    🙄 Ah Shit, Here We Go Again. 🙄 Time for day 12 of the giveaways!

    Some things to note:

    • Why is there a day 12? Because some people didn't claim their prizes. So today we are giving away 42 on Reddit and 10 on Discord (See point 3)
    • I am aware you did not get your prize yet if you won on day 1-11. Once the Day 12 giveaway is over and all the winners are verified, then we will send the information over to the repos. This could take a week or so.
    • There will be 10 giveaways in our Discord server over the next 24 hours as well

    [Upcoming] Melted Crayons v1.4

    First of all, I want to thank everyone who has purchased a copy of Melted Crayons. Your support means the world to me.

    I know it's been a while since our last update. The coronavirus has upended life here in downstate New York. My job has been closed for approximately six weeks now, and I have had to put all of my time and energy into figuring out ways to make money so I can pay my bills. My student loan bill is over $500/month by itself, and without steady work, I've had to pour myself into odd jobs to make ends meet. This means I haven't had much time (or energy) to work on Melted Crayons on a consistent basis lately; the best I've been able to do is a half hour here and there. Persistence has paid off, and I am excited to show you what kind of changes are in store.

    So, what's coming in Melted Crayons v1.4?

    1. The Melted Crayons code base has migrated to Swift! There's no doubt that Objective-C is still the most popular language for developing tweaks, but it is nowhere near as powerful or as expressive as Swift when you're creating new content. And that's what Melted Crayons strives to be: a bold and unmatched supplement to your iOS experience, not another $2.99 tweak that only changes a few colors.

    2. All Melted Crayons user interfaces are now written in SwiftUI, allowing for immediate, reactive changes in your iOS environment.

    3. The inter- and intra-process "business logic" that occurs behind-the-scenes is now written using the Combine framework. Combine allows developers to write code that processes values over time via a network of publishers and subscribers by leveraging operators. In other words, no more janky timers running in the background constantly checking and updating globals: we're all-in on reactive, smell-free code.

    4. We've added a Style Sheet to the controls view, allowing you to quickly modify the tint, blur, and vibrancy of the visualizer, see changes in real-time, and customize each song to your liking, all without leaving the app. Best of all, Melted Crayons will remember your choices, so now you can have a bright, vibrant mood for Gore by Deftones, and a dark, grayscale one for Ordinary Man by Ozzy.     5. We have a free trial option coming soon! Try out Melted Crayons for three days for free before you commit to purchasing.     6. Debug logs are now collected internally and can be attached to bug reports to help diagnose some of the peskier bugs. Additionally, a new debug area has been added where you can see the exact state of many of the Melted Crayons variables, as well as a place to forward debug logs to me.

    7. Did someone say "lock screen support"? 👀

    Regarding ColorFlow 5 support, unfortunately it's not ready. I've tried my best to work around it, but there's one "collision" in the code between CF5 and MC that I simply cannot get past due to the way it's implemented. I've reached out to the developer on Twitter and we've sporadically chatted over the last few months, but I wasn't able to make headway regarding my specific issue. I'm still more than willing to support CF5, but I've reached a dead-end that's completely impassable on my own.

    Lastly, I will be launching a poll relatively soon. I want to hear what feature you'd like to see next. I will most likely make the poll accessible from the Melted Crayons debug area so you won't have to even leave the Music or Spotify app to participate. More info soon.

    Today I am releasing InstaLauncher 2, a "sequel" tweak to InstaLauncher 1, one of the longer living tweaks there is today, I assume. Still receiving updates 6 years later.

    The classic launcher, first appearing in InstaLauncher have gotten a facelift. It is smoother to activate, doesn't take up all the screen anymore. I've had a couple of attempts throughout the years to make InstaLauncher smoother to invoke. With the recent Activator-not-getting-updated for iOS 13 I gave it another shot (only to have Activator rise from the dead just as I started..).

    I always wanted to make new styles for InstaLauncher, however as the codebase is so old it was very hard to make any changes. In InstaLauncher 2 I've made dynamic launcher styles a top priority, so adding new launchers will be easy. If you have requests, you can let me know.

    The drawer launcher is actually a mix between IL and another separate tweak I was building on for quite some time, which featured a fullscreen app drawer launcher capable of displaying anything from plugins. I also wanted to make IL2 a big step from IL1, so I merged them together to make this launcher. I made it show an alphabetized list to keep the spirit of InstaLauncher, since it was build with ABC as a core feature.

    A lot of users of InstaLauncher are themers. Many emails I get are about styles and it shows up on /r/iOSThemes very often. Therefore I wanted to make sure it can be themed 100%.

    InstaLauncher was "dark mode" before it was cool, in fact it only got a "light mode" a couple of years into its life. But anyway, the settings panel (which is pretty cool) is dark mode compatible.

    **Disclaimer: I cannot even begin to understand the inner workings of iOS, I am just sharing what has helped me in the past. If any developers would like to comment, I will amend my post.

    Why does this happen: I don't know, and it could be due to a multitude of reasons. I believe in my specific case the software controlling the creation of APFS snapshots went haywire filling up my storage. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    This post will be formatted in such a way that higher numbers have larger consequences; GO DOWN THE LIST IN ORDER. IF THE FIRST OPTION DOES NOT WORK, TRY THE NEXT.

    ​

    1. Check to see if you have any var snapshots in [[Snapback]]. The first time other filled my storage, I had just created a ridiculous amount of snapshots. Think of a var snapshot as a backup of everything on your phone. Too many will fill your phone very quickly.
    2. Try iCleaner or iCleaner Pro hosted on https://ib-soft.net/cydia. This program seemingly uses black magic to fix many such issues. It is always a go-to.
    3. Install [[DiskProbe]], or use the terminal command "su root", then enter your password, the default is "alpine", then "cd /", then "find / -printf '%s %p\n'| sort -nr | head -10" to find large files that may be taking up space. BE CAREFUL TO NOT DELETE SYSTEM FILES.
    4. Restore RootFS through Unc0ver, Snapback, Checkra1n, or install [[Snappy]] and run the terminal command "snappy -f / -r orig-fs -x".
    5. Install [[Succession]] and restore. This will act like a complete restore but will not force you to update to the latest iOS. The issue with Succession is it needs roughly 4-6 GB of free space to download an IPSW. I personally would stay away from restoring from a backup afterword however, I believe restoring from an iCloud backup might be okay. If you do not have enough space, proceed to the next option.
    6. I did not have enough space to run Succession so this is what I did. First, restore RootFS through Unc0ver, Snapback, Checkra1n, or install Snappy and run the terminal command "snappy -f / -r orig-fs -x". Then head into "Settings", "General", "Reset", and "Erase All Content and Settings". ONLY DO THIS AFTER YOU HAVE RESTORED ROOTFS. Let it do its thing, and set the phone up, but don't worry about restoring your personal files. Your space issue should be solved, however, don't just end here. Reinstall your jailbreaking utility and jailbreak your phone, install Succession and let it wipe your phone again. After that, you should be all good to set your phone up, rejailbreak, and go on with your life! Once again, I would stay away from restoring from a backup but your milage may vary.
    7. This is the last option and the most severe one. Restore your phone through iTunes, or Finder on macOS Catalina and above. YOU WILL BE FORCED TO UPDATE TO THE NEWEST VERSION OF IOS, AND LOOSE YOUR JAILBREAK!

    I'm incredibly excited to announce ControlWidget, a new tweak that lets you have a widget in your control center to have important information right next to your controls.

    The tweak works with CCSupport by u/opa334 and you can put the widget everywhere in the control center.

    Prysm is not supported in this release but is planned for a future release.

    Edit: The tweak is only tested on iOS 13+ but it should work on iOS 11+

    Edit 2: ControlWidget now supports light and dark mode. Toggle it in the tweak settings (dark is the new default)

    [Tutorial] How To Get Sileo On Unc0ver... With Pictures

    Yup, I know this tutorial was posted a long time ago and I'm pretty much just copying it, but I see a lot of people confused about just that ONE thing with this method, or people who are too scared of doing it without having their hands held, and so this is for this people.

    Prerequisites

    Make sure you have downloaded all pending updates from https://apt.bingner.com/

    Get Filza from https://tigisoftware.com/cydia/

    Optional: get Safari Plus from http://apt.thebigboss.org/repofiles/cydia/ so you can download files directly to Filza from Safari

    Download These files

    Optional: NewTerm from https://repo.chariz.com/ and OpenSSH from https://apt.bingner.com/ so you can run terminal commands (some steps that can be done through Filza can also be done through Terminal should you prefer it)

    Tutorial

    Step 1. In Cydia, add the repo https://repo.getsileo.app/ IGNORE ANY UPDATES THAT POP UP IN THE CHANGES TAB AFTER YOU DO THIS

    Step 2. Install the package "Sileo Prep (Checkra1n)" from within the repo

    Step 3. You may see a prompt saying essential packages need to be updated once you do this. Ignore this prompt and install the "Sileo" package along with all it's dependencies (make sure "Link Identity Editor" and "Sileo Safe Mode (Checkra1n/Substrate)" have not been added to the queue)

    Step 4. Close out of Cydia. Once you do this, you may notice both the facts Sileo is on your homescreen and Cydia cannot be opened. Don't worry, this is completely normal. If you want to keep Cydia alongside Sileo, go into Sileo, search for "Cydia Installer" and install what comes up, but if you want to fully replace Cydia with Sileo, simply run uicache through Terminal to remove the Cydia icon

    Step 5. Okay, here's where things get a bit complicated. Open Filza, and put the "Sileo Support" folder you installed earlier in one tab, and go to /usr/bin/ in the other

    Step 6. In the tab that shows /usr/bin/ on it, search for a file named "apt-get" once you find it, rename it to "apt-get-real"

    Step 7. Go to the other tab, copy the "apt-get" file that's inside there, and paste it inside the /usr/bin/ tab.

    Step 8. Now, select the i icon on "apt-get" scroll down, and select "sticky" then change "Mask" number to 0755 (or you can run the command "chmod 755 apt-get" in a terminal should you prefer that)

    Step 9. Ok! Now that you've done all that, the final step that remains is for you to go back to the "Sileo Support" tab, tap on the other file that's there, (the us.diatr.sileorespring.deb file) and tap "install" then just wait around 20 seconds, and hit the respring button.

    Step 10. So you are now done! How does it feel? Now as a post installation step for those interested, you might notice that when you open Sileo, the getsileo repo is still there. Don't worry! In order to remove it, reopen Filza, go to /Library/dpkg/info/ search for the file "org.coolstar.sileo.postinst" and remove it. Then go to /etc/apt/sileo.list.d/ open the "sileo-base.sources" file with text editor and remove the 4 lines for the getsileo repo. Now enjoy Sileo, and have a nice day!

    [Tutorial] (Unc0ver/Checkra1n) Compile a project from GitHub to a .deb using Theos & iTheosMaker

    A couple hours ago I tried to find a place to install SamsungPowerDown, but the source was gone and nobody seemed to have a .deb of it lying around. Somehow I managed to find the project on GitHub.

    I wasted way too much time figuring this out... Enjoy :)

    1. Add Jake's Cydia Repo (https://jakeashacks.net/cydia/) and install Theos Installer 2 (Unc0ver & Cydia)

    2. Install NewTerm from Chariz Repo

    3. Follow the official guide to set up Theos. Run the command lines in NewTerm.

    When you get to step 5 of the Theos guide, do not put those lines of code into NewTerm. The unzip will cause NewTerm to crash. Instead, download the sdks-master.zip and open it in Filza. Unzip the file by tapping on it, open the unzipped folder, and choose one of the 3 .sdk folders (11.3 worked for me) and paste it to /var/theos/sdks. Then continue with the rest of the setup guide.

    1. Install iTheosMaker from Packix Repo

    2. Find the project to compile on GitHub. It can be from another source too as long as it has the files named "control", "tweak.x", "tweakname.plist", and "Makefile" (sometimes a project will have more files and folders, so just download everything in the project as a zip file, extract it, and copy it to /var/iTheosPro/Projects/. Don't just dump everything there. Make a folder with the tweak name here and copy the files inside. iTheosMaker will handle the rest)

    3. Open iTheosMaker. Click the middle icon at the top to load a project, then click on the name of the folder you created in step 6

    4. At the bottom, click on the Builder tab and click "Make Package install". If all goes well, you should see a pop-up with an option to go to open the folder where the compiled .deb is (in my case, I had a bunch of different debs since the project included every version of the tweak since the initial release. Just find the latest update, usually at the bottom, and install it)

    Done!

    Let me know if I made a typo or missed a step

    Edit: SamsungPowerDown for anyone interested (apparently I had it saved with batchomatic and didn't think to check for it...)

    [HELP] Creating an image of jailbroken XR using dd

    So I need some help from any linux gurus right now. I have deleted images and videos on my phone that I am trying to recover. Im running an iPhone XR on 13.3 jailbroken with Unc0ver.

    My initial plan was to SSH into the phone as root and create a disk image of the partition that holds all the media and everything this way I would have a byte for byte exact copy so if any of the data is still there I would be able to recover it using Autopsy.

    My command was:

    ssh root@192.168.1.6 "dd if=/dev/disk0s1s2 | gzip -1 -" | dd of=phone.img.gz

    This way I could copy the image back to my host machine instead of storing it on the iPhone. The reason I chose /dev/disk0s1s2 is because if you run `df -h` I get returned 

    /dev/disk0s1s2 60Gi 42Gi 12Gi 79% 443216 624351544 0% /private/var

    as one of the lines. The files I am looking to forensically analyze are in 

    /private/var/mobile/Media/DCIM

    When I ran the above command I was returned 

    dd: failed to open '/dev/disk0s1s2': Operation not permitted

    and upon researching using dd on a mounted drive seems like it is likely to corrupt some stuff. Any ideas on how to go about doing this?

    When I open Spotify it closes after about 1-2 seconds and it's only when I use colorflow 4 I also use mitsuha forever so it could be conflicting. Anyway I just wanna know if there is a fix for this thanks.
