    Iphone SE cant perform backup

    Got my SE today, everything was going well, was using touch ID then realized I didn't remember the password I put in. I performed the backup as instructed, and every time it just stops in the middle, no error message, and i have to do it again. ive used 2 different lightning cables and nothing is working, im using itunes on windows. any suggestions? thanks.

    Trying to open video with QuickTime

    Hi! I'm trying to open video with QuickTime so I can edit it with iMovie. It currently will only open with vlc which doesn't help me because I need to edit it. File is .mp4 mpeg-4 movie. What can I do to solve this problem?

    I have the iPhone 7 and its updated to the most recent OS but just today I phone suddendly didn't charge. I let it charge for an hour turned off completely, and when I turned it back on, it only went up to 3 percent and everything just felt very slow. Is it because of my storage because I don't have a lot of storage left on my phone at all. Thanks!

    IPhone XS screen recorded image I have never seen by itself- hack?

    Hello,

    I have an iPhone XS running iOS 14.4. Yesterday, I picked up my locked phone and see a notification on the lock screen that a screen recording has ended. When I look at this screen recording, it's a 40-second video of what appears to be a screenshot of an iPhone game "Word Secret: Owl Rescue Game." Weirdly enough, it looks to be zoomed out between two images- picture here. The video is just a static recording of this image.

    I can't find this game anywhere on my phone, even when searching, and there isn't much information about it online.

    I can see online that other people have had their iPhone screen record without them knowing, but it seems to be a glitch/accident. I'm honestly more concerned about what my phone screen recorded.

    Could my phone possibly be hacked? I've found some troubling recent news articles about remote iPhone hacking. My boyfriend suggests doing a DFU reset- would this help get rid of the hacker/bug if so?

    Any advice appreciated, honestly very concerned about this. Thank you! :)

    Is apple support down?

    I've got a computer in for service right now and the last 12 hours or so have been unable to login to the site to see if there's any status update. Can someone else try and see if they can login. You can just Google apple repair status or click this link https://support.apple.com/repair

    When I hit login, it loads a page to login using face I'd. After logging in and looking like it's going to load the page, it just loads the login page again. I've tried my iPhone with safari. Tried with private browsing. Tried on my iMac also. And tried logging in with 2 desperate apple IDs and still the same thing. Any ideas or is this also happening if you attempt to log in?

    iPhone 12 Pro Max Volume Up Button Sticky

    I don't know how but few days ago I noticed a random sticky residue around volume up button. I tried cleaning it off but now my volume button is a little sticky and doesn't give that tactile click that my volume down button gives. It still works but I want the tactile click back. What do I do to clean the residue stuck in the button???

    Issues logging in

    I have two IDs, one I don't use anymore and one I do. On my MacBook, my old one is logged into iTunes (needed the music on it for a class in college). Not the whole Mac (the email doesn't auto fill when I click sign in on the App Store, for example). I've been trying to switch to my new one on iTunes but whenever I try, the pop up window defaults back to my old one after I put in my password (I'm putting in everything correctly, I get a verification code for my new ID and put that in).

    I've logged onto iCloud and removed my Mac as a device, I'm logged out of iTunes when I try to log in. Is there anything I'm missing? I've tried going through System Preferences but can't find my ID anywhere as something I found on Google suggested.

    Is there a way to use a MBP as a second monitor for a Mac mini?

    Got a 2018 intel Mac mini and I have a 4K monitor attached to it. I'd like to use my 13 inch 2019 MBP as a second monitor.

    Aside from buying Luna, is there another way to do this using thunderbolt cables? Thanks for any replies!

    Unable to unhide apps from home screen

    I used the feature where you can hold down the app and choose the option to hide it from your Home Screen rather than delete it. I now see no way to undo this? When I hold it down on the App Library as others have suggested online it only gives me the option to share the app and there's no option to add it back to my Home Screen. It might be me being stupid but I really don't see a way to undo this? I can't even find a way to delete the app and reinstall it as it doesn't give me the option to delete either. Any help would be appreciated.

    Buying a phone from walmart & going overseas

    hello everybody , hope someone can help , cuz even apple support didnt , so a family member got me an iphone xs max , they bought it from walmart in the usa , since it was unlocked they thought it would work worldwide , but when i put my local sim it gives me this message :

    the sim card that you currently have installed in this iphone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. this is not a hardware issue with the iphone. please insert another sim card from a supported carrier or request that this iphone be unlocked by your carrier.please contact apple for more information.

    i even tried to put a us sim card which worked but when i put a local one it gives the same message

    we tried apple , walmart , even at&t customer services but nobody gave a solution , anybody can help?

    Questions about iTunes and the music app - iPhone

    Hi!

    I've got a few questions about downloading and deleting music through iTunes.

    Will importing a ton of music, around the lines of 10gb from my pc via iTunes harm my iPhone, fragmentation, slower system, etc?

    In addition, will deleting the songs via iTunes leave behind fragments, orphan files files like that, etc, and will it cause fragmentation, harm to the device slow down the system anything like that?

    Plus will deleting the music through my iPhone instead of iTunes make a difference and cause any damage like leave behind fragments, orphan files files like that, etc, and will it cause fragmentation, harm to the device slow down the system anything similar to this? Or is there no difference between deleting via iTunes or iPhone?

    I use an iPhone 6 using IOS 10.0.2. About a year ago the phone wouldn't let me send emails but I could receive them using the mail app. I have storage issues but the phone hasn't crashed in a while. I have very few apps on the phone.

    Now the phone won't fetch mails, saying my password is incorrect. The password is in fact correct - I've checked it on other platforms and it works fine. Also I double check what I am typing in.

    I tried retyping in the password under settings, and that didn't work. I deleted my account and tried to reinstall it. I also rebooted my phone.

    I would update my software but the phone won't complete the reboot.

    Asking kindly for any insight or help with many thanks in advance.

    What is the keyboard shortcut to select Predictive Text when using an external keyboard?

    I recently started writing extensively on my iPad using a Logitech K380 external keyboard.

    It's been great except for one persistent issue.

    When ever I see the next word I want to type within the Predictive Text options, I have to remove my hands from the keyboard, ending my flow, and select the next word.

    I searched but yielded no results for a simple keyboard shortcut.

    Is there one built into iOS?

    Can there be a workaround?

    Would another keyboard be a possible solution?

    Ideally I'd be able to maintain my flow and write with the help of the artificial intelligence that powers my predictive text, instead of fighting against it because it continually breaks my concentration while I express my new and fleeting ideas.

    Replacement internal SSD for late 2013 MBPr

    The drive is going bad and needs to be replaced. Do I need to buy a specific drive from Apple or would most internal replacement drives work? Also how hard is it to replace and install the OS etc?

    In case someone is wondering when I try to upgrade to Big Sur it fails telling me the drive is bad with a SMART error. When I rebooted and tested it with first aid it didn't find any issues.

    Not sure if this is the right place to post this but... My Mac suddenly stopped being able to charge last week and I was told the port needed replacing when I brought it in. I get a call today saying the port is fixed but after they ran a diagnostics now the audio is damaged! This was NEVER a problem for me before, in fact, I haven't had a single problem with the sound or my Mac in all the four years I've had it except for this one charging issue that hit out of the blue. They're asking for another repair fee to fix the motherboard on top of the replacement port, I am assuming they somehow damaged it in their repair! How is this fair that I have to pay for something they caused? Has anyone else had a similar experience? What did you do?

    iPhone/iPad apps won’t install on M1 MacBook Pro.

    I just recently purchased a MacBook Pro M1 and am having a strange error. When I try to install an iPhone/iPad app from the official App Store the download icon spins for a second then goes back to the cloud icon. I've tried numerous apps and I have even signed out of my apple account and back in with no luck. Any suggestions would be great!
