Posted: 28 Jun 2020 10:16 PM PDT I just noticed tonight that this week's HBO shows, like Perry Mason, are unavailable to play in the HBO TV Channel, which I have, since I subscribed before it was removed for new subscribers. The only playback option is HBO Max, which is less preferable to me because of lack of intro skip, auto play, live channel, etc. Older shows (e.g. last week's Perry Mason) still play in the HBO Apple TV Channel. Anyone seen an explanation for this change? [link] [comments]
Apple TV 6 will be released in September, equipped with A12X, up to 128GB storage Posted: 28 Jun 2020 05:49 AM PDT According to @Jon Prosser's previous news on Twitter, the new generation of Apple TV may have 64GB/128GB storage in addition to the A12X bionic chip. [link] [comments]

Apple TV 4K with Sony tv and sound bar Posted: 28 Jun 2020 04:21 PM PDT I'm looking for some advice. Does anyone know if the Sony soundbar HT-ST5000 paired with the Sony Bravia A9G (master series) works well with the Apple TV 4K over HDMI-CEC? Basically, I want to make sure I'll be able to just use the Apple TV remote to control the volume and turn on/off both the soundbar and TV. [link] [comments]

YouTube now works like Chromecast Posted: 28 Jun 2020 12:00 PM PDT Is it just me, or I can now use YouTube on my Apple TV just like I use with chromecast. For example, now I can queue videos or choose another video while a video is playing. Or maybe this was already implemented a while ago but I've just noticed it now? [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Jun 2020 05:55 PM PDT Regardless of whatever picture or sound quality are offered by streaming platforms like Netflix, Stan, Prime etc. Apple TV should show you the details for the best quality version available and then when you click on one of the hyperlinks to either purchase the film or stream it, they should show you the quality details for that option instead of the iTunes extras requires version rubbish. Very annoying to have to manually switch to the iTunes Movies app or open the store on my phone just to see if the film is in 4K because Prime or Stan only offer it in HD. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Jun 2020 05:23 AM PDT I used to use Tunespan for my large video library which was spanned across two large external hard drives. Since the TV app was introduced I cannot access the movies on the second drive as Tunespan is broken due to the new TV app with no timeline on if or when they will be compatible with the new TV app. Does anyone have a 3rd party app or method they use to get this to work with the new TV app? Is there really no way to hide photos? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 02:56 PM PDT This is my first Apple TV and I signed into my Apple account and now all my photos can be viewed? I want to completely disable this. Why would I want anyone and everyone to access to all my photos from the living room? [link] [comments]

macOS (or tvOS) Movie Artwork Bug? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 08:13 AM PDT I noticed an issue after upgrading to Catalina with movie artwork on my Apple TV. When going to the "Movies iTunes" on my Apple TV (through the purchased movies App) the artwork is vertical and looks correct. Here's a picture. https://i.imgur.com/ImjhUch.jpg When I go to the "My Computer" section within the Apple TV and go to my movies and stream them from my computer (the same purchased movies, but from my computer to the Apple TV) the artwork format is horizontal and messed up. Here's a picture example of the same movies. https://i.imgur.com/Uv5HTPJ.jpg Is this a known issue that's being worked on? I'm not sure if it's macOS or tvOS, but I'd love for the artwork to look correct on both areas. [link] [comments]
tvOS 14 Beta 4K YouTube not working? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 11:12 AM PDT On Apple's website, they list 4K YouTube as a feature of tvOS 14. I am currently running the developer beta, but there is still no 4K videos on YouTube app. Anybody have it working, or aware if we need to wait for an app update for it? Thanks [link] [comments]
