I purchased it on February 5th, 2019 in a MetroPCS store in the US for personal use. Out of no where, my phone overheated and it was the first time it ever happened. I thought maybe I used it for too long and I let it cool down. I kept getting the message almost every 15 minutes that I used it. It happens no matter what I do, but it happens especially when I'm charging it and using it or while I go on YouTube or TikTok. I don't know exactly what happened bc it happened out of no where, but I did previously connect it to a new set of fake AirPods the day before and I connected it to my JBL Go 2 speaker for the first time in a while that morning. In order to resolve this issue, I updated it. I cleared all my apps. I turned off background app refresh. I even reset my phone. The issue is still there and I noticed just recently that my battery drains and charges quickly. The battery health is 83%. Any info or suggestions would be helpful. Thank you. [link] [comments]  |

From what she says typing on it gives her shoulder problems and is trying to get both dictation and some kind of external keyboard to work. Are there YouTube videos I can point her too that might help out? I simply don't know what kind of iPad she has she might not even know herself I suspect it was a old Henry down from family in which case it might be a 2017 model of some sort does that makes sense or could it be a older? Does anyone have experience with what would be better typing or dictation software for a older person? I have around 900 songs, about 500 pictures and videos (which I downloaded from iCloud and stopped using iCloud for pictures after that). I cannot find those pictures and videos on my PC and I don't want to lose them, they were backed up on my PC before resetting it completely. Songs have been backed up externally but I also don't know if I will lose them if I start syncing music on this "new" PC system. I was playing around with it and it works for 5 Minutes and the screen goes back to Unresponsive. And the Home Button never came back i was using the on screenhomebutton. I restarted the whole on itunes and it was working for 10 Mintues and the Screen whent back to unresponsive. After i updated to the new ios my phone was acting weird and now its stopped working. It switches back to 1x fine so it's not broken, and i don't ever remember changing something to make it do this. However, when I and the person use to facetime, sometimes their iCloud email would pop up and not their number. So I saved it in my contacts under their name. So right now because their old number is out of service it shows that it'll come up green if I was to text them. If I remove their number from my phone and just leave their iCloud email there, it shows that I can text them as if it was a normal iPhone. | Recovering Media from IPhone 5C Posted: 28 Jan 2021 02:49 PM PST Hey guys, I know that I'm like 5 years too late for this but maybe someone here can tell me if this is at all possible. Back in 2016, I was traveling Thailand and used mainly an iPhone 5C as well as an HTC one M8 for pictures and videos while I was travelling (Spent a month in Thailand, a month in Japan and 6months in Korea). I would love to be able to recover the files on both that iPhone and the HTC. Sadly, both devices are currently broken. I had backed up the HTC to my laptop at the time, but that got stolen so I currently have zero pictures from my travels way back when. The reason I am positing in the iPhone page is cause I actually did a Thai Boxing match one day there. It was recorded on another tourists iPhone, then it was "Airdropped" to my iPhone (not an iPhone guy usually so I had no idea that was even possible). I posted the first round (link below) to my Instagram page so at the very least I have that, but I would looooove to have the rest of the match. (On top of the Hundreds and hundreds of pictures I had on there). The iPhone hasn't turned on in a long time, and currently does not charge. Is there any way for me to get these files back? | Facetime call keeps failing in the middle of the night? Posted: 28 Jan 2021 09:41 AM PST Hello, my boyfriend and I are long distance and enjoy falling asleep and waking up on Facetime together. As of recently (the past three days or so) the Facetime call has been failing early in the morning while we're both asleep. It doesn't matter how long we're on for - last night it failed at 5:00AM with being on for 2 hours, the night before at 7:00AM with being on for 10 hours, and the first night at 6:00AM with being on for 6 hours. It works as expected in the US, but when I went to Mexico- no luck. It just had the No Service symbol. My wife's phone on the same plan worked perfectly with LTE. (both good in Canada and Mexico as well as having international plans) I made sure data roaming was on, etc. All of my settings appeared to match my wife's. | Problem with SIM card or phone? Posted: 28 Jan 2021 07:18 AM PST My iPhone 6 started saying no service recently, I was unable to make and receive calls, receive messages, and use mobile data. I researched what the issue could be and I tried every solution that there was. I reset my network settings, reset my phone, took out the SIM card and cleaned it 5 times, turned airplane mode on and off again, none of them worked. I tried using one of my friend's SIM card in my phone and it still said no service, I also used my SIM card in my friend's phone and it was working, so I concluded that the problem was with my phone. So, I bought a new phone (iPhone 11) and put my SIM card in but for some reason it still says no service. I'm very confused about this because why would the SIM work in one different phone but not the other? I had transferred the data from my iPhone 6 to the iPhone 11, so could the problem be anything to do with that? I've bought a new SIM card to try on my new phone and I'm really hoping it works, if it doesn't I don't know what to do. I don't know what the problem is. Please help... [link] [comments]  |
