| DualShock controller dropping connection Posted: 06 Feb 2021 07:16 AM PST A game I've been playing a lot recently (Genshin Impact) just added controller support in the recent update, something I've been really looking forward to a lot ever since release. So, I bought myself a DualShock 4 (model CUH-ZCT2U) and got it paired. Out of the box - without doing anything else - I played for a couple of minutes and was really, really happy with it. I noticed the battery had about a quarter-charge remaining, so I plugged it in to a USB phone charger to get it back up to full so that I could pull a little marathon session & I went to the grocery store. I got back about an hour later & everything seemed fine until I pressed the PlayStation button to reconnect it to my iPad Air 4. The light on the controller blinked white a couple of times, then flashed red (which was the same color it had shown when connected) and then went off. In that time it had shown up on my battery widget as being fully charged. So I went into my Bluetooth settings and it showed as disconnected. Thinking it was maybe a fluke, I pressed the PS button again and it did what it had previously done, except this time the red light stayed on for even less time. The status next to the device in Bluetooth settings switched over to "connected" for less than a second before going back to "disconnected." I tried again, this time tapping the device's entry on the list, and got a message saying:
I've searched the internet high and low and seen a couple of people with similar problems, and followed all of the steps for solutions I've been able to find. Ive upgraded to the most recent version of iOS, I've disassociated all Bluetooth devices (including the controller, of course), I've reset my network settings, I've tried "charging" it by connecting it to my MacBook Pro - mid-2010, a classic that serves my needs even if it is a bit dated - although nothing seemed to happen when I did (no lights came on or anything), I even borrowed a connector from a neighbor that allowed me to connect the controller directly to the USB-C port. I've done a hard-reset using the small recessed button on the controller and a hard-reset on the iPad. I've tried all of these steps on my iPhone X as well, and I've done them all multiple times in every combination I can think of. The only result has been that the controller now connects for what seems like even less time now. I'd really like to use this controller if possible. Does anyone have any tips or solutions that might help? I'm willing to try pretty much anything. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]  | ||
| I cannot remember the name of a game I used to play on my phone. Can you help? Posted: 06 Feb 2021 12:22 AM PST I used to play a game on my phone (Android). This was anywhere from 2009 - 2014. You are not a character but are in the center of the screen. Red blocks are slowly approaching you. They are rolling (the way a square block would) toward you. If they enter a perimeter that is surrounding you, you lose. There is a hole in the center of the screen where different types of balls (weapons) appear: There is a freeze ball, which freezes the surrounding area of where it lands. it freezes the red blocks or makes them move more slowly. There is a red seeking ball. It seeks and destroys the nearest enemy block. There is an orange fire ball. It explodes on impact when you shoot it. There is a pink "love" block. When it lands a small heart appears over it and it attracts the blocks to so for a moment they stop approaching you. There is also a giant black ball. It is "metal" and rolls over the small blocks. There are different levels to the game and I cannot find it anywhere. If anyone remembers this game or the name of it I would be so grateful. i used to have a lot of fun playing it and would like to try it again. [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 05 Feb 2021 06:59 PM PST I'm not too fond of in-app purchases, I just like to play mobile games to pass time (spend enough on console gaming as it is, lol) so I'm looking for a hunting game that isn't "pay to play." A lot of hunting games I've played are fun for a little and then it gets to a point where the only way to progress without putting in hours and hours of gameplay is too purchase the upgrades/in game currency. Was stoked to run home brew on it but it's apparently much more tricky to do on actual apple hardware than it is on a Sony handheld! Please help, sorry to ask for spoon feeding. Here's my model number: MYLC2LL/A I'm running iOS 14.2 I'm wondering if its possible to run emus on my model/firmware and if not, if there's anything I can do to roll back updates?
