    My AppleTV 4K remote just died

    The remote is still able to hard boot the AppleTV and go into pairing mode, but won't connect even when held closely and none of the buttons work. Any ideas what could be happening here?

    Back to the Future Trilogy 4K Upgrade?

    Hi all,

    I just wanted to know if some people haven't had their Back to the Future trilogy Apple TV copies upgraded to the 4K version yet?

    Here in Ireland they're all still showing as HD and in the store itself, they don't show 4K either. I've seen online that many people in other regions have had them for weeks supposedly, even in the likes of the Netherlands apparently?

    Anyone else still missing them?

    Can’t control volume

    Just upgraded my Apple TV gen 4 for the 4K version. no matter what I try it won't control the TVs volume. My gen 4 had no problems, Ive confirmed the TVs remote and the Apple TV remote are both shooting IR, iv manually learned the remote 4 times and my cec settings are still on and unchanged I can turn the tv off and on with Apple remote. help

    Any way to stop AppleTV blacking out?

    Mine's a 2016/17 model. So it just started doing this thing where the screen blacks out for 1-2 seconds, then video picks up where it left off.

    Restarting - instead of putting it to sleep and turning it back on - solves it for a day or two, then it's happening again.

    Any ideas why it does this, and how to fix?

    Cant airplay from my iPhone 11 to my Apple TV gen 2

    Having issues redeeming Disney 4k Digital Code (Hocus Pocus 4k Bluray). The package says I can redeem it on iTunes, but I receive an error. Using redeemdigitalmovie.com does not give me an iTunes option, only MA, Vudu, Google Play.

    Am I doing something wrong? I'd rather have this movie redeemed on my iTunes account, not Movies Anywhere.

    Disney Movies 4K if you redeemed a MA code as well.

    I owned pretty much the entire Disney and Marvel collection on HD streaming. All of those eligible titles should be upgraded to 4K automatically.

    I also received some 4K disc/codes as gifts over the years and redeemed those codes on Movies Anywhere to allow me to watch the 4k version streamed on other services.

    Now, all of the movies where I redeemed a 4K code on MA are remaining as HD in my iTunes library. Has anyone else noticed this?

    I need to get a new TV but all new Smart TVs have either Alexa, Roku, or Android as options. I like my current Apple TV hardware (not 4K unfortunately) so are there any options that have tvOS built-in, or will I just have to buy a separate Apple TV 4K device (or switch to Alexa?? )?

    Samsung 32in with Apple TV?

    Can someone recommend a samsung model with 32in with built in apple tv? I am looking for a tv for the guest room and I have no idea how to find the right one. Doesn't need to be super fancy just the built in apple airplay thing would be great Thanks so much

    This thing still surprises me after several years! - I always use my IPad with a VPN to access Geo Restricted Content - I always presumed for Airplay to work both devices had to be on the same network - Well how foolish am I! I am now watching Geo Restricted Content on my BIG TV!

    Chuffed and wish I found this out earlier.

    I don't know why I never attempted to try this!

    I use a VPN to view Geo Restricted content (Football) here in the UK. And watching it today I just hit the little blue Airplay symbol (which has always been there!) and what do you know it works fine even though my Ipad is on a different Network to my Apple TV.

    This is probably common knowledge to 99% of people on here! Either way I love how this beast keeps surprising me!

    Introduced a Bravia 900H into my Apple Ecosystem

    I will fully admit right here and now that I am an Apple fan boy. We have an Apple Desktop in the house, a laptop, a HomePod, my wife and I use iPhones, my kids have iPads -- it's an Apple haven.

    I recently bought a new TV - Sony Bravia 900H 65", so naturally I grabbed an AppleTV to go with it. We have Apple TV's on our other two sets as well around the house and I love it.

    But I decided to give the built-in AndroidTV a go on the Sony and I have to say, I'm impressed. It's very fast, I have access to the same apps, and with AppleTV now having their app on the Bravia so I can access my iTunes purchases etc I have to say -- it's hard to justify the $280CAD on the AppleTV, even for a fan boy like me.

    So why keep the AppleTV? A lot of arguments I read online are that smart tv's are slow and buggy, but I haven't experienced that on the 900H at all. Quite the opposite.

    I do take privacy fairly seriously, so there's that aspect of it. And I suppose with no Apple TV we may not be able to access photos and music as readily - but still.

    I love my AppleTV, but I can't shake the feeling I'm spending $280 for another $12 worth of features. Sell me on it r/AppleTV!

    Hi everybody I'm just wondering if it's just me or not. When I open Apple Music on Apple TV my Listen Now page is always stuck, I mean it is showing the same content of the day before. I have to force quit the app and once reopened everything is up to date. I guess it's a bug or what?
