- Mac randomly connects to external display
- Clicking sound on the left hinge on my M1 MBA. This happens when I try to reposition the angle of my screen after a few minutes. Is this normal? What should I do? (this is my first MacBook)

I have to wipe it every few months (another issue I've tried to resolve at apple multiple times) as it fills up super quick. This time I erased the laptop by holding 'cmd R' when turning it on and erased the Macintosh drive thingy (sorry not tech savvy at all). Anyway this time I must have done something wrong because when I've tried to set it up as a new Mac as I usually do... the whole operating system looks like it's from the dinosaur age (OS X Mavericks). I've created a account and it wouldn't let me sign into my Apple ID so I logged into to my profile / desktop and tried to update it from there and it does not have any updates required. Can't work out where to go or what to google but I'm well and truly stuck here and need it working again for Monday 😢 Any help would be massively appreciated 🙏🏼 Thank you [link] [comments]  | ||

They'll load when I clear my browser history and cookies, but that only solves the probably for a short while. Could this be an issue with adobe flash? | Posted: 28 Jan 2021 04:31 PM PST HELP twitch streamers who use a ps4, streamlabs, and Mac... So I'm currently rocking my PS4, and streaming through streamlabs via remote play off my Mac laptop. I've been struggling to capture the game audio/chat to my stream. I recently found out what I was doing wrong with the game audio, and corrected that. I noticed that the game chat doesn't come through the stream, and all I have is game audio. I'm on a budget when it comes to this streaming thing because I'm just trying to see if this is for me. I have Mac laptop from maybe 2012 so it's decent, not great. I'm not the most familiar with macs so a lot of it has been a challenge to learn. My current setup is my gaming monitor, the Mac, and turtle beach PS4 wired headset. I've seen a bunch of videos on YT of people capturing game audio/chat with just their headsets with no capture card. All the vids have one thing in common, they're not on Macs. It's all windows pc. My question is possible for me to capture the in game chat without a capture card on Mac? I've been looking high and low for days now. I just can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated. Is there any potential issues with using this cord (random amazon cord) with a samsung fast charger? Specs: Input: 100-240V ~ 50-60Hz 0.5 A Output: 9.0V - 1.67A or 5.0V - 2A Would only be charging when it's in sleep mode, would this "wear out" the battery quicker if I do this? | Posted: 28 Jan 2021 11:44 AM PST Hi, I have a 2019 MacBook Pro. My younger sister took the apple juice bot and spilt it all on my keyboard and touchpad. I cleaned up the top but it's inside my touchpad which is why it won't click or move. The keyboard is really sticky and the turn on button is hard to press. I cant move anything when I open it because it's on the Lock Screen and it shuts itself off after about 5 minutes which I believe is normal. I put it in rice and opened it the next day, it absorbed some water liquid but I knew it was still in there and I look and there are about 10 pieces of uncooked rice that went in through the back. The place where it says MacBook Pro under the screen has a crack but it's nothing major. How much would a rough estimate be at a repair shop and at Apple, I don't want to spend like $800. Smart LCD (with dynamic brightness) uses less power with a black screen. Just wondering if a dark colored background would save power on my MBP or would a white colored background save power.
