    Can't watch trailers from Siri search results?

    I have a 4th gen Apple TV on 14.4 tvOS and I just noticed that I can't watch trailers from search results a few days ago.

    To reproduce, I search for anything via Siri, say "Top Gun", click the movie in the search results. This brings me to the movie page with buying and renting options. If I scroll down to the trailer and click it, it just launches the Apple TV+ app for me and dumps me to the main page of that, in the Up Next tab.

    I have tried:

    • Restart
    • Reset
    • Power unplug for 1+ minute
    • Switching HDMI ports

    I'm also having a separate issue that the Apple TV won't wake my device but WILL turn it off so I'm just wondering if my unit is slowly breaking or is this software and other people have similar issues.

    Can somebody else try the trailer issue and see if they can watch a trailer from search results?

    X-Box Controllers are better supported than PS4 controllers in AppleTV ecosystem.

    I'd picked up PS4 controllers, not during which way to go. I choose poorly.

    Now using an X-Box controller because Steam Link (on AppleTV) still not working correctly with PS4 controllers.

    Generally AppleTV games which support controllers seem designed with X-Box buttons in mind.

    Steam Link is a this-is-still-broken outlier... most games are functional with both.

    This was probably obvious to everyone. Aside from how PS4 might feel-in-hands preferable to some folks, has anyone seen an ATV game that uses the touchpad on it, or anything unique to either X-Box or PS4, other than communicating buttons to user?

    Frozen Apple TV HD (except screen savers)

    Well, I'm stumped. I've got an Apple TV HD that is displaying some odd behavior but only when attached to an old Apple Cinema Display (DVI to HDMI, 1920 x 1200). It will show my Home Screen which will be frozen and refuse to move. I can trigger the screensaver with a double press of the menu button and the screensaver will run and then freeze frame when I hit the button to return home. It works fine when attached to my television and projector. Any idea how to fix this problem?

    I've tried: Home + Menu restart Changing the resolution (attached to another display) Menu + Volume down for 5 seconds

    Any ideas?

    UI Sounds Crackle and Pop in 14.5 Beta?

    ATV 4K here on TVOS 14.5 beta — I think everyone has experienced some UI navigation cracks and pops before but, with 14.5, *every* single button click or menu navigation is obviously distorted with various crackling and popping. Any content in any app plays back perfectly, though. Anyone else experienced this?

    Advice: Apple TV vs Chromecast?

    I currently have a 3rd gen Apple TV, and a Chromecast dongle on a smaller, bedroom tv. Since support is ending for Crave (Canada) and YouTube, it's time to replace it. I'm debating between the new Chromecast with remote and another Apple TV. I like browsing for shows onscreen rather than on a device. I don't have a 4K tv or need high def.

    Thoughts?

    Apple Fitness + buffers with Apple TV.

    I recently bought an Apple TV 2 weeks ago and have been using Apple fitness with no issues until earlier this week. The video will play but seems to buffer at random times with random videos and once I cancel the workout either through my tv or watch, it will show my overall stats at the end as if nothing happened. All my other apps work perfectly fine. I did a full reset and update for my tv, restarted my Apple TV, use it through the WiFi and Ethernet port. I have a new ISP which I got last Friday so my initial guess was maybe it wouldn't connect thru t mobile home internet until I tried it again through my old ISP and the fitness app buffered again. All my Apple products are updated to 14.4 as well.

    All of my channel apps(CNN, AMC, NBC, etc.) associated with my cable provider signed me out today. When I go to sign back in, the "link provider" button doesn't respond on any apps. Any idea what's going on? Anyone else experience this?
