| Audio sounds muffled/quiet on iPhone Posted: 04 Jul 2020 10:13 PM PDT I have an iPhone 11 purchased around 9 months ago. When I play certain songs sometimes the audio is muffled if the beat is quiet or there's a quiet adlib. It used to happen in my old car (Perhaps it was due to using a cassette to aux); but not when I'd play songs through my phone's speakers. I played with the "Playback" settings in the music tab in the phone's settings, but that didn't help. It happens on Apple Music as well as other platforms so I assume it's not the audio from YouTube. I found out about Optimized Storage and went to turn it off, but there's nothing there. There should be a switch I can turn off, but there isn't. Only "Downloaded Music." Any ideas? It doesn't connect to bluetooth either (the bluetooth isn't greyed, I still have the option to switch it on unlike the wifi but it doesnt find any devices). | Moving iPhone backup to a new computer and using iTunes on new computer to restore back up Posted: 04 Jul 2020 04:18 PM PDT I have an older computer running Windows that had been on its last legs for a while, and the only real reason I have kept it around was for the purpose of backing up my iPhone and installing updates. Today I wanted to get the most recent iOS version, so I backed up my phone, and proceeded to download the update. The back up was successful, then the phone began to update to iOS 13.5.1. In the middle of doing this, my computer overheated and shut down. As I restarted my computer and connected my iPhone, I was able to get the phone updated to the new operating system, but it is an entirely wiped phone with nothing on it. As I'm setting up the phone, it's giving me options to select how apps and data will be transferred, so I select "Restore from Mac or PC", which then prompts me to connect to my computer. I select the back up from this morning and it begins to restore. Similar story, in the middle of restoring this update, the computer overheated and shutdown. I tried for a second time with the same result. My newer laptop is running Windows 10 Pro. I've just downloaded iTunes to my newer computer. If I create a similar folder location on my new computer and copy the backup from the external hard drive there, will I be able to plug my iPhone into new computer/iTunes and restore that backup? Are there other files that need to be copied over from my old computer? Am I missing a step? Is there something specific I have to do for iTunes to recognize the backup that I've manually added? Or am I just out of luck and my only hope is that I try the restore on my old computer and somehow it goes through? | Posted: 04 Jul 2020 02:36 AM PDT Hello! I purchased an iPhone XR on the 22nd of May, 2020. (the software is up to date, so it is whatever the latest one is) The first few days, everything was perfect, because the phone was new, I used it for 12-13 hours and it fell below 20 percent only then. After the first week though, I started noticing problems. Every app was draining my battery, I contacted Apple's support so many times and tried everything, resetting my phone, disabling Bluetooth, not using it for a day, turning off background refresh, turning on auto brightness, turning off location services... The battery drain is 10% every hour when the screen is on, minimum. When I use apps like YouTube or online games , it's suddenly 13% or more. Before being sent to be repaired, the phone lasted for 7-8 hours max. When I disable Bluetooth completely, it's significantly lower but I need to connect my AirPods and my watch. :/ Anyways, I sent my phone for a repair after people from Apple Support told me to. They apparently found nothing wrong with the phone but could change the battery if I wanted, which is not cheap. The phone has a two year warranty but apparently battery replacements are not covered. Is there anything I can do? Because the phone is still being shipped back rn, I'm using a shitty old phone and it's still better than the iPhone. I'm so upset because it was a birthday gift and I've been looking after it so carefully. Everything about the device is perfect except for this annoying battery issue! Under the color coded system that they have the most thing taking up space is the category "other". Does anyone know what this "other" might be? My photos are sitting at 3.71G, my apps consist of roughly 15G. System probably around 3-5G compared to the app color bar. Messages is a smidge, and so are the others. This is pretty frustrating not know exactly what is taking over more than half my storage. I recently deleted all my downloaded music from Spotify, which was about 20G. The iPhone is in good shape aesthetically and I've already got people bidding on it. I am wondering if my data is safe once it goes to the new owner. The iPhone doesn't turn on at all. I was told it was due to a bad logic board that fails to provide power to the circuitry. The battery on this phone was around 83% when it happened. I stupidly forgot to change the battery which probably caused this. I already removed this iPhone from my Apple ID account and I don't know what to do after that.
