    [Discussion] Checkra1n for iOS 14.2 works just great!

    Yeah, I've just installed all my tweaks that I use in iOS 13.7 and so far I have encountered no problems, the update went smooth (directly updating through iTunes), then I ran the checkra1n app in Mojave and installed my tweaks. I don't have many but all of them are working, and obviously TouchID too. Currently rocking an iPhone 7 on iOS 14.2.

    I'm using:

    - Mikoto

    - Untrusted Hosts Blocker + LetMeBlock

    - WiFiCarrier+

    - Instagram++

    - GoodWiFi

    - DoubleCut

    - Liberty Lite

    [Tutorial] How To Fix Checkra1n 0.12.0 App Not Showing or Tweaks Not Applying

    This has been a crazy problem today where many people have has trouble jail breaking with Checkra1n 0.12.0. However, there is a solution to both of these problems, and for me, I got both of them, so I might be able to help. Also, thanks to the r/Jailbreak discord that taught me these tricks that I hope to share with you.

    Checkra1n App Not Appearing

    So, this problem's solution is somewhat weird. I'm 99% sure that what I'm about to tell you is not what you expected. Switch to Odysseyra1n. Even then you won't get the app until you fix the tweaks not applying, but it will be Checkra1n and you can forget all about Odysseyra1n. Odysseyra1n installs Sileo, an alternative tweak manager similar to Cydia, onto your device, and that way you'll be able to run some commands to make it so Checkra1n appears, and tweaks can be applied. (If you prefer Cydia, later on you will be able to get it)

    1. Run checkra1n like normal if you haven't already, no safe mode (you can just rejailbreak if you did that), just normal checkra1n.

    2. Follow the steps below for your operating system, then continue to step 3.

    macOS

    • Open Terminal and download Homebrew if you haven't already by running: /bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install.sh)"
    • Then install a specific package with it by runnning: brew install usbmuxd

    Linux

    Download iProxy by running: sudo apt install libusbmuxd-tools

    Back to Both

    3. Get Odysseyra1n by running (with your iPhone/iPad plugged in): /bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/coolstar/Odyssey-bootstrap/master/procursus-deploy-linux-macos.sh)"

    4. Rejailbreak normally with checkra1n.

    5. You should see Sileo on your home screen! Now just move on to the next section.

    Tweaks Not Applying

    Now that you have Cydia or Sileo installed, you are ready to install tweaks. Which at the moment, might now work. You might have them, but have nothing in Settings or on your home screen. This is a pretty simple thing to fix.

    1. Open your package manage Cydia or Sileo and download NewTerm. Yes, it's a tweak, but it's also an app so you should see it on your home screen.

    2. Open NewTerm and run sudo /etc/rc.d/libhooker && sudo ldrestart. You're phone should restart right away.

    3. I forgot whether or not you have to rejailbreak at this point, but there's no pain in doing it anyway, especially if Sileo, Cydia and/or NewTerm is crashing.

    4. Tweak your phone to your heart's content!

    How do I get Cydia?

    If you want Cydia back open checkra1n on your phone like you normally would and install Cydia.

    i'm thinking more along the lines of those android lock screen apps that just draw over the screen until you unlock them. i want to jb my iphone x on 14.1. ik that for anyone who knows what they're doing can probably just restart the phone and get in but i'm really just wanting to protect it from snooping. yes ik i'll lose face id but i wear a mask for half the day anyway and it sorta makes it pointless. i don't really use apple pay either on my phone(quick question will it mess up apple pay on my watch?)

    The auto customisation of the App Library is annoying as I can not find apps easily and the folders are constantly moving. Is there a tweak that enables you to create new folders and re-arrange them?

    i was wondering if there was anyway to prevent boot-loop. i'm running ios 14.0.1 and i managed to jailbreak an iphone 7 through a checkra1n patch. like is there any tweak or way to go into safe mode when boot-loop happens or right before so i can remove the tweak and boot my phone back up without loosing my jailbreak? i'm tired of having to jailbreak again and again whenever a tweak doesn't work. and on top of it too not all tweaks say compatible for my ios version even though if you look online it says otherwise, so it's really just a hit or miss with ios 14. or if you guys don't know anyway to prevent or stop boot loop it would also be cool if you guys knew a workaround so i didn't have to jailbreak all over again.

    I started out jailbroken on iOS 12.4 with checkra1n and everything ran smoothly. Immediately after updating to 13.5 and jailbreaking my battery life became terrible and would drain very quickly. I was curious to know if updating to iOS 14.2 would be any better for my battery life. Thank you!

    [Help] Apps randomly freeze

    I use checkra1n jailbreak on ios 13.7, about a year ago when im playing codm i usually use multitask to check discord and stuff, but sometimes when i bring out discord on multitask, it freezes and wont go away, i kind of fixed this problem by just not touching anything when its frozen, because if i do my device usually resprings, and gets stuck, but the main problem is randomly some apps stop working, like safari, also had it with tiktok but mainly settings app, and it happens out of the blue. when this happens the ONLY way to fix it is restart, and if i do that i lose my jailbreak, so i try respringing but everytime i respring it just gets stuck and eventually will just restart the device itself and i lost my jailbreak, i would like to know if there is any way to prevent this or fix it without respringing/restarting? (i am just wondering because its kind of annoying to have to keep rejailbreaking) i use ipad 6th generation and 13.7 as stated above I have tweaks i dont really have much tweaks expect some codm mods and sometimes i have appstore++ but i usually uninstall when i dont need it. thanks

    Edit: I when an app is frozen ( right now settings) i tried to install workffs tweak and when i click download, the queue pops up and sileo just freezes.
