| iPhone Pro Max: Bluetooth Connection issues Posted: 29 Jul 2020 09:49 PM PDT When I'm in my car and listen to Spotify or Apple Music, often the songs don't play properly and it's like the Bluetooth connection gets lost for a split second and that can happen like every 20 sec during a song. The same thing happens when I listen to the podcast app. My brother has the same phone, not the same car but like mine it's a Mercedes, I got the C type and his is the CLA. I'm on iOS 13.3, he is on the current iOS version. I can't find a solution to it, sometimes it works fine and the other time again a song won't be played properly and I get those split seconds were the song lose sound and in the next split seconds I again can hear it, when this happens like 8 times during an 4 min song, it becomes really annoying. Hope someone is familiar with the problem and can give us some help with it, cause we never had a problem like this with our other iPhones on the same cars. [link] [comments]  |

(iOS 13.6) Posted: 29 Jul 2020 09:19 PM PDT Here's the scoop: I'm a 17 year old who worked hard to buy a new phone with my own money and I pay for the plan myself each month— I think that it's somewhat fair that I should have even minimal access to a device of my belonging for more than an hour a day. My parents have set up a screen time setting it seems to my phone, which was fine until they changed it to block off my necessities after an hour as well; wallet, messages, maps, gmail which I use when I'm out of the house, coming home from work or picking up lunch (imagine my frustration when I was at the front of the chipotle lineup to buy food when my "wallet" app timed out). Though I respect my parents dearly, I do rely on technology for one thing or another. I've been researching how to get by this but is there any way I can achieve this without jailbreak or paying excessive amounts of money?? The issue is that I don't get notifications on my screen when anyone texts me.I don't get vibrations or sounds when someone texts me.It worked for some people a day ago but now it doesn't for anyone. It shows the red number (the amount of unopened texts you have) on the home screen when some people text me but not for all of them. I don't get banner,lock screen or Notification Center notifications when anyone texts me.I have to open iMessage and check to see if someone has texted me or not.I still get texts but I don't get notifications for when some people text me.All other notifications work just fine EX:Snapchat and Instagram. 4.what caused the issue? About 2-3 days ago I was playing subway surfers and my girlfriend told me that if I change the date to November 12 2020 that I would get more keys. (It worked just fine for her.She has the 2020 iPhone SE.)So I changed the date to November 12 2020 and ever since then I haven't got notifications on iMessage from her and any other people.I changed the date and time back by using "Set automatically".I used to get notifications from my family who have Samsungs but now I don't get notifications from either Samsung or iPhone.
I have turned off my iPhone completely but that didn't work.The force shut off also didn't work.I tried signing out of Apple ID and signing back in.i have also updated my iPhone to iOS 13.6.(it showed the text that was sent to me during the update on the lock screen but, it was just that one text that I got notified of)I don't have Do Not Disturb on or hide alerts on.I have the show previews set to Always.I have the notifications for iMessage on.My ICloud is backed up. | Posted: 29 Jul 2020 06:06 PM PDT A friend with an iPhone (8?) showed me a screen that I believe was labeled network connections. It had multiple items on the list. The top two were known carrier names, most of the rest were of the form xxx-xxx three numbers, dash, three numbers. I was hoping someone might be able to tell me if that format was something that the iPhone uses as something like a local ID that it assigns to something. I had my phone on my table in front of me, I wasn't touching it all, and the screen lit up as if I had tapped it. I didn't have it charging (I know when you plug/unplug the charger it lights up), and I didn't say "Hey Siri" or anything. I didn't get any notifications either. Anyone know the answer here? This issue came out of nowhere, and even after huge deletions and app clearing, it continues to take whatever space I free up. Help! | Posted: 29 Jul 2020 01:01 PM PDT Yeah, so i have an old iphone SE 1st gen with 32gb storage. Well, over time it seemed i was running out of space but Other was growing like the Blob. At first, I thought i might have gotten a virus, BUT ends up it is a corrupted memory issue. the way to fix it is a little inconvenient but easy enough. Backup your phone's import data, like contacts and calendar to icloud. make sure you backup everything that is important to u to your PC or the respective apps acct. then reset to new. this will erase everything, so there is no way to undo this if u forget to backup something. then restore from your backup on the cloud. should be all better now. hope this helps. cheers, my apple friends. Posted: 29 Jul 2020 12:17 PM PDT I wanted to redeem the free year of the athletic and it required adding a payment method which I did, and I promptly canceled the trial so it wont renew, and now I want to remove my card info entirely from the iphone. I have found the card info stored in my icloud and removed it from there, then I found it in apple pay info if I want to add a card this cards info shows up. | iPhone 11 Boot Issue/Customer service Posted: 29 Jul 2020 05:21 AM PDT So on Thursday of last week I received my first iPhone/Apple device. Tuesday I was texting my wife and my phone restarted and then went in to a boot loop. I went to the support page, followed the instructions for update/restore on both my pc and my wifes macbook. I then call support and they walked me through the same steps again and they determined I need to replace it. Fine. They would send me a new one and I'd send this one back. They then informed me there would be a $29 charge to send me the replacement. When i questioned them as to why they said it was just their policy and the phone was under limited warranty and they couldn't send me a replacement until I paid the $29. Now I understand there's a limited warranty, BUT 5 DAYS AFTER I BUY IT? I spent $700 on a phone and now I'm paying another $29 to replace it? This seems ridiculous and I know it's not a lot of money, but for what apple charges, I expected a little more. Am I over reacting? Anyone else have this experience? [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 29 Jul 2020 01:45 AM PDT I can't find an actual answer to the question and I'm really curious to know why 'reset all settings' or 'reset network settings' etc is actually a suggestion as a fix to a lot of problems when you look for troubleshooting ideas for an iPhone. Like I get that it resets your network settings (or whatever settings you decide to reset)...but why would that actually solve any problems?? It doesn't really make sense to me. Is it the equivalent of telling a typical person saying they have problems with their computer to try restarting it? Or is there actually some underlying thing it does beyond just resetting settings (clear memory, cache, etc)? Most of the time I don't even see how resetting any settings would fix the questions people are asking yet that's the solution that most people suggest. For instance, why would resetting your network settings and simply reconnecting to your network actually solve any connection issue you're having when all it's doing is forgetting your wifi network and reconnecting to the same unchanged network?
