Also, when she is out on the cellular signal, the same issues occur. Is there anything I can do to help remedy the situation or is this possibly a known issue Apple is working on? Once it got a bit of charge in it I turned it on to see that the Camera app was responsible for 89% of my usage with one minute on screen time. Hi, recently switched from Samsung to Iphone and cannot get around this problem: When using video chat (Whatsapp, Discord, facebook) with someone, as soon as I switch tabs (for example to check reddit), the feed cuts to my video chat partner. Posted: 25 Feb 2021 09:09 AM PST I have a apple iPhone 8 Plus, latest update, and I have noticed that in certain webpages with forms, like where to fill out your personal data for getting an account or filling out address and so on on a purchase or now last I noticed, a form to get a forgotten password. The whole touchscreen stops working, sometimes safari crash, sometimes I have to close safari. It occurs after one or more fields are filled, then it freezes. I can't find anything on the www . Sometimes they'll be gone for a bit, but as soon as we text another image, they both pop back up in the history. All the other pics do delete though. Pretty frustrating. Any tips? | iPhone X - Reverse Temperature Problem Posted: 25 Feb 2021 12:02 PM PST I've seen a lot of posts talking about the iPhone X losing response to touch after being exposed to the cold, but I seem to be experiencing the opposite problem. I've had my phone out in the cold (Chicago winter temps, woohoo) and everything was working fine, but within a few minutes of being inside, the region of my screen where the "h" and "b" keys are located becomes completely unresponsive (when I press on those spaces my phone assumes I am pressing keys on either side, and this zone is also dead when swiping on the screen). | 2020SE - Missing/Severely Delayed Receipt of Texts Posted: 25 Feb 2021 06:28 AM PST I've been missing texts intermittently for about three weeks. Seems to be random. Sometimes it's in the middle of a conversation and I'll get texts before and after with no problem. Definitely on iMessages, haven't noticed it on SMS but I don't use it enough to say otherwise. Once I realize I'm missing a text, if I put my phone on airplane mode for a second, that fixes it. I've got a 2020 SE on Cricket wireless. Purchased in the US, don't remember exactly when. iOS is up to date and has updated to a new version since then. I've tried: factory reset, network reset, disconnecting from my shitty WiFi. You think it's a phone issue or carrier issue? Any other suggestions? I thought maybe replacing the SIM? | Apple / iPhone bad customer service practices Posted: 25 Feb 2021 05:25 AM PST I'm not sure anyone here has advice other than to throw my iPhone in the trash and get an android phone. My iPhone 7 has a known manufacturing issue or defect in that it stops connecting to either wi-fi and /or cell service for no apparent reason. I called Apple and they are aware of this issue and are going to fix the phone by, I assume, installing a new motherboard. The thing that just frosts me is they want to charge $149. For what you ask. Well, he $149 is to pay for a new screen. Keep in mind the current screen is fine and has no cracks but apparently, when they take the screen off to fix it, it usually breaks the screen ????. So let me get this straight; my phone goes in for a repair to fix an issue I had nothing to do with and in fixing it, Apple breaks it and I HAVE TO INCUR THE COST??? WTF? So i deleted about 3000 pictures (i only have 100 left) but it still is 17GB. Its also gone from Recently Deleted as well, but its not decreasing. All the settings are the same (from what I can see), but the headphone volume is much lower on the new one. However, when I play both without the headphones, it's the same volume. | Is Charging Your Phone Through a PC Safe? Posted: 24 Feb 2021 05:29 PM PST I was wondering if charging your iPhone through a USB connection to your PC will damage your battery in any way. I know that it charges very slowly and I'm not sure if that is healthy or not. I've seen mixed answers saying that it is actually good for the battery because it's charging so slow. Some also say it will degrade the battery faster because heat will build up from charging too long. Is there an answer to this? Thanks. | No sound while on phone calls and FaceTimes fail immediately Posted: 24 Feb 2021 09:13 PM PST I have an iPhone 7 running on 14.1 (accidental update). Today I started encountering an issue where while on phone calls I have no audio and the other person cannot hear me. This happens both when calling and when answering calls. I have found that when calling, sometimes I can hear the ringing audio but sometimes no ringing sound is made with zero changes between calls. While testing the issues I found that FaceTimes failed immediately upon acceptance, again for both calls made and calls from others accepted. I tried making calls with headphones and that did not make a difference but I did notice that if I played music with headphones in, it came from the iPhone speaker instead of the headphones. So far I have shut down the phone and restarted it and cleaned out the headphone/charging port which hasn't helped. It's an old phone and while nothing happened today of note to cause an issue, it has taken damage in its life so I'm anticipating having to replace it but would prefer not to so asking here for any potential fixes.
