| Posted: 06 Sep 2020 08:52 PM PDT Hello, I am using an iPhone 7 that has been dealing with a charging port issue for months now; I had to angle the charger at a perfect angle to get it to charge, on top of the port feeling super loose. However about 2 hours ago, it stopped charging completely, and I am now here freaking out seeing the battery hanging around 10% at the moment. There is no apple store or qualified dealers/repair shops with an open reservation spot anywhere near, and I heard that my carrier, AT&T, doesn't give out loaner phones. Please help me ASAP; I'm a college student who relies on my phone for 99% of my educational, occupational, and social communications, and I don't know how to handle this at all! [link] [comments]  |

| Macbook Pro camera black screen help Posted: 06 Sep 2020 10:19 PM PDT Camera does not display anything when opening Facetime, Zoom or anything that uses the camera. When I try to open facetime, green led lights up for about 5 seconds then disappears. Few seconds later, message pops up saying "FaceTime has not received any video from the connected camera. Restarting your computer may fix this issue". I have tried all the possible fixes i could find on google. Here are some of the fixes that I have tried:

Posted: 06 Sep 2020 07:58 PM PDT My iPad has been having problems charging for the past month (I have to plug the charger in at the right angle and with some force into the lightning port for it to work) and all of the sudden, it is not charging at all. When I plug my charger in, it says it is charging for about a minute, then it says "not charging" up in the top right corner next to a white battery icon. Does anyone know how to fix this? My iPad is a little over a year old and is in great condition, so I'm not sure why it's having problems. I know the charger/outlet are not the problem because I've tried multiple chargers and outlets, all of which also work on my iPhone. I'm trying to avoid having to go to the Apple store for help because the warranty is over and they'd most likely charge a ridiculous amount of money. | Unable to connect to WiFi / Incorrect Password - iPhone 6, Software Version iOS 13.3 Posted: 06 Sep 2020 10:09 AM PDT Does anyone here have any good solutions to solving the 'unable to connect to Wifi even though the password typed is correct' problem? I have been using my home WiFi for years now with my iPhone and had no issues and only recenty have I experienced this issue. Other Apple devices from family members can connect automatically. I tried all the solutions online, including turning on/off Airplane mode, disabling WiFi Assist, toggling WiFi button, Reset Network Settings, and hard iPhone reset. I also power-cycled/reset my router. The issue I have is that my iPhone does NOT have the option to Forget the Network for my home WiFi I'm trying to connect to. I typed the password character-by-character to make sure it's correct. The only last resort would be to do a factory reset, but I would like some more suggestions before resorting to this route. | Macbook Air Wi-Fi unusable with Bluetooth Posted: 06 Sep 2020 04:19 PM PDT Macbook Air 2020, basic i3 version macOS Catalina 10.15.6 Just a few days ago I started having massive network slowness when using Bluetooth. Massive I mean 20x slower on speedtest when bluetooth is on. I can't even watch youtube on 144p. Just wanna point out that it occurs even when no devices are connected to the bluetooth, just turning bluetooth on makes the speed drop 20x immediately. I've had this macbook for about 3 months now and I've been using bluetooth headphones every single day and occasionally bluetooth mouse never had any network slowness like this at all. This issue only occurs on the macbook, my other laptop / my parents laptop (both windows laptops) doesn't have the issue on the same network using wifi, so I wanted to assume no modem issue, but when using mobile hotspot, with 2.4GHz band as well, I don't get any performance drop, so I really don't know... I've tried almost every advice there is on google for this issue - I restarted modem, restarted Macbook, reset WiFi and Bluetooth settings, deleted some bluetooth file to generate a fresh one, kept changing channels on the modem to look for one with the least interference, set "Bluetooth PAN" to inactive in Network settings - none of this helped. I also can't set WiFi settings on the modem to 5G since it's quite an old device and it doesnt support 5G frequency - but as I said, I experience this problem since just a few days and i've been using wifi together with bluetooth ever since I got this macbook a few months ago and this issue basically started out of nowhere. Anybody else having the same issue? Or has anybody experienced and resolved an issue like this and how? The thing I suspected is that it started after the last macOS update or something, since as I said, my other laptops don't have this issue, but on the other hand, using mobile hotspot instead, I don't get any performance issues on the macbook. On that email there was a login notification for my old icloud (seemingly legitimate, I verified sender address with apple). What I am confused about is whether this email means someone gained full access, or if it could mean they knew my password but did not necessarily get past the security question stage. I'm miffed as to how they knew my security question answers as even I am unable to crack them (I have an approximate idea of the answers but knowing me at that time likely spelled my responses wrong). However, they keep disconnecting from my iPhone randomly even though they have enough battery. It works fine when listening to music. I've tried using it with my iPad but same thing happens.

| My iPhone might be stuck in the iOS 14 beta Posted: 06 Sep 2020 09:57 AM PDT I have an iPhone XR and I updated it to the beta version of iOS 14 literally a day or two after it came out. But, I haven't received any more software updates since then and I've seen people on reddit talk about the new iOS 14 beta update and all and I haven't receive any of those updates. ( eg. even my Apple Music logo is still the same old white not the new red one) I installed the beta from a link from some YouTube reviewers video, and every time I go and check for a new update it shows my iPhone is upto date on iOS 14. the beta when it was downloading also showed it was verified by apple. Can someone explain to me if there's a problem with my iPhone as I NOW feel I might've installed the beta from a sketchy web or something and my phone might've gotten stuck in the beta version receiving no more updates. | IMac won't let me update imovie Posted: 06 Sep 2020 11:16 AM PDT My Mac is getting really slow, so after resetting a bunch of stuff in addition to getting malwarebytes (found over 30 detections by the way), my friend suggested that I do a factory reset and install windows. The issue is that I want to get all the nostalgic stuff off of it before hand, but in order to access imovie, I need to update it. When I try to update it, it asks for apple ID and password. No one can remember the password (set in like 2013 or so). Then when I hit forgot password and enter the email, it says that said email isn't registered with an apple ID. We've tried every other email that we know of, all of which have Apple IDs, but none of which were used to purchase/update imovie in the past, so we can't use a different apple ID now. The first email, the one that no one can remember the password to is the email that's auto filled in when we open appstore. Anyone have any suggestions? [link] [comments]  |
| AirPods won’t connect and case won’t charge Posted: 06 Sep 2020 02:58 PM PDT So my brother gave me his AirPods on my birthday in May and they worked great, but after a while, the case started messing up and didn't charge at all, so I had to buy a sort of bootleg charging case, without the sync button. Well just now, the decided to not connect with the new case and when I tried to disconnect them, maybe they just needed a restart or something, it won't sync since they don't have a sync button on the back. I really don't want to pay for another cause I don't want to waste money, but I did find my old case and tried to charge it up again, but again it didn't work. | Posted: 06 Sep 2020 02:54 PM PDT I purchased a 2020 MacBook air a few months ago. For various reasons I did not like it, one of them being there was a red pixel in the bottom left corner of the screen. I ended up exchanging it for a MBP. So I restored it from a backup and to my surprise, the same red pixel is there! This makes me think it's a software-related issue rather than a hardware issue perhaps? What are the odds the same exact pixel is frozen red on two different machines? I also noticed that it goes away when I restart or shut down the computer and then reappears on start up. Is there anything I can do about this pixel? Or should I just suck it up and wait for the next OS and see if it still persists? Any advice or help would be appreciated. | Battery Health Management issue MacBook Air 2020 Posted: 06 Sep 2020 02:54 PM PDT I purchased a 2020 MacBook Air 10 days ago. I use it almost exclusively on power but I already have 6 battery cycles which I certainly did not do. Coconut battery shows my Mac is fully charged anywhere from 97% to 99% of the full capacity, which is to be expected with the new Battery Health Management feature. Is this causing the drain and increasing cycles? Do you have it turned on and noticed anything similar? [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 06 Sep 2020 10:51 AM PDT The stock view is of the podcast feed in the left bar, and in the main window that feed's list of podcasts from most recent to first. There was a view where there was no side bar, and just a list of all episodes from all feeds, with the most recent first. For some reason, my most recent episodes got deleted, so I'm trying to redownload them without going into each of my 50ish feeds. [link] [comments]  |

I woke up this morning, tried to load a game, and the whole computer just shut down without hesitation. I tried to update my drivers, and it shut down when installing, now, it's 50/50 as to whether or not I can even turn my MacBook on without it shutting down after I type in my password! For context, this is a 2017 MacBook Air, so somewhat recent, and I have had no issues to date. It is also bootcamped/partitioned with Windows 10 to make gaming somewhat possible 😅.
