    I’ve found this old apple extended keyboard 2 and I’ve no idea how to put the spacebar back in place. I’m pretty sure it s not broken. Any help would be much appreciated!

    I just recently bought a MAC second hand and they did not clear their data. I have tried the command-R method but nothing happens it still boots up to the main screen with the profiles I don't know the passwords to. some help please?

    Connecting 2 hdmi monitors to one macbook pro, with 2 thunderbolt ports

    Ultimate goal is to connect 2 hdmi monitors to a single macbook pro, and have the monitors be independent of each other (not mirrored).

    One issue is as far as I know, the power cord must be directly connected to the laptop, leaving only one thunderbolt port open.

    Is this possible?

    help transferring pictures from pc to iphone via icloud

    hey i got the 50gb icloud storage for my pictures but one thing i always do is transfer pictures i've taken on my dslr and then import them to my iphone via itunes usually. but since i've got icloud 50gb storage that option to import pictures directly from my pc is no longer available to me and now i have to go through the middle man which the icloud photos app and upload every album i want to transfer onto my phone. the thing i hate about this is how long it takes! with itunes i could upload albums of pictures and be done in 5mins, but by uploading to icloud those pictures and waiting for them to sync it just takes way too long than it should. any help or alternatives i can try? thanks i know this is a lot lmk if anything is confusing!

    I have an iPhone 11 purchased around 9 months ago. When I play certain songs sometimes the audio is muffled if the beat is quiet or there's a quiet adlib. These are 2 videos to explain the issue since it's hard to understand through text:

    It didn't always do this, I just noticed it recently. It used to happen in my old car (Perhaps it was due to using a cassette to aux); but not when I'd play songs through my phone's speakers. I played with the "Playback" settings in the music tab in the phone's settings, but that didn't help. It happens on Apple Music as well as other platforms so I assume it's not the audio from YouTube. If anyone has experienced anything similar please let me know what you did to fix it & what the issue was. Thanks in advance!

    iPhone 11 camera not focusing when close to objects

    I was talking to my friend via FaceTime and was trying to show her something so I close up to the object but it won't focus, I thought this was normal behavior as it usually happens with the camera app, whenever I am too close I cannot focus the camera properly. However, her iPhone 8 does focus objects when close, we ran several tests and indeed the focus on her iPhone works fine so I am starting to think my iPhone is defective.

    Pixels that are the wrong colour, but only sometimes (after scratching MacBook screen)

    The other day, I accidentally scratched the screen of my 13-inch MacBook Air (early 2015). Initially, everything seemed fine, and the whole screen was working fine. Several hours later, it seemed as though I had two stuck pixels in the scratched region. They remained stuck on red. However, over the next day, they disappeared. Now, those same pixels flicker red for a short time after opening the computer (or any time that the screen has been parallel to the ground), but once the screen has been perpendicular to the table for a while they return to normal function. Additionally, pressing gently on the screen in the location of the pixels makes them function normally until the computer is closed. Is this behaviour normal (for a stuck pixel) and what might be causing it to switch between being stuck and normal? Is it bad for the screen to press the screen in the damaged area to 'fix' the pixels?

    My iPhone won’t let me play videos in the photos app or delete any photos or videos. How do I fix this.

    My phone was recording a video when it died and when it got recharged the problem in the title happened. When I try to watch a recording there is just a loading wheel and the first frame. When I delete something it shows it as deleted until I leave the app or the album it was in.

    Mid 2009 Mac book pro won’t turn back on. Help!!!

    Hello, I have a mid 2009 Mac book pro (I know it's old but it's been working fine) that just recently stopped turning on. If I press the power button the laptop makes a clicking sound, but the screen nor any of the lights on the keyboard or Apple logo turn on (although the little white light on the bottom half of the laptop that flashes when it's closed does turn on). After a few seconds it makes another clicking sound and that's it. I've tried to reset the System Power Management Control (Shift + Control + Option + Power Button) it worked the first time but my computer died and it hasn't worked again since.

    Does anyone know what the issue is and how it can be fixed? I have college orientation on Zoom in about a week and a half so I really need my laptop. I know for sure the laptop is on because I can hear it, it also charges normally as well. I have already spoken to Apple support, they told me my device is too old for them to do anything about it. I do plan on getting a new Mac soon but I still need my this one fixed. Anyway, sorry for the long post. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

    I've decided to try get this iPhone 6s I found in one of my draws running again. It's been sat off for maybe 5 years. When connected to charge the display will not turn on at all, where should I start with this device in my quest to get it operational?

    Hi!

    Ok, So I was having issues with my Macbook Pro 2015 retina display 13 inch where the battery died so I got the status 'Replace No', 'Battery Not Charging' and all of that. So ofc it would only work on the power adapter and if I took it out it would stop working. So ofc to save myself hundreds I bought what I needed and attempted to fix the issue myself. The first thing I did was buy a new battery. After installing the new battery and doing an SMC reset, same status, same issue, no change.

    I then came across this article: https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/170568/New+battery+is+not+charging+and+condition+says+replace+now It mentions that if this issue occurred the guy at the show would recommend replacing the I/O board (btw I know this is for a 2011 macbook air, But I found a guide for a 2015 retina macbook pro and followed it and did exactly what it said). So yeah surprise surprise after buying a new I/O board now and replacing that and doing an SMC reset, again same issue.

    I have heard that with a new battery you need to calibrate it, however, I can't do that as that requires disconnecting the power and the computer just shuts off this way so it's not an option. The battery cycle amount is currently 0 counts however the battery health reads as 100% on 'coconut battery health'

    I'm fast running out of ideas... and the will to live and I'd really rather save myself hundreds of points by taking it to a repair shop. So if u guys have any fixes to this issue or other suggestions of what I need to try that would be massively appreciated as I've exhausted all my options.

    2 year old Macbook pro 15" retina mid 2015 display started having slim horizontal lines.

    I was using it fine yesterday, it was smooth sailing until this morning I turned it on and it had slim horizontal lines that were pretty noticeable to the eye. It was a hard to capture it on camera, here it is. I was trying to find solutions for it and many people had said that it's gone away on its own. So i left the macbook alone for most of the day. Tonight when I checked on it , it looked the same as this morning but as soon as I moved the mouse, the display shifted upwards leaving a space at the bottom everything became distorted and pink and everything was leaving a trail. I closed it and left is for another few hours while trying to find a solution. I just opened it to get a picture of it for you guys, but it seems to be back to the horizontal noticeable and cant unsee once you seem them lines. Please help!

    Is there a way to access photos in iOS library?

    I use Resilio Sync to sync my photos without using cloud storage as an intermediary and also to create one-way encrypted backups on a remote server. I'm able to do this with all my files except I can't access my photos because they're locked into iOS photo library. When a photo is taken on my iPhone, it goes straight to the "Photos" app where it can't be accessed by the "Files" app and therefore can't be synced using Resilio. Hence, the only option to sync my photos across my devices is to use iCloud which I'd like to avoid because of privacy concerns and the cost of cloud storage.

    Does anyone know any creative workaround for this? Like a way to forward all the photos from the Photos app automatically to the Files app? Or maybe some sort of alternative photo library that I can set as the default?

    (Disclaimer: I want to keep this as objective as possible and I want to keep this an open discussion. If this post breaks or is in problem with any rules, please inform me of that and I will edit/change this post accordingly. I have read through all rules and think that this post does not break any of them, but I'm want to really make sure that everything is in the give rules)

    Hey,

    I finally have decided to stop hating on apple and give them a fair chance. I never really liked apple because of their anti repair stuff, their premium prices, bad architecture, etc. etc. But I do want to give them a fair chance, so I started my search 4 days ago to find a good (used and not way too expensive MacBook). After going through all flaws of MacBooks until the 2010 era, I have found that it's nearly impossible to buy a good long lasting MacBook. 2011 has the GPU Problem, 2012 has the recoil issue and no way to get a battery for nowadays which is a big problem when I'm buying used. 2015+ keyboard problems, display cable problems, humidity problems, apple can make device unusable when temperate with, too high prices for my budget atm.

    That's leaves only the 2013 (but avoid Iris GPU (not a major problems, just from I've heard they are more likely to have GPU related problems)) and 2014 models (for which I don't have any info of major failures/flaws), which are good but sadly seem rare on the used market which is a bummer.

    I don't want to hate on apple for all these problems, I want to give them an honest and fair chance, which is why I'm even trying to get a good one and daily drive it for about a year. But it seems that there are no real good options to choose from sadly, every version seems to have a major problem, you don't really see this with Dell XPS, Lenovo/(back then) IBM ThinkPads, Dell latitude, Acer swift, Lenovo Yoga, etc. Those don't really have such major issues which can hard brick the whole device for such a small reason.

    Do you guys have any suggestions (or corrections, sorry if I did get something wrong, please correct me. I will redo the research and edit this based on what you guys know) or maybe tips on which MacBook is good/will last for a while and is usable.

    P.S.: I really don't want to just dump on apple here, I am really trying to look at all this from an objective perspective, if you feel like this post is not objective, please point out what you think is more opinion based and I'll try to edit/remove that part.

    Is it better to run windows on a MacBook for ArcMap, or better to have a dedicated PC? I'm not technically savvy, so focusing on simplicity. Thanks for any advice.

    I want to start working in ArcMap off my laptop and there should be plenty of power even if I partition the HD. I am afraid of the minutia of switching between the OS. I have been thinking about parallel to run Windows, but I would like to get a better guide to Bootcamp.

    Hidden purchases are not working for me

    I go in to all purchased apps, and followed the process swiping left and pressing hide, then pressing done, however when I leave then go back to all purchases the app I attempted to hide still appears.
