Posted: 06 May 2020 12:31 PM PDT I ordered a new pair of AirPod Pros but couldn't get them to pass the fit test (unlike my wife's pair that fits perfectly). After a few days I decided to return them (hoping to simply exchange for another pair hoping they'd fit), so I packaged them up and dropped off at the FedEx store on Thu 4/23. I was a little ancy as I only had my backup pair of old AirPods (which barely work), so I kept checking FedEx's tracking and noticed that my package wasn't picked up at the store for another 4 days, Mon 4/27. I should also note that unlike 99.9% of the time when I return something via FedEx or UPS, you can track each stop... but this order never did that. It finally showed delivered on May 1 to Apple. I've been in contact w/ Apple support via chat, email, and phone. They're claiming I sent back an old pair of Earpods, not the Airpod Pros I purchased. This is CRAZY. At first I thought the shipping delay was due to COVID-19, but now I'm worried that someone at the FedEx store may have tampered w/ package. Apple is escalating and I just filed a claim w/ FedEx, but this is an absolute clusterfuck. Any advice, suggestions??? UPDATE: Apple is sending me a new pair... but the confusion seems to be that the FedEx tracking number somehow changed. Doesn't make sense to me, but I'm happy to get my stuff! [link] [comments]  |

Inside: Intel i5 2,66 ghz, 4 gb 1067 mhz DDR3, graphic AMD RADEON hd 6750m. The seller is asking for €400. I would like to use it to record and play music ( Logic - Pro tools) but I'm scared that the hardware is too old. I thought it can be a good idea to increase Ram to 16 gb ( is the maximum?) And maybe to put an SSD hard disk ( how much space I need?) Do you think i will able to use the iMac without problems? It will be performing for others 5 years or more? The price is good? | MacBook repair in less than 24hrs Posted: 06 May 2020 11:58 PM PDT I mailed my MacBook to Apple for repair yesterday. I checked the status today and they've already received it, marked as repaired, and mailed it back. Any idea what might have happened? I didn't get an email claiming "out of warranty" nor did I get one stating that they didn't "see any damage" .. hell, I didn't even get an invoice and I know for a fact I do not have Apple Care. Thoughts? Note: MacBook Pro 15" (2016) Issue was, MBP would only occasionally boot (1/100 times). Looks like Kernal Panic but likely hardware failure. [link] [comments]  |

Since then, my phone hasn't turned back on.. i keep getting the apple logo on the loading screen, but nothing further. i've tried the force restart (quick press each volume buttons and hold the lock button) but nothing and I've connected it to my iMac and its not being recognised as its not technically turned on yet? any help would be apprecaited [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 06 May 2020 10:41 PM PDT 2017/2018 Keyboard Replacement So I've done a little research and can't really find an answer, but with the 2017/2018 MacBook Pro 15, when going through the replacement program, obviously they won't put the new 16 inch magic keyboard in, but my question is will they replace it with the latest butterfly keyboard (aka 2019 keyboard) or will they just use that MacBooks current keyboard? | iPhone 11 Pro - 6% in 3months! Posted: 06 May 2020 10:17 PM PDT So, I've been using my iPhone 11 Pro since this February. And just yesterday, happened to check battery capacity (battery health) and it's already on 94% 🤯 dayam! It was on full 100% when I bought it... but man this is crazy (I meant 6% drop in 3months). Been charging it via official charger (fast charger that comes in the box). I know that battery health can't be restored... Any suggestions? Wanna use this device for long run... This is my primary phone and I use this with dual sim mode, LTE/WiFi 24/7 connected. Continuously connected to my Apple Watch... Gaming... Cam... Social media... Usually charge it once in a 24 hour time or rarely twice... Though the battery is quite powerful and gives very good battery time yet this big drain ov 6%, this kills man.. I hope you guys can understand...

| Late 2018 MacBook Air has spotty, bad Bluetooth after service Posted: 06 May 2020 10:10 PM PDT I brought my Macbook Air in to receive service for an unrelated issue with an authorized service provider. The part where the hinge meets the screen got cracked and the screen wasn't working. Anyways, when I got it back, I noticed the Bluetooth has barely any range and will sometimes even be spotty when I am right in front of the laptop. It is not the audio devices I am using, as I tested them with an iPhone and they easily got 50ft + of range through a wall, whereas my laptop can barely get 5ft sometimes. I contacted Apple, and they want me to bring it back and have them the servicers look at it, but I do not know how long that will take and I need it very badly with my AP tests coming up. I tried, restarting, Bluetooth debug, SMC reset. I am on 10.14.6 Any advice would be lovely. Thanks! [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 06 May 2020 09:33 PM PDT So my mom let me borrow her airpods until I can get another wireless pair. The other day I put them in and the music was blasting I had the volume at like 15 and I couldn't hear any noise outside the music it was awesome. I put them back in the case to charge for a few and when I put them back in my ears I could barely hear the music even at 100 volume. I haven't figured out a way to turn up the volume how it was that one time. I've tried the lowering the volume and disconnecting them trick I've tried repairing them. I've tried cleaning them. I have no idea how to set it where the music is blasting again. Any ideas? [link] [comments]  |

| Trying to delete and sell my Mac but says a required download is missing Posted: 06 May 2020 09:26 PM PDT I am having major problems. I am trying to sell two Apple iMac 2011 models... I am not trying to sell them here...I need support....I deleted the information and did the "what to do when you sell your Apple" steps. I thought everything was fine. I sold one today and the guy brings it home and he says gets an error message that states "a required download is missing". I go to turn the other computer on to double check it and I get the same error. I was on the phone with Apple for 4 hours. We went into terminal and tried to change the dates to see if it would install El Capitan or later. Nothing. They said I can try creating a bootable installer....idk what to do if this doesn't work! Posted: 06 May 2020 09:08 PM PDT Whenever a new file is made/downloaded, MacOS makes a duplicate file that's 4kb large that has the same name but with a ._ at the beginning, for example, ._Song.mp3 for Song.mp3. I don't know the function of these files, but I assume it's what makes spotlight and finder find these files so fast compared to Windows' search system. Speaking of which, MacOS can't seem to show these files even with CMD+SHIFT+Period, but Windows can. On top of that, it also appears to show folders called:
Is there a way to only set it so thati it does not create these files and folders in storage drives? Or is this something that can't be disabled? It kinda gets annoying having to delete the ._ files everytime on my MP3/MP4 player. [link] [comments]  |
| Certain Apps on APP store not loading on Iphone 8 plus? Posted: 06 May 2020 03:08 PM PDT Alright, so I'm trying to get Nintendo Switch Online app, and Hulu for my girlfriend. Both of these apps I know are on the app store, and if I do a google search on the iphone, it finds the app, but whenever I try to click 'install' on the app all I get is a blank WHITE screen. I tried searching for the app in the 'itunes store' app and it says that it can't connect to itunes store. Which doesn't make sense since apple's status page says that it's working and I can download other itunes store apps, just not the ones I specifically want. I've never been able to not find an app, I've tried resetting network settings, turning off and on, force restarting, even wiped the phone clean and restored from a backup. Does anybody know what's going on? She is using Cricket and an Iphone 8 plus. Only thing I can figure is that somehow she's not connecting to a certain part of the itunes store which seems weird... | MacBook Air 2020 vs MacBook Pro 2020 Posted: 06 May 2020 08:57 PM PDT Hi, I'm considering between the two new MacBooks released this year; the Air and the base model of the Pro. I understand that most of the hardware and software are similar. The only thing I am unsure about are the difference in processors. I don't know about the difference between 8th and 10th gen and clock speeds and how they relate to performance. Some help in deciding will be most appreciated A little background. I'm a medical student, so there's no requirement for intense programs needing to be run. However I do tend to have multiple tabs open when studying. Other than that, i use it mostly for streaming and other basic needs. However, I'm also considering future proofing my laptop for when if I do decide to develop hobbies (I'm considering photography so I might eventually use something like lightroom) or if I take on research that may require a bit more processing power (gene editing and other such programs) I'm leaning towards the pro despite an older processor but I would like to hear some opinions on this [link] [comments]  |
