- I tried to update my iPhone SE (2020) to the latest 14.0.1 update and now I can't use my phone.

Posted: 24 Sep 2020 03:21 PM PDT Model: iPhone X, 64Gb Purchased outside the US, in Central America I started taking pictures in a pool (yes inside the water), as I thought it was possible, although it was, 10 minutes later the iphone died, at the tech store they told me the motherboard is fried and so is the screen. I got another iPhone; ao some guy wants to buy it (dead phone )for scrap parts/ spare parts and whatnot, whatever can be used. Here's my question, can that dead iPhone's memory storage be swapped with another phone with the same model so the contents can be accessed? Why? Because I got nudes from my GF, her face is not shown but this guy kinda knows me, so he can connect the dots. So is there a way that he can save some files from that phone? Not for myself but to protect my GF, I dont want anything from that phone I got that phone on Find My iPhone, I can erase it or report it as lost, but is that enough to erase or avoid access to my photos (dead phone) or is there any way a savvy guy can access those? I can tell because my messages won't deliver and calls go straight to voicemail. But yesterday, from the number that has me blocked, I received a notification that they had removed a reaction from a text message. Did they have to unblock me for me to receive that notification? | Need assistance uploading photos to icloud Posted: 24 Sep 2020 08:41 AM PDT First off, I am doing this to save my photos before doing a clean reset of my phone. I've tried to back my photos up to my computer, and even though I have a literal terabyte of free space on my pc, I encounter "an unknown error has occured: 0x8E0000000068" anytime I try to save my I phone's data to my computer. I figured it was simply an error with my lightning port, so I forked over $0.99 for 50 GB of icloud storage. I thought all was going well, but I have only been able to backup 2.5 GB of photos, which were already in the icloud before upgrading my storage. My phone is plugged in and has a stable wifi connection so it should be backing up data to the cloud, but it isn't at all. Over 16 hours have passed and I've still only uploaded 0.1 mb worth of photos. I've tried using different internet connections and it still hasn't changed. Does anyone have any solutions that don't involve me parting with my photos? As additional info: I have an iPhone 8, got it on release, and have a whopping 27.7 gigabytes being used for the "other" category. I am on the second to latest ios version. As I've failed my battle to tame this mysterious "other" beast, I'm wanting to perform a clean reset of my phone while retaining photos, messages, and contacts. [link] [comments]  |

I may need to refer to them or download screenshots in the future, but I don't want to keep them on device. Google voice is not available in my country.
