    iOS 14.5 b1 - improvements to flicker and tint issues for 12 Pro Max

    Looks like with the iOS 14.5 public beta, there is some improvement to flickering and tint issues that plagued my phone since day 1. I have a launch day 12 Pro Max and with each new iOS version, there didn't appear to be any changes.

    First, the tinting. It's a bit better with the device at the lowest brightness level. Greys at this level still look slightly greenish. But it's a improvement over the green tint washout from before.

    As for the flickering. Also an improvement, but alas the issue remains. Good news is I cannot reproduce flickering when going through pages in the Settings app at different brightness levels. So at least you shouldn't see flickering anymore while in apps in dark mode at low brightness levels.

    But to fully test this issue, I used this video: https://youtu.be/AYtvehF9-Z8

    At the lowest brightness level, there is no flicker although the background is not pure black. At the highest brightness levels the video is fine. It's anywhere else in between, such as setting the Control Centre slider so that it cuts the "sun" in half that you can see flickering. All this testing was done in a dark room.

    Here's hoping Apple continues to make improvements, unless they end up doing a hardware recall

    iOS 14.5 v1 Critical Bug

    Hello everyone, I'm on 14.5 DevB v1 (18E5140j) and I have found a critical bug. The device I am using is an iPhone 11 Pro. I have stopped receiving any notification, and calls. When swiping to the "Notifications Tab" it's always empty. The only way I can receive them is thought my Apple Watch 3 on 7.0 (18R382). The same thing happens with my calls. My iPhone does not ring at all, only if the Apple Watch is close, then it will ring only on the watch. This is a really major bug, since these features are the most important in a mobile device! I am gonna update to v2 in a few moments, so I will tell you if it is fixed!

    Edit : After updating to iOS DevB v2 14.5 (18E5140k) all my notifications are back, and so are my calls. So, seems like the issue has been resolved 👏

    The PS App doesn't open at all, it just crashes when trying to open it. Never happened on any previous beta.

    I'm on an iPhone 12 Pro and feedback has been submitted to Apple.

    iOS 14.5 b1 - dropped frames when scrolling

    It's been a few hours since I updated my phone so any post-install indexing should've been done by now. I'm noticing a stutter when scrolling. Scrolling in Settings, scrolling through posts in Apollo, etc.

    iOS 14.4/14.5 Dev betas / Touch screen issues/dead spots on XS Max

    Anyone else having issues with certain areas of the screen becoming unresponsive to the touch? I can't use certain keys on my keyboard for example. It started on the last few betas of 14.4 and persists in 14.5.

    When changing app icons why is it necessary for us to restart the iPhone for the change to take effect? I don’t recall this having to be done in the past (before iOS 14)
