (iOS 13.3) and Checkra1n. I had to reboot twice (at 100+ days) because my wireless charger stopped working. I'm currently at 125 days, and my wireless charger just stopped working. Is there a link between wireless charging not working and 100+ days of uptime?

    Hi all, I have had this problem with the MyMaccas (McDonalds) app for a while now. Every time I try and open it, it suddenly crashes. I have choicy and A-bypass installed, choicy doesn't work and neither does A-bypass... I'm just wondering if anyone else is having/had this same problem and knows of a fix. Cheers.

    [Question] Can’t use WhatsApp on iOS 12 anymore

    Running an iPhone 7 on iOS 12.0, latest unc0ver w/ Cydia

    About a year ago, the updates to WhatsApp began to crash the app upon startup. I downgraded the app to a version (2.20.61) that worked, and used tweaks (Block WA Updates, WhatsApp ++) to bypass the forced update screen.

    About a month ago, WhatsApp simply stopping communicating with the Internet. What I open the app, it stays on "Connecting.." forever, I can't back up my chats from settings, no messages send or are received.

    Idk how to troubleshoot this bc I can't uninstall this version of WhatsApp and reinstall it, as my chats won't backup. Also, making a local backup isn't feasible for me rn.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Anyone else get this problem? I noticed my sound wasn't working at all when playing music/videos so I rebooted into an unjailbroken state to get it to work. After rejailbreak my sound was working but the volume bar is still missing in control center. iPhone X 14.3

    [Question] checkra1n suddenly fails on 6s with iOS 13.5.1 on Mojave

    Hi folks! I just had to re-jailbreak my 6s today and for some reason checkra1n crashes just after DFU mode is entered and then iTunes opens up. It worked flawlessly before. Only "change" I can think of is that today I connected a phone with iOS14.5 and there was some kind of driver/software update installed. (Mojave, see image below by u/sevenpastzeero/)

    When I open checkra1n again it says it detects a device in DFU mode and I should enter normal mode. I also tried the cli mode, but that fails as well. (see below)

    I thought about switching to unc0ver for a while, not sure if I can just jailbreak with unc0ver, run succession and then properly jailbreak with unc0ver again. Otherwise any help regarding checkra1n is appreciated! Thanks!

    EDIT: Also, if I did in fact switch to unc0ver, would my current iCloud backup for the device include any leftover files/info from checkra1n so that I should not use the backup and start fresh? I know fresh is always better, but being lazy is as well ;)
