    I've got to share this.

    I had a powerful laptop on the table next to me remoting in to a Linux server doing some command line work. But at some point I needed to type something into a terminal that I could copy paste from a web page I had open on my iPad.

    So I ssh'd to the same remote server on my iPad to do that rather than getting the text to my laptop. Even after I had done that copy paste dance I just kept working on the iPad not even thinking about moving back to the laptop.

    And then before I knew it I realized that I had done several hours of advanced terminal work with configuration and trouble shooting on a remote server from my iPad.

    And it worked really well. It wasn't just a stop gap solution that I could use on a train.

    My terminal software that I used was blink and it is super awesome. If you need a terminal that is the software you should get. Be adviced, you gotta love the command line. There is no GUI at all. But if you are a linux guy you will love it.

    Is it possible to use an iPad to draw on PC?

    I would like to start drawing pixel art with a software called Aseprite on a Windows PC. We thought about getting a normal iPad and I was wondering if I could connect it to our PC and start using it like a mouse. Would this somehow work?

    Questions about iPad Air 4

    Hi all! I'm new to the whole process of being excited about a new apple launch and counting down its days. With the upcoming release of the new iPad air, are these new devices typically launched both in-store AND online at the same time? Is there usually a delay in availability in brick and mortar? Do these devices usually sell out very quickly? Does apple do the student pricing discount in-store as well as online?

    I know there is probably going to be some variability in this year's launch due to COVID-19, was just wondering how these things usually go so I can get an idea of what to expect.

    Wired Game Controllers for iPad?

    This is really a 2 part question;

    Firstly, would a male lightning to male micro USB cable (or USB-A female - Lightning male) enable a controller to be used with an iPad?

    And if not, are there any good wired controllers for iPad/iPhone?

    And just to cover it before it's mentioned, I know you can use Bluetooth to connect a DualShock 4, but the Bluetooth 4.2 tech still has pretty noticeable input lag. Ideally I'd have an iPad with BT 5 as I've tried it with my iPhone 11 and it works really well, but I can't justify buying a new iPad just for that and the iPhone is a bit of a small screen.

    Hi, I'm an art student that is looking to get an iPad Pro 11 for mostly art related things. Im tempted to use the education store discount that's going on right now, but I'm wondering if I'm able to find an even better deal if I wait until November to make a purchase. Considering that it's still a very new device, Do the iPad pros get any significant price drops around that time?

    YouTube menu disappearing

    Since around a month ago, the menu at the bottom of YouTube disappears when I open a video. It makes it hard to browse while watching a video. Anyone else have this problem?

    Where is mouse support for games?

    iPad OS 14 has been out for a bit now and i have yet to see any game at all that implements mouse support. I have been googeling its every couple days with no results and even major Apple Arcade game that have been updated recently such as hot lava and Oceanhorn have not implemented it. Does anyone know a single game that uses this feature? Or maybe a reason why it is not being used?

    iCloud sync between iPhone and iPad wallet

    Is it possible to sync my iPhone and iPad wallets? I have all my credit cards in my iPhone and the sync is activated in iCloud, but since there's no dedicated app on iPad it's not syncing.

    First huge import taxes then huge profit margins because there ain't many. Then we have the import delay, I need the new iPad 8 for school and they ain't getting it till end of October. And the only reason I am not getting a Air instead is the first sentence.

    Give me a apple store or look into doing what Samsung did. If both products are the same price when listed in USD then Samsung is cheaper here, by a lot. God I want an iPad but it feels like I am being fucked just for getting one.

    Is there a recommended app for .m file to pdf conversion for ipad?

    So right now I have .m files from MATLAB that I would like to put into Notability to mark up, but I am not able to directly import .m files into Notability on my ipad pro.

    As a workaround I have been copying and pasting my .m MATLAB code into word, and then converting my word file into a pdf which I can then import to notability.

    I have been doing this often which can be slightly tedious, so I was wondering if there any recommended app that can directly go from .m file to pdf?

    Use iPad & Magic Keyboard as a console for desktops?

    I was wondering if anyone here knows of an iPad accessory that would allow me to use my iPad and Magic Keyboard as a console for desktops. The idea being that I could, for example, plug my iPad into a server via HDMI and USB and then interact with the server like I typically would with a display and keyboard. I'm doing a lot of work with cryptocurrency mining rigs for a project and bounce between them a lot for troubleshooting, so being able to easily take my display and keyboard with me in iPad form from rig to rig would be fantastic.

    I'm planning to get the new ipad 8 for reading and note taking. And I really kinda feel it's too much to pay extra 100$ - third of the ipad price- to get the pencil.

    I don't need pressure sensitivity anymore, I'm not an artist, but I want a durable pencil for note taking. If anyone tried any Pencil please tell me how do you find it? And when did you got it?

    Why does the iPad mini cost more than the iPad 8th gen?

    It has a smaller screen, same performance, and smaller body. THe only thing I can think of that is better is the laminated screen, and the portability, but it should cost more to make a bigger device right?
