    hey! anyone know why my phone is doing this, the power on screen just stays like that and it never actually turns on, its been this way for about 4 months now and its really annoying if anyone knows how to fix this issue that would be amazing! my local apple is closed so i cant get it fixed there :(

    I feel like switching back over from android. I almost always have ended up switching between the two over my history depending on my needs.

    Specifically iphones 7, 8 and se? Because I was ease of usage from holding it in one hand. But the battery life of the 6s was pretty bad. It sunk after year 1. Right now I listen to maybe an hour of music a day, a few glances at news, emails and messages - I'm a very light user - and on my android atm it gives me about 2 to 3 days of battery.

    I wanted to simply hear if any iphone 7, 8 or SE users felt the battery was decent and what their usage is like.

    This keeps popping up every 30mins when watching dvds, keep pressing cancel, but keeps coming back, does anyone know how to get rid of this so it doesnt show please.

    Once upon a time, I could load old (classic Mac) disk images with DiskImageMounter, which came with the operating system. Now I find that they don't open. DiskUtiiity can't do it. And DiskImageMounter is nowhere to be found.

    iPad Pro battery draining overnight?

    I inherited a 10.5" iPad Pro and noticed if I charge it to 100% then leave it overnight when I open it again in the morning it'll have discharged to somewhere around 35%.

    I thought it might have something to do with a Logitech Combo Touch smart keyboard case I bought for it last week, like as if the keyboard was draining power from it overnight, but even when I disconnected the "Smart Keyboard" overnight it had still somehow drained to around 35%.

    The other thing I thought it might be related to is leaving a USB to lightning dongle plugged in when not in use, but it seems silly that either of these two things would cause that much (if any) noticeable battery drain.

    Does anyone have any common culprits for draining iPad battery overnight, or could it just be that my iPad battery is old? Like I said, I inherited from a friend who bought it new in 2017, so I would be shocked if the battery had degraded that much over that length of time, but running a battery test app it does seem to indicate the performance/capacity of the battery is down to around 80%…

    me and my dad were on a walk and we found a iphone 11 on the side of the road. we called at&t and gave them the IMEI but the person cancled and said they couldnt do anything and the phone was garbage. the phone had a password do i went into the recovery mode and then got hit with the activation lock. does anyone know how to bypass this i have tried so much stuff and have watched so many videos but nothing helps me.

    My Macbook Air connects to 5 GHz wifi but not to 2.4 GHz, Please help!

    Hello, I have this problem and I don't know how to fix it. The Macbook Air connects to the internet via WIFI if I connect it to the 5 GHz band of the router, but not if I try to connect it to the 2.4 GHz band. The 2.4 GHz network of my router appears in the list of available networks, but, when clicking to connect, it gives an error (even if you enter the password). And I don't know if it will be related, but the same thing happens when I try to get the Mac to connect to the internet sharing iPhone data. It only happens to me with the Macbook Air, because, the iPhone, the iPad, and an old Macbook Pro, connect to the 2.4 GHz band of my router without problems and, equally, I can share data from my iPhone with other devices. I have Catalina installed. Can someone help me fix it? Thank you.

    Iphone x fell in water NEED HELP

    My iphone x fell in water for a max of 1 second while it was on I took it out and left it on (bad idea apparently) it remained on for about 20 seconds and then went to the turning on screen its stays like that for 10 seconds the screen then goes black and then it goes back to the turning on screen. the top of my phone screen is off of the original casing so water 100% got in idk how much but id imagine a small amount. It is currently in rice as it fluctuates from a black screen to the turning on screen. what is happening with my phone and what do i do?

    Find My issue - mom’s phone not listed under devices but is sharing location with me

    Hi, so my mom lost her phone. It's around their house somewhere. Useless information, I know.

    She's under our family plan, she's sharing her location, and I can see her phone is online and somewhere around their house but I do not see it under the device list. I just want to play sound so they can hear where it is.

    I see mine, my wife's and my sister's devices but not hers. What am I missing?

    Hey guys, would really appreciate any input. I'm at my wit's end. Spent a few hundred on parts to I hoped extend the life of my Mac a few more years as I don't use it that often.

    Even after installing the Samsung EVO SSD and 2x8 RAM, the computer is still crazy slow. Like choppy slow. Finder window takes a few seconds to open up. Web browsing is essentially impossible it freezes up so much. And rendering 45 seconds in Premiere Pro took about an hour and a half.

    Is there a piece of hardware that might be going bad like the processor or something? I know it's older, but it was never slow like this to the point of not being usable.

    Also, as a side note, the SSD does work well and boots up super fast. But the computer itself seems like it's on its way out. Would potentially pay for suggested repairs as opposed to replacing it.

    What is running this process?

    Well that's useless.

    • Normally launchctl processes are started from .plist files but I have removed them from /Library/LaunchAgents, ~/Library/LaunchAgents and /System/Library/LaunchAgents etc
    • I checked to make sure they weren't recreated by another process
    • No login items
    • "/Library/StartupItems" is empty, as is "/System/Library/StartupItems"
    • No extenstions

    So how is this being started? Can another random process like Photoshop tell launchctl to start processes without corresponding .plist files?

    Edit: I know Photoshop can spawn other processes, but that isn't what is happening. Activity Monitor clearly shows "launchctl" as the culprit for starting

    How to transfer from iPhone 8 to iPhone 11 that has no SIM card?

    I have an iPhone 8 with Verizon that has my phone number and obviously all my data. I know I can transfer all my data to the iPhone 11 via Quick Start. How do I transfer my Verizon phone number to it, too? Do I need to put the SIM card from iPhone 8 into the iPhone 11?

    If you’ve used a separate iTunes account in the past to download apps, will you be able to get those apps back if you were to get a new phone?

    Sorry if the title doesn't make much sense, but I'll try and explain it better here.

    If it's useful info, I currently have an iPhone 8 Plus. I'm on software version 13.3.1.

    I've always had my own iCloud account, but fairly recently I made my own iTunes account. Previously, I shared an iTunes account with my father. I always have ever since I got my first iPhone, and it just never really occurred to be until recently to make my own.

    Well, I'm not able to update any of my apps, since they were all downloaded when I was using his account; UNLESS I log into his again, which I have not done. It's not really a huge problem since most of these apps are free and I can just download using my own iTunes this time. But there are some in-app purchases that I would rather not have to pay for again.

    So, if I were to get a new iPhone and log into my iCloud on the new one, would the app data still transfer? Or would I need to use his iTunes to get my app data back?

    My phone broke and I am now indefinitely locked out of my apple ID

    Hey guys, at the moment I am quite literally locked out of my own apple ID. Last night my phone broke, and now I can't sign in to my apple ID on anything because I have two factor authentication that sends a message to my dead phone. I've tried to change this, even going to apple's website and trying to change the TFA but they kept saying that they couldn't verify my identity, so now I'm indefinitely locked out of my account. Any suggestions?

    MacBook Pro Shock-Resistance? Carrying in backpack in the outdoors

    Might start on a project that includes lots of outdoor activity, hiking, running, trails, etc. and I would be bringing my 2019 16" MBP with. If I kept it in a thick, padded protective case like this and carried it in a backpack on my journeys, would it be OK?

    The backpack would never be dropped on the ground, crushed, or anything like that. And if it were, I would expect damage. I'm wondering if it simply being on my back and experiencing a lot of jostling around while hiking, jogging, jumping, etc. could cause any issues?

    when did Apple make two factor authentication built into their devices?

    I'm going to preface with the fact that I am not well versed in technology and that my minimal knowledge was from doing a google search, but I couldn't find certain info so I thought I'd ask here. I know for older Apple devices that two factor authentication wasn't mandatory, since my device did not have it, but I read something where two factor was built in and that you could not turn it off. When did Apple devices automatically having two factor authentication turned on start? Or has it even started, assuming I misread. Do you have to manually turn on two factor authentication on your phone or is it done already for you? Thank you!

    My MacBook says "service recommended" for my battery, but I just replaced it.

    I have a MacBook Pro early 2015 running Catalina. A few weeks ago I had some problems with it and noticed it said I needed to replace the battery. After running MRI this was confirmed. I was able to get a new top case, and the computer passed the MRI after this upgrade. I had no problems for about 2 weeks, but now my battery says "service recommended." Why would it say this on a 2 week old battery? Is it a logic board problem? Thanks for your help :)
