Messenger app issue (draining battery) Posted: 05 May 2020 08:21 AM PDT Hi everyone! I have an iPhone X and the latest version of iOS - 13.4.1. I write here because I have a problem with the Messeneger application. This happened after recent Messenger application updates. At first, after relaunching the application, it works ok, and a few minutes later the phone heats up and loses the battery very quickly. I don't know what is caused. Siri activates when earphones plugged in Posted: 05 May 2020 09:46 AM PDT Since yesterday, my earphones, when plugged in with the lightning to jack adaptor, activate Siri and the microphone does not work. It happens on my iPhone 11 Pro Max and my iPad Air. Normal Apple earphones work, and my earphones work when plugged into the jack directly on my iPad Air. Any suggestions to get airdrop working? Posted: 04 May 2020 11:03 PM PDT My internet is down so I'm trying to send a couple files I need to review from my iPhone to my WiFi only iPad. My iPad showed up but nothing happened when I selected it. I changed the name of my iPad but it didn't change the name listed on my phone. Resetting my network settings on my iPad temporarily helped last night but now I have the same issue and had to do it again. And when I change it it shows up just as "iPad", not what I've named it. My airdrop is on and set to Everyone on both devices, even though they're both using my Apple ID. Bluetooth and WiFi are on on both devices. My iPad can see my Apple Pencil and my keyboard. I've tried toggling Bluetooth on and off as well as doing a hard reset. As far as I know, I have the latest iPad OS update. It seems to be primarily an issue with the iPad, since my iPhone and MBP can see each other. I have a 6th Gen 9.5 iPad. When I go to network settings it's also now showing me the subscriber services that's supposed to only be for cellular devices. I looked it up and saw someone say it was just a bug and shouldn't affect anything. I have a VPN installed on both devices but also toggled that on and off and it did not help. I've been able to transfer files with the VPN before. My phone also does not show up as an available hotspot on my iPad, but it does on the Mac. This is the case even after resetting network settings. I know this worked as recently as the 23rd of April. Yesterday my devices saw each other to share network passwords but don't today, although I think that might have to do with me resetting network settings on my iPhone as well tonight, and since my internet is down my iPhone hasn't fully connected to the WiFi. I'm not sure what else to try. I have to take notes on a document, and it's much easier to do on my iPad. Is it just me or is True Tone kinda annoying Posted: 05 May 2020 08:08 AM PDT I understand the usefulness of the feature but it changes the colour of the screen and I don't really see why it rly exists. How to stop losing cookies? Posted: 05 May 2020 01:20 AM PDT I have two-factor verification enabled on Amazon. Unfortunately, on my iPad Mini 5 (updated to the latest and the greatest) Safari keeps 'losing' the cookie? Or something else? When I log in, it works for a day or two, then it logs me out. What is worse, even though I tick the box 'Don't require OTP on this browser' it's still asking me the code again.
