Apple Watch series 4 not charging above 80% Posted: 24 Apr 2019 06:49 AM PDT So all was well & good this morning and when I noticed my Apple Watch battery was low, I plopped it on the charger and it started charging as usual. However, it charged till 80% and stopped. I've tried restarting it, hard resetting it, turning it off and let the charger power it back on but it doesn't help. The battery briefly fell to 79% while using it and placing it on the charger got it back up to 80% and it stopped there again. What do I do? [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 Apr 2019 12:56 AM PDT I find it really helpful when I am on a run with my Series 2 and I need to look at the map . I do this since I don't carry my phone with me. How many of you do this? [link] [comments]

Posted: 24 Apr 2019 06:48 AM PDT Is anyone else having charging issues with their Series 4 on 5.2? My watch will show that it's charging, but it's battery level does not increase. I've tried multiple chargers and multiple outlets. If I restart my watch it will charge the first time I put it on a charger but not any other time after the first. It's odd. [link] [comments]
Hard abuse with the Series 3 Apple Watch Posted: 23 Apr 2019 06:49 PM PDT I'm quite impressed with the toughness of the Apple Watch. I wanted to share my experience in hopes that someone with similar hobbies and interests may not be so hesitant to wear the watch all day, regardless of the activity. I'm a heavy equipment mechanic, working 50-55 hrs a week. The only time I take my watch off is when I cannot fit my hand into a tight space with the watch on (my co-workers know it's a bad situation when my watch comes off ha). At work I frequently get oil on the watch, use the buttons with oily and greasy gloves, scrape the screen and sides on metal/rusted surfaces, and accidentally wedge the watch against stuff. Many, many times I've pulled my hand out of a tight spot and thought I certainly had cracked the screen, but nope. The screen does have numerous scratches on it, some are very deep from scraping the face again a sandy rusted surface. The aluminum body is also scraped, but not dented. I've throw sparks from cutting steel at the glass, got spray paint overspray on the glass (it did not stick), and welded with no gloves on while wearing it. I also wash my hands 4 or 5 times a day and never use the water feature. If my watch is oily, I'll take the watch off in the sink and use thick mechanic soap on the watch, then rinse it off with water. The speaker is quieter than when it was new, but I don't really care. I rarely use Siri on my watch because it never seems to work correctly and I get frustrated so I don't really use the speaker. When I'm not at work I'm usually outside running, walking, mountain biking, doing 4x4 trails in my 4runner, camping, hiking, etc. My point, the watch is constantly getting sweat, dirt, sand, dust, and mud on it outside of work. I've reached into the fire to grab a burning log more times than I can count and it hasn't effected the band or screen. I always leave it on when I shower so I can clean it. I'll aim some water from the shower head right into the microphone port to try and clean out the dirt (it doesn't work very well). I love this watch. When it breaks I'll get another one. If you can wear your watch daily and not care about scratching it, you'll love it even more. [link] [comments]
For those who use auto sleep does heart watch help a lot? And does it use up any more battery? Posted: 24 Apr 2019 04:13 AM PDT What are the perks of being able to see this in depth with your heart rate? I've been getting more into health, and I know it's only a $3 dollar app, but I don't want to buy it then realize I don't need it and never use it. Can't I just use the built in heart rate monitor to see my heart rate? What are you recommendations? [link] [comments]
How to change the pace alert during a run? Posted: 24 Apr 2019 05:46 AM PDT If that's possible at all. Sometimes I set a pace I think I'll keep but later realize I won't, so it would be helpful if I could change it to a new goal without restarting the workout. [link] [comments]
For the users that sleep with their watch, how much battery do you usually lose? Posted: 24 Apr 2019 09:06 AM PDT Most times when I wake up, my Series 3 watch would be at 90%, but after the recent update, it started to finish at 80%. Fast forward to today, and I wake up to my watch at 70%, so I wanna know if that's been happening to other users as well. Also, I put it on Theater Mode when I sleep. [link] [comments]
Best screen cover or case for a sweaty Betty ? Posted: 24 Apr 2019 02:32 AM PDT I wear my Apple Watch pretty much 100% of the time. Especially for workouts. However, I sweat A LOT at the gym. So I occasionally have to take it off and wipe the sweat off. I also have scratched it up quite a bit because I'm nervous my sweat will get stuck in/under any case. Got any recommendations? Contacted My Doctor Thanks To AW4 Posted: 23 Apr 2019 09:25 AM PDT Yesterday I woke up to a notification telling me that my heart rate had dropped to 36bpm for more than 10minutes while I was sleeping. This was alarming to say the least. I've been told by my doctor that I have bradycardia. However, my heart rate has never dropped that low. My sleeping heart rate is normally 48-52bpm while my resting heart rate hovers around 55-57bpm. I workout a lot. A combination of weights and cardio. For this reason, my doctor isn't alarmed. Well, that all changed yesterday. When I sent him a picture from the health app showing the heart rate dip to 36bpm, he called me right away. I have an appointment to see him tomorrow 4/24. It may be serious and it may not be, but thanks to the AW, I am on top of it. FYI, the high heart rate in the picture was while I was working out. [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 Apr 2019 07:22 AM PDT Before I sell my apple watch series 3 I would like to use my apple care to get some minor scuffs removed. Could I do this? would i need to pay a deductible? [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Apr 2019 08:52 PM PDT I am in a SMS group chat that I can't leave (but really want to) and so I have it on Do Not Disturb on my phone. Despite this, I still get a buzz on my watch. Because of this I cannot differentiate the 100's of texts i get from this group chat from my actual messages. Is there a way to fix this or to put Do Not Disturb on a group chat for my watch? Any way to "Love" a song on Apple Watch? Posted: 23 Apr 2019 03:14 PM PDT I've tried both tapping the "..." button and Force Touching on both the Now Playing and Music apps, and there's no Love/Hate option. [Series 4, watchOS 5] [link] [comments]

[Support] AW4 issue with heart rate reading during workout Posted: 23 Apr 2019 10:43 AM PDT Does anyone else have issues with their watch taking their heart rate when working out? I start an exercise in the Workout app and there are times when the BPM just reads '--', even when I'm well into the workout. Restarting the watch seems to rectify the problem, but the same issue will pop up a couple of days later. [link] [comments]
How do you optimise the battery life of your Apple Watch? Posted: 23 Apr 2019 07:19 PM PDT I have a series three watch and I realise that the battery life is running low at the end of the day. My desire for a fuss-free watch is that I do not need to remove it during charging (or later forget it while running errands) and use it for sleep tracking. How do you manage the battery life of your watch that you can wear it comfortably thoughtout the day? I hope to use it for sleep tracking but I worry that the battery would die or be sub par the next morning. [link] [comments]
Option to customize Siri’s delay prior to sending text? Posted: 23 Apr 2019 07:04 PM PDT Just got my watch within the week. I like being able to raise the watch to my mouth and dictate a text to a friend. What I don't like is that it takes about a minute or two before the message is actually sent with no option to send it immediately. Can this be changed? [link] [comments]
Could you live without your Apple Watch? Posted: 23 Apr 2019 06:59 PM PDT My Apple Watch is out of warranty and damaged to the point repairing is almost the cost of a new Watch. Now I'm debating whether to 1) buy a new Series 4, 2) buy a Series 3 for cheaper, or 3) living life without an Apple Watch... What would you do? [link] [comments]
Autowake draining Watch battery? Posted: 23 Apr 2019 06:37 PM PDT Hello, I have a S2 Nike watch. I recently installed Autowake and I love it, except for one thing. I go to bed with 95% battery and wake up with only 35%. Ik this is the app because previously I only lost about 5-10% overnight. Has anyone else had this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Do you use a stainless steel link band? If so which one? I'm having trouble finding a good one Posted: 23 Apr 2019 06:15 PM PDT I have a small wrist, I am on the third smallest loop on the 44mm s/m sport band. I wanted to get the 44 because I like the bigger screen, it doesn't look too big on my wrist, but it makes it harder finding watch bands that fit. Do you have any recommendations on stainless steel link bands that become that small and are good quality? [link] [comments]
[SUPPORT] Can’t send dictated messages through Siri Posted: 23 Apr 2019 06:01 PM PDT Watch IOS: 4.2 iPhone 7: 11.3.1 Hope someone can help, when I use Siri to dictate a text to someone, she reads my text back and says "I'll send this" but then the only button is "Don't send". I've tried pressing the crown to send, saying "send", "yes" or "hey Siri please send" but nothing sends the message. I also tried not touching the message and lowering my wrist but the message just stays on the screen until I press the crown and it disappears. I have reset my watch and phone but to no avail. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
