- iPhone 7+ mic won't pickup sound, speakers won't play sound in calls (will play other sounds like videos). Bluetooth devices with mics such as a headset work fine and allow calls to be made, but calls are silent on both ends using in built mic + speakers

| Small Debris Caught in 11 Pro Seam Posted: 06 May 2020 08:14 PM PDT Hey, guys. I've had the iPhone 11 Pro for several months now and recently noticed that there's some very small, lightly colored debris (almost like dust or lint) stuck in the little bottom left corner front-facing seam where the screen fits into the body. Is this normal or is my screen not sealed properly? The screen doesn't really seem loose at all. If it is normal, any ideas on how to clean it out? Thanks! [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 06 May 2020 11:27 PM PDT I have a iPhone 7 that was given to me from my sister after my crazy baby mama broke my XR. Its already logged in a Apple ID that belonged to the person before my sister and no way to get in contact with them. I was able to log out of their App Store and iTunes account and I was able to log into mine. I can get apps thankfully but just can't have my Apple ID linked to it. I'd there anyway to get around it? | Posted: 06 May 2020 06:32 PM PDT i need advice with a couple bugs please today my phone just started going wonky after using it for a majority of the day. first my spotify app wouldn't work. completely just would not open. then it happened to my instasize app. tried all of the troubleshooting methods, including force resetting the phone (resetting all the settings in an attempt to delete any junk or faulty data, without deleting apps) which still didn't fix the problem. i just continued to open and force close the app until it eventually worked. but when going back to personalize my phone settings again, i realized that now i can't configure my notification settings for my apps (instagram, snapchat, etc) so now i never know when people are contacting me. so far this is the most of my worries but i won't be surprised if i come across other problems. if you have any information on how to help me that's not just simply updating my apps, please help. thanks! | Help with corrupt videos (sound but picture is just a static grey screen) Posted: 06 May 2020 01:57 PM PDT Hello, I recorded a few videos on my iPhone - they were in landscape orientation, and recorded with the front (selfie) camera. The videos seemed to record fine - the record button showed that a video was being made, and I could see the video on the iPhone's screen as it recorded. But then, when I navigated to the video on my iPhone, it was just sound and a static grey screen (no picture). I've tried to open it in photos and a variety of Mac apps (like VLC and Handbrake), but either I only get audio with no picture or some variation of an error message that the file can't be opened. Has anyone else experienced this? Once I noticed the videos seemed to be corrupt, I recreated the error a few times - videos shot in landscape on the front camera turned out this way, while shot with the back cameras or in portrait mode worked fine. This isn't alwasy the case, though - sometimes I am able to record playable videos with the front camera in landscape mode. (I just provide this info in case it's helpful. I'm happy to record using the back camera going forward, but I would like to be able to get these existing corupted videos to play.) Thanks! [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 06 May 2020 03:37 PM PDT I just got my iPhone SE, and I noticed that when I put down the phone on a hard surface, it makes small rattle noise. In order to reproduce and find the source, I started gently tapping around the phone with my finger. Then I discovered that if I gently tap the backside near camera, I can reproduce the noise 100% of the time, and it sounds like the noise is coming from near where the camera is. It almost sounds like something is loose in there. :( Everything works fine, but I just wanted to see if other people have the same experience. Or it's just my phone. [link] [comments]  |

I don't think this is the same as a iCloud/Activation Lock bypass because it only applies to the passcode) I found my old iPhone Touch and wanted to see the photos and videos stored on it. Unfortunately the iPhone is a at least five years old and I have no idea what the passcode is. When I charged it it was in the middle of coming down from a 57 minute long lock because of guessing the passcode. I don't want to reset it or else i'll lose all the data on it. Any suggestions? Posted: 06 May 2020 11:59 AM PDT FTR - not an iphone user but I have one thru my work. iPhone 8, iOS 13.4.1, US Version I have Swiftkey installed and after a fresh reboot I can access my Blackberry app as normal. After a while, when the screen times out, if i try to access the BB app, I get a "Custom Keyboards Disabled" pop-up and the only way to get past that is another reboot. Not sure if this is a phone thing or a BB app thing (thats all I really use on this phone). I would love to keep using SwiftKey but if I can't get this resolved - i'll go back the stock keyboard (i just need to figure out how to do that!) thanks! [link] [comments]  |

Which line do you want to use?" It then gives me only one option, being "primary". I can't send group mms to any group with these people in it. I just bought this iPhone 11 Pro Max and it came with a new SIM card but with the same phone number and carrier. Could the issue be that I have two active SIM cards but in two different phones? I am unable to restore the contacts via iCloud sync and have tried data recovery software and neither have worked. However, in iMessage, I did have the alerts hidden and did not disable this. | Iphone 8 won’t recognize headphones Posted: 06 May 2020 09:01 AM PDT I have an ip8 running on ios 13.3 that doesn't recognize headphones plugged with the 3.5mm to Lightning adapter. I had an another adapter that broke like 2 months ago and until recently I wasn't able to buy a new adapter. Today I bought a new adapter and my phone doesn't recognize it although my ipad just works fine. I searched a bit and i found there is a thing called "loop diesease" that might be the problem but my mic just works fine and boot times are normal during these 2 months the device did not suffered any phsyical damage I have tried resetting settings and cleaning the port with no success What should I do? | Posted: 06 May 2020 07:42 AM PDT I've tried literally everything all the way to factory resetting the phone. No idea what caused it, just happened one day and has been like this ever since. I can answer calls but unless there is a bluetooth device connected like a headset or car, there is no sound coming in or going out. I've tested all the mics using the standard apps (videos, voice memos). Videos have no sound, and the voice memo app just straight up refuses to do anything when I press the record button. I'm guessing it's a hardware issue and the mic itself is dead? Another issue that recently popped up is that videos will only play sound. Any video on any website will play the sound but display a black screen. Is this related? [link] [comments]  |
