| Posted: 03 Jun 2020 10:59 PM PDT Your messages from your phone's Messages app remain in Apple Watch's Messages app, even after you delete them from your iPhone. It might be a slight problem because unlocking an apple watch can be easier than your iPhone (depending on password of course) and it's also quite easy to just take the watch off your wrist without it locking. (I don't recommend anyone to do this, obviously.) Some conversations can have lots of sensitive private personal information like something related to health or finance, and if you wish to delete those conversations later from your phone, it's odd that they stay on the Apple Watch. To delete your messages from Apple Watch, you have to manually go to the Messages app on the Apple Watch once in a while and delete the conversations. I don't think there's a way to disable this, this seems to happen even when messages are turned off in iCloud. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 03 Jun 2020 08:34 PM PDT Here's a short screen recording I made to demonstrate the feature I'm talking about. Notice how after few zoom-outs, the map changes colors quite drastically. It happens again in a couple more zooms, and multiple times after that. If you look closely, the landscape isn't just changing color naturally; there is a digital, 3D overlay on the entire landscape! It blends in quite well, but you can see exactly when the 3D assets start to kick in when the color shifts dramatically. For comparison, here's what Google Maps looks like at the same location. Google is more true-to-life, but far less detailed since it doesn't apply a 3D model to cover the entire landscape. TL;DR: I knew Apple revamped all of their Maps apps, but this is some /r/nextfuckinglevel stuff right here (specifically the global 3D overlay which enhances the level of detail beyond reality). | Anybody notice the inconsistency of scrolling gestures on macOS vs iPadOS? Posted: 03 Jun 2020 08:42 AM PDT Ok so I was just comparing my MBP and iPad Pro with the magic keyboard with the trackpad. This has been messing with my head a little. I got both devices with natural scrolling turned off (but even enabled it works vice versa for each). Scrolling works fine but three finger gesture left and right (swiping through macOS spaces and iPad apps) works differently on macOS vs iPadOS. Another good example is removing mail in mail. Two finger swipe to left on Mac and you can remove the email. Same on iPad needs swiping to the right. This just throws you off* lol [link] [comments]  | ||
