iPad pro 11 2020 Logitech folio trackpad Posted: 20 Nov 2020 02:40 AM PST Uncle Recently bought the folio case for his iPad Pro 2020. But the trackpad isn't working at all. He also installed the app needed, still nothing. Any idea why this issue happened? [link] [comments]
Best free Duet Display alternative? Posted: 19 Nov 2020 07:59 PM PST Looking for a free alternative. My priorities are no lag and 60fps, if possible. Thanks! EDIT: Just to clarify some things, I've tried XDisplay and Spacedesk, and neither of them good get even in the same ballpark of good performance. Maybe I'm using the wrong settings. I'm also on PC [link] [comments]
M1 or A14X for potential new iPad Pros? Posted: 19 Nov 2020 11:31 PM PST It seems inevitable at this point that Apple will be releasing new iPad Pros within the next 6 months. The Apple Silicon Macs have got me thinking though. Since Apple will most likely use the same or very similar chip as the M1 on the iPad Pro, will Apple call it the A14X or the M1? Calling it the M1 means Apple can market the iPad as having the same power at the Macs but at the same time risk cannibalizing sales. Calling it the A14X will keep the nomenclature consistent and also show product differentiation. Something that was running in my head so I thought it would be interesting to hear the thoughts of this community. [link] [comments]
How does Apple verify student discount online? Posted: 20 Nov 2020 01:23 AM PST So I'm going to order an iPad Air with a student discount online. I wonder, how does they check if I'm a student or not? Will they ask me to send my student ID? As far as I know, they don't use UNIDAYS. [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Nov 2020 07:23 PM PST I'm thinking of getting my first iPad. According to my academic needs, Ipad 8th generation is perfect fit for me. Only drawback I can see is its non-laminated screen. How bad of an experience does non-laminated screen give? Is it that bad? How is the experience of taking notes on it? [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Nov 2020 07:58 PM PST I use an Apple Pencil(1st gen). It has twice slipped from my hand and fallen to the ground in the last two to three weeks. Each time, the tip got a bit deformed. When it fell the first time, I could use the pencil only from a particular side, because only one side/surface of the tip wad working. I would have to hold the pencil stiff while writing so that it doesn't even rotate slightly because that would cause it to stop writing. I then replaced it with the spare tip given in the box. It fell again. This time, the tip doesn't work at all, not at any of the angles or from any of the sides that I tried. So, I have gone back to the previous tip which functions sub optimally. My doubt is : how do I avoid these falls and damages in the future? I have slight tremor, so things do fall from my hands(and hence, my cell phones always have both a back cover and a tempered glass). I don't think using a pencil case would work, would it? What should I do? TLDR: My Apple pencil falls down frequently damaging the tips. Any advice? [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Nov 2020 11:23 PM PST I know this question sounds crazy cause there would basically be 3 different layer. Well, I just purchased an iPad 8 generation and would love to have both protection layer as well as the matte finish so that it'll go easy on my eyes. Has anyone ever done this?
