Anyone else really loving the series “Long Way Up”? Posted: 24 Sep 2020 10:03 PM PDT Ewan McGregor and his mate Charley Boorman look like a way fucking chill and down to earth mates. Definitely a series worth watching if you're into shows like Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown (RIP fucker... sigh). Apple TV / CEC / Siri / Different sources Posted: 25 Sep 2020 02:20 AM PDT Hello, I have an LG OLED CX with CEC (SimpLink) activated. The TV has eARC and is connected to a Bose Soundbar 700 (CEC is set to „Enabled"). My Apple TV is also connected to the TV (CEC is activated), also my PlayStation 4 has activated CEC. Problem: When I am on my PlayStation (or any other source instead of AppleTV) and tell Siri to turn off my AppleTV, my TV itself is also turning off. It is completely ignoring that I am on a different source and do not want to turn off the TV. How can I solve this problem? It is completely annoying because my AppleTV has to be on every time. Why does Apple TV+ suck so much? Posted: 25 Sep 2020 04:53 AM PDT Currently trying to stream The Morning Show on a Windows 10 desktop. Chrome = black screen Edge = I got through the first episode with stuttering and lag - and then now the home screen won't open the Show page or start the next episode. Endless spinning wheel. [appleTV 4K and HD] Posted: 24 Sep 2020 12:46 PM PDT So within the last few months I upgraded from the two Version 3s I had to an HD and 4K. I've been very happy with both. On YouTube: But on the AppleTV 3, while on the "Recommended" screen, you could hold down the menu button on a video and it was a bit of a shortcut to dismiss the video (not interested) or add it to "watch later". I do not see a way to do that ok the 4K or HD interface... Am I missing it somewhere? Are there other shortcuts or tricks like this that I'm missing? LG SN7R Soundbar + AppleTV 4k = No Atmos Posted: 24 Sep 2020 06:06 PM PDT I need help guys. I've seen the mixed, but mostly bad, reviews of this soundbar from Costco. I figured most people writing reviews on their website were probably just not setting it up properly. Yet, here I am. I have my AppleTV 4k connected directly to the soundbar. Settings show Immersive Audio/Atmos Available. Yet the soundbar never kicks in to Atmos. In fact, it will only output PCM. Oddly, I do get Atmos through the ARC connection using the built in apps on my LG B8 TV. I know this is not the best quality I can get since it's coming through the old ARC standard and not eARC. I even get "Dolby Audio" (not Atmos) out of the AppleTV when connected through the TV instead of directly to the soundbar. Airplay downloaded movies from Disney+, Amazon, Netflix? Posted: 24 Sep 2020 12:23 PM PDT I just bought an Apple TV, largely so that I could Airplay content I download from the Disney+, Amazon, and Netflix apps on my phone and IPad. The internet at the house is terrible, so I was hoping to download remotely then watch on bigger screen when I get home. I keep getting an error message when I go to watch/airplay the content though.
