Any free games that are not predatory?

    Posted: 02 Feb 2021 06:00 AM PST

It feels like I have an iphone for no reason except wasting time on social media. I'd rather be playing games. But paid games are more sit-down types with save and exit mechanics while free games are more tailored to checking once in a while. So I need one. Hopefully with only cosmetic IAPs and a good story with player progression. Any good recommendations?

edit: No anime, please. Unless it's tasteful. Personal preference

RPG games for iPad that don't require controller

    Posted: 02 Feb 2021 07:41 AM PST

I'm looking for more games (rpg with progression if possible) that would work well on an iPad pro 11" and have good touch to move controls. I have a problem with my left thumb I can't use it too much. I've played a lot of SDV and Eve echoes and they both do tap to move well. Paid and free are both good. Thanks!

    Management/simulation games recommendations and discussion.

    Posted: 01 Feb 2021 09:26 PM PST

Hey all, I've been looking for more management/tycoon style games to play since ive exhausted my current library. Ive played a handful of kairosoft games, but they're all the same now. Any other recommendations? I'll post my favorites from this past year, maybe you guys would be interested in them too.

Leather - Boxing gym management game, take control of a gym and manage a bunch of boxers training to win titles. This game has a lot of depth and easy to learn for a non boxing fan like me.

Retro Bowl - American football simulation. Run an NFL team with basic actual gameplay, drafting and management. The game was really fun and had me spending the dollar to upgrade my roster size, the developer deserves it.

Fiz - Run your own beer brewery, fairly complex but once you understand the basics, becomes really engaging.

Others that I'd checkout if these piqued your interests: any kairosoft game, shop titans, this war of mine, soda dungeon 2. If you guys have any other recommendations, definitely post them.

    Save Eddy Smile

    Posted: 02 Feb 2021 10:51 AM PST

I thought I would post about this game since no one else has mentioned it. I tried it and liked it quite a bit. Here is my mini review:

    Save Eddy Smile

The game starts off great. You have no idea what's going on, and it has a sort of Tron-like (a very dated reference, I know) surrealism. You start the first level mostly blind, and then the game will quickly teach you the basics. That's not to say it's easy, in fact this game is BRUTALLY hard, for me at least. I still haven't been able to "perfect" level 5 (after my initial play session). I like the difficulty though.

There are IAPs to purchase extra characters, but you seem to be able to earn them just by playing as well. There are also mentions of in-game ads, but I haven't seen a single one yet! So far, I have been able to completely ignore the monetization.

Thoroughly enjoying this one, and just thought I would bring attention to it!

Looking for a good ARPG/Dungeon Crawler

    Posted: 01 Feb 2021 08:30 PM PST

I have played Torchlight 2 on pc many years ago. I've dabbled in Diablo 3 for a small amount of time. Now i am looking for the best ARPG on the app store. I'll be using an ipad. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Edit - Controller support is a huge plus!

    Looking for a game

    Posted: 01 Feb 2021 03:14 PM PST

I downloaded it years ago. It was a traffic puzzle game. You choose which vehicles move. It was noir like. I think there was even fog. I can picture yet don't remember the title.

Update: the game is "does not commute"

Will we ever get to play games on iPad using keyboards that use the keyboard connector on iPads?

I have the Logitech Touch Folio and would love to use this for gaming when I forget my controller at home. I always have this and a bluetooth mouse with me
