Is it just me or is it a major hassle to rearrange apps, particularly while using widgets? Posted: 25 Sep 2020 05:00 AM PDT I find it pretty difficult to time the movement of dragging apps across pages which inevitably throws the order off pushing an app onto the next screen inadvertently and on and on. Fixing that is a hassle. I wish this was addressed with iOS14 but it's actually worse now with widgets - pushing entire 4, 8, or 16 blocks of apps off the right screen. [link] [comments]

I’d love to see Apple improve the Look Up function Posted: 24 Sep 2020 06:51 PM PDT I'm talking about when you highlight a word and press Look Up. They have improved it greatly over the years but it could be even better. Things I would like to see added:
I'm sure there are other ways to improve the Look Up function but these are the ones that come to my mind. Do you guys have any other ways you'd like to see the feature improve? [link] [comments]

Dare I say... back tap is too sensitive? Posted: 24 Sep 2020 07:59 PM PDT I had screenshot in two and it kept screenshot-ing at all times, so I set it to three and it still goes off by itself sometimes, just putting it down and bam, screenshot. Maybe they'll tweak it some more but I don't think so. [link] [comments]
[Opinion] iOS14 has opened the doors to customization hell and. Posted: 25 Sep 2020 07:24 AM PDT I am aware that taste is something subjective and people may and can have different opinions. I just have to say that this increase in customization had led to some atrocities in homescreen aesthetics and overall look. The homescreen of iOS in my eyes was amazing with its simplicity, cleanliness, modern look and being very "tight". Now we get the option to customize with custom widgets and icon packs it's starting to look more and more like those ugly ass Android homescreens and Huawei icons. Going on r/iOSsetups used to make me feel calm and relaxed by seeing those neat and tidy homescreens. Now it looks like an acid trip is going on over there. [link] [comments]
Widgets are not gaining enough attention. Posted: 25 Sep 2020 03:07 AM PDT There is an endless amount of possibilities with the new widget scheme. The elements put into this feature are considerably great, and it's the first time that iOS steps out of the standard layout comfort zone. Apple is redefining the game with iOS 14, it's the largest update since iOS 7 and I guess most of the users are satisfied with the new changes. I don't get why most of the apps don't have widgets by now.. I mean, developers already have the tools and they were further given the beta software back in June. And right now, I only have 2 apps that support home screen widgets. Are 3 months not enough? There is a theory that suggests that the privacy features Apple is implementing with iOS 14 is somehow pissing off some developers, so they're kind of answering back by not responding to the user base that appreciates widgets. A company like Facebook can easily ignore the advancements iOS is going through just because Apple is limiting their access to the user data, this way they can trick a minority of the users to switch to android devices so that they can further track their data. It might start off with widgets and grow into diminishing the iOS app in favor of the android app. What are your opinions? And do you think widgets are somehow neglected? [link] [comments]

Spotlight search on iPhone not searching within 3rd party apps Posted: 25 Sep 2020 05:07 AM PDT Hi. Has anyone been able to get Spotlight search to search within 3rd party apps? I checked in settings for WhatsApp for example and search content is on so I assume it should find my messages from within spotlight search. Can anyone confirm if it's working for them? Notification that Apple Watch/Airpods are fully charged Posted: 25 Sep 2020 12:23 AM PDT I think that Apple is thinking of implementing in an integrated way in the future, but I wanted to express my wish that Apple create a notification system that not only informs (as it does now) that the Airpods have low battery, but also I would like to be informed when the battery is fully charged. The same should happen with the other accessories such as the Apple Watch. What do you think? [link] [comments]
