    I find it interesting that Apple seems to not follow its own tvOS UI standards with its TV app - the description of the show/movie isn't shown in the top drop down, but in another menu at the bottom. On that note, pressing menu while watching a video doesn't close the video like other video apps, it brings up the description and some options.

    Anyone else find this a little odd?

    Play/Pause button just stopped working

    I can only assume this is a 14.0.2 issue as it has only started happening today.

    Play/Pause won't work on most apps. Apple TV+ shows, Netflix, Prime. Play and pause isn't working. I can start a show by tapping the touch pad, but I can't then pause it. Curiously, it works in Apple Music and Podcasts, as well as Plex oddly.

    I've also tried the remote app on my iPhone and the Play/Pause button isn't registering there either.

    Anyone else experiencing or experienced this in the past?

    Apple TV Settings on LG C9 OLED

    So, I've been doing my reading on this subreddit and I see that it's recommended by most to set the Apple TV to 4K sdr, match content range and frame rate, and hdmi output and chroma has different settings suggested. Anything else I'm missing? What is. Your LG picture setting? Thanks!

    Steam Link app: Recording the screen

    Yesterday I opened Steam Link on my Apple TV again and when I double pressed the select button on my Xbox Controller it says it can do screen capture and that the recording can be shared via AirDrop afterwards. However, I don't know where to find that recording now. Any guess? Or is it on the host PC?

    Airplay Not Sustaining Connection

    I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and an AppleTV 4K, both updated to the latest software. Since about the release of ios14, whenever i airplay a YouTube video from the iPhone to the Apple TV, the video will play fine until the phone screen turns off, at which point the video will stop entirely. Any idea what caused this sudden change? I haven't tested on other devices but i never had this problem until very recently. Any input is greatly appreciated.

    Apple TV HD completely unresponsive (No Remote)

    Just moved and went to hookup ATV and got nothing. Same wifi. We have the remote app not the siri remote but it won't even power on. Hooked it up to iTunes and it doesn't even show up to restore back to factory settings. HELP

    Is it possible to use a HDD on the VLC Apple TV 32GB App

    I am about to buy myself an Apple TV 32GB newest model out there, is it possible to run as I have ripped some of my Japanese CD's music to my HDD to play them on my Apple TV with a 1TB HDD that I have? As I would love to be able to also play my music from VLC or anything else like home movies too? So TL;DR Can you use VLC App on Apple TV and run a HDD and play movies/music from it?

    Is it possible to "rewind" Live streams in the Youtube app?

    Hi there,

    Sorry if this isn't the right place to post. I'm new to the Apple TV family, and I have an issue with the Youtube app. With my old Roku, you could rewind live streams a few hours behind. My wife likes to watch a ton of live streams from eSports leagues, and I can't find a way to rewind to the beginning or at least back a bit for live streams within the Youtube app.

    ATV Remote Only without HDMI-CEC?

    I got very used to using one remote for everything when I got my first Harmony remote. Then tvOS13 happened and my Harmony was unable to sleep my ATV4k. I use the ATV nearly all the time, so using HDMI-CEC and waking/sleeping the ATV with siri remote is awesome.

    I was recently gifted a new-to-me older TV and receiver, which I appreciate very much. However, neither feature HDMI-CEC. Knowing the Harmony remote or Harmony hub won't work with the ATV, what other options do I have aside from buying a new TV & AVR?

    (The only option I can think of is waking the ATV using a homebridge plugin and then using some smart IR blaster like a Broadlink RM-mini to tell the TV & receiver to turn on, but that's getting a bit complicated.)

    Infuse pcm with Marantz sr6014?

    I have been reading through a lot of forums trying to find the answer to this but it is rather specific.

    I know that the ATV will passthrough Dolby Truehd and DTS as lossless pcm but my receiver has 2 options for multichannel in during playback. I can either select Multichannel in, or Multichannel in +Dsurround. Does anybody know which is the right one?

    TV+ low resolution

    Hey y'all. I am trying for the last hour to figure out why on earth TV+ streams in low resolution on my 4K monitor. I am using my gaming laptop connected on my external 4K monitor. My internet tops currently at around 700 Mbps and I'm wired connected with Ethernet. Please, can someone help me? It's sad that I can't enjoy the full resolution show. I think it's not even FHD what I get!

    PS. Yes I tried edge and yes I tried it with PlayReady flag enabled. I'm on Windows 10.

    I need your help with a second gen Apple TV

    I found a second GEN Apple TV today, without the plug. All the cords I have tried have not worked. The unit/light will not come on. When I plug the Apple TV up to my computer with A USB, the light does come on. Do you guys think there is something wrong with it, or I'm just unlucky in finding a correct plug with the correct length?

    So I'm in a unique situation. I'm living in Georgia, but my parents live in VA. They subscribe to Verizon FiOs cable and internet. They've been letting me use their TV Everywhere login, so I have access to their channels. I've used the Channels app to aggregate the FiOs channels with my local channels (via Locast). However, my parents also subscribe to Starz and Showtime; because these are premium channels, they don't work with the Channels app. I'd really like to find a way to put the live feeds from these apps into a guide format so I can access them via Apple TV. These feeds would obviously also be accessed using the TV Everywhere credentials. Any thoughts on a solution?

    What specs does it take to be AirPod and Beats compatible to pair with ATV update?

    I just updated my 4K ATV and got a summary of new features when it restarted. One was that I could now pair a couple of AirPod and Beats compatible headphones to the TV.

    I tried to pair my Boise 35 and got an error.

    What does it take to be compatible?
