| Got dried toothpaste stuck onto my top speaker, HELP Posted: 17 Oct 2017 10:38 PM PDT So yesterday as I was brushing my teeth, I accidentally dropped some toothpaste right on top of the speaker, and I tired to wash it off immediately but it didn't really work. | Posted: 17 Oct 2017 10:29 PM PDT I'm trying to reset an iPhone SE to original factory settings for my Pre-Calculus teacher. Her father had died and she was left with a perfect condition iPhone SE Rose Gold. She couldn't get in to it because she doesn't have his pass code or fingerprint (obviously). She asked if there was a way I could just reset it to brand new for her. Me, being tech savy, said I could try. I restored it after entering DFU mode through iTunes. I then started going through the process of setting it up on the iPhone until it asked for me to sign in to the Apple account. Thus, a roadblock. Since neither I nor my teacher has access to his email, apple account, and any other sort of conformation for an Apple ID I cannot continue with the reset. What I'm wondering: is there a way to bypass this using some sort of program on my computer? Is there a way to unbind the iPhone from the apple account? I understand in sense, this is probably illegal. Yet, this would really help me in trying to do so. If anyone can provide me with some help or solutions on this, it would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to verify through whatever means that I am, in fact, not trying to steal someone's phone, but instead reset one so it can be used. [link] [comments]  |

I got booted from a game, and the YouTube video I was watching errored out. But then everything came back up except for my iPhone 6s. It's telling me that it can connect to my wi-fi network, but that there's "No Internet Connection." I've tried resetting my iPhone Network Settings, I've tried re-booting my router. | Emails sending from the wrong email address Posted: 17 Oct 2017 06:45 PM PDT Hi, When I go to compose an email on my iPhone 6, I can't change the 'from' section to my email address that is registered with the Apple ID. It just has some random iCloud emails to select from. When I go to 'Name, Phone Numbers, Email', the email I was it already under the 'contactable at' section. Yet my phone remains "full" despite literally nothing being on it. I have deleted all photos. I have reset my phone and restored it (that worked temporarily until the next day when it was full again). Like what in the crap? I am so angry. IPhone 6. Thanks Apple for having a mysterious hidden category of something that is eating all of my storage and giving me no way to know what it is or delete it and no way to expand my storage. I have checked my data on tracphone.com to make sure that I have it and I do. | Cannot enter my phone after updating Posted: 17 Oct 2017 03:21 PM PDT The past couple weeks I had been having an issue with my home button only occasionally opening my iphone 6s and at some point "occasionally" turned into "would not open." The touch id still worked but the physical act of pressing just does not register at all. The click is not sticky or stuck in any way, the pressing is just not being registered for some reason I thought, perchance this is a software issue, and proceeded to download the new ios11 update or whatever that big recent update was. After updating I got to the hello screen and encountered a major problem. To progress past the hello screen it is required to press the home button, something my phone is unable to do. Theres no ability to swipe or anything. I am stuck at the screen that says hello click home to unlock. After spending some time trying to get around this with nothing working (I cant hard reset the phone because the home button isnt registering) I read something about accessing voice options from the menu on itunes on my computer through my iphones connection there. I did not even have a chance to test this theory because an error message is repeatedly flashing any time I try to connect the phone to itunes saying that a passcode on my phone is required to connect my phone to itunes. well clearly I cant enter any passcode because of this hello screen in my way so there's no way at the moment to access my phone through itunes either. it appears I am stuck with no idea what to do next. any suggestions? | Outlook contacts synced with iPhone are reverting to old data. Posted: 17 Oct 2017 01:11 PM PDT Hello, I am trying to help a client with a problem he is facing syncing contacts with Outlook and iPhone. He uses the iTunes sync with the USB cable. The syncs are completing successfully, but whenever the sync completes, items that he just changed revert back to old data. This is rather infuriating as I am not even sure where it is pulling the data from. We edited the "notes" section of a contact and literally watched it revert in Outlook as the sync completed. I tried selecting the option to overwrite data on the iPhone during the next sync, but still am having the same issue. For some reason when I clink a youtube link like on reddit for example, it keeps opening the link in the actual browser instead of going to the app. driving me insane! any ideas? [link] [comments]  |

I'm trying to figure out if there's some reason or if this is a "factory restore and pray" kind of situation. I'm having 2 main problems. On my iPad, I play a lot of games. I like to take screenshots, and Photo Stream is an easy way to get those screenshots onto my PC so I can share them with my friends. But for the past few months, my iPad refuses to put screenshots in my Photo Stream. Also, oddly enough, it's got a "different" photo stream from the rest of my devices: it has pictures from years ago that aren't present in my phone's Photo Stream. Second: when I take a screenshot on either my iPhone or my iPad, then edit it with the screenshot editor, ONLY the original screenshot ends up in my Photo Stream. The edited screenshot is present in my Camera Roll, but it NEVER goes to the photo stream, as if it were marked with some kind of magic "don't share" bit. This is frustrating, because the edited screenshots are the ones I WANT to share. Has anyone seen issues like this and found solutions? [link] [comments]  |
