    Can apple unlock the 8th core in the ipad pro (2018) if they feel the need its necessary for performance in the future?

    I have a ipad pro (2018) with the A12x and i know that it has 8 gpu cores but only utilizes 7 and in the ipad pro (2020) its the same chip but does utilize the the full 8 cores.

    If anyone can help/speculate, It would be greatly appreciated! Thank You 🙏🏾

    Trying to back up iPhone on to external HD.

    I have created the symlink, when I click the link in the original folder it takes me to my external HD (MDOHD) just like its supposed to. But when I back up my iPhone it only shows backed up on the symlink, when I go to the external HD it did not update?

    I moved my "Backup" folder to MDOHD at 3:57 today.

    I backed up my iPhone at 6:50pm today, but it is only showing that in the original location folder in the symlink "Backup".

    Any advice would be appreciated!! Sorry if this is confusing...

    Macbook 2016 unresponsive and black screen, keyboard is not lit up.

    My mac continuously crashes every time i opened it within 20 seconds and then on the 4th or 5th time the screen went completely black and they keyboard is not lit, however the touchpad is still functioning, I shut it down and opened it to the same issue and the mac is also very hot all of the time

    My speakers are crackling and playing like half speed when connected to my mac mini

    I can unplug my HDMI and it sort of fixes this temporarily but I have no idea why my mac is doing this. The same effect happens with headphones through my mac mini as well. Has anyone else experienced this?

    What's the point of iCloud drive.

    What's even the point of iCloud drive if I pay for 2TB a month and it's just going to be stuck in a forever "uploading 17.97 of 62.61 GB" and a "downloading 134.2 of 3.10 GB" state without any explanation? This is pretty enraging.

    GUYS HELP!!! I recently portioned some space to my windows 10 boot camp and now as you can see I can’t find my Mac OS option! I used Mini tool partition wizard to do this so I can have more space on windows but I don’t have my Mac anymore someone please help I don’t want to lost my Mac!

    TLDR: Title

    Phone: iPhone 6s

    iOS version: 13.4.1 not newly updated. I've been using it for sometime without any issues.

    Additional info: I have had the homebutton replaced (third part. Touch id doesn't work). But this was aleast a year ago.

    Long version: I restarted my iPhone 6s suddenly most of my apps stopped working. I tried restarting again. I went into settings and tried to perform a factory reset and it would crash whenever I pressed it. Giving up, I tried to restore it using iTunes on my windows laptop. It downloaded the OS (3.5gb. took me 2-3 hours) and then said that something went wrong (don't remember exactly what the error was). I hit try again expecting it to try again but noooo, it tried to download the OS again. So I had no other options left and decided to try the settings option and again and boom it worked. I waited about 15 mins for it to reset and tried to log back on. But the setup kept crashing. I finally booted into the OS and the problem didn't seem to go away.

    My phone app, messages app, compass app, measure app (only the AR part), maps app, apple tv app and some other apps are not working. I haven't downloaded more apps after resetting because AppStore keeps crashing. Sometimes, a particular app starts working and another stops.

    By not working I mean: App opens, blank screen with bottom and top bars, app crashes. I don't think a photo would help.

    Any help? iTunes takes a long time to download the OS and when it's downloading, all my other network activity slows. I do not have any apple stores (official) near me.

    Please excuse my English. I'm frustrated and not a native speaker.

    Audio but black screen on videos

    Hi! So, I upgraded my phone to an iPhone 11 Pro a few weeks ago. I am having issues with the WiFi connectivity. I connected to home WiFi, and it shows that I'm connected, but the WiFi doesn't actually work. The only two things I'm able to do on WiFi is watch YouTube videos, and I can search something on Safari but once I attempt to open the link, the page never loads. I didn't have this issue with my old iPhone, it just occurred when I switched phones.

    The odd thing is, I don't have this issue with other WiFi networks, I'm able to use my WiFi at work just fine. So, I have no clue what the issue could be.

    Liquid Damage to a Macbook Air 2016- Is there hope?

    On Wednesday (the 13th) I spilled carbonated water on my macbook, near the hinge and the top of the keyboard. It immediately shut off and I tried to get as much out as I could, cleaned it up, and put it in an upside down V formation over night. The next afternoon, I turned it on by holding down shift-control-option and power for ten seconds; it turned back on not long after that but it didn't register the trackpad or the keyboard. Then, maybe 5 minutes later, I tried to turn it off to go to work and the trackpad and keyboard were working. To be safe, I turned it off and put it back in the upside down V while I worked overnight and didn't try it again until a few hours ago. I had a real hard time starting it up; it seemed like it shut off a few times or at least the screen went dark. It's now not recognizing the trackpad and keyboard again. I'm pretty much tech illiterate as far as fixing things goes but I absolutely need my computer and money is kind of tight. Is there anything I can do to save it before sending it to the macbook heaven in the sky?

    Edit: Just noticed that it shuts down every time that I close the lid and it never raises above 1% charge which can't be a good sign

    iPhone 7 Microphone Issues

    So long story short I was on iOS 12.4.1 a week ago when I noticed my microphone had stopped working, So I upgrade to 13.4.1 big mistake as it turns out wifi and video playback on safari stopped working too once I updated, so I upgrade to 13.5 (beta) and the WiFi and video playback issues go away, still microphone during this whole time not working. Soooo, I went to a local iPhone repair shop and payed 80$ to have my charging dock replaced which I was told was where the microphone was. I get my phone back from being in the shop for 2 days and boom microphone works well, until hours later it starts to not work again. Currently I'm on 13.5 and my microphone doesn't work even after having the hardware replaced. Do you guys think it's a software issue at this point? Mind you the microphone did stop working when I was at 12.4.1 which led me to update in the first place. But after replacing it you'd think it'd work?? Any input or advice would be appreciated, definitely the worst time to have a phone fuck up during the pandemic 😭

    location accuracy won’t correct itself

    so, for the past two months, i cannot get my location to pinpoint accurately for the life of me. i've tried, literally, everything: • set date & time to automatic • restarted phone • toggled cellular data, location services, wifi, bluetooth, etc. you name it, ive done it.

    someone please tell me how to fix this! my phone currently updated to the 12.4.6 as of today, if that helps at all.

    Best Ways to Protect a 2020 MacBook Air?

    Can't View New Terms and Conditions to Accept Them

    I recently updated my MacBook Air to Catalina, and after I did so my computer told me there were new Terms and Conditions that I needed to agree to in order to be able to access iCloud from my computer. So I click on the button provided that says "Terms and Conditions" and it pulls up a smaller notification within the bigger window with yet another button that says "Terms and Conditions", which I click on. Then, the new window disappears and I get a brief loading spiral-thing, then that goes away and nothing has changed.

    The original "Terms and Conditions" button is still there and if I click on it the same thing happens over and over again without me ever actually getting to see or agree to the new Terms and Conditions.

    It notifies me of the need to agree to them every time I log into my computer, and then about once every hour after that. It's infuriating. Please help.

    I recently been having problems with my iPhone having super slow internet connection and I tried turning off my router, resetting the network and forgetting the network on my iPhone but nothing seems to be working.

    I did a speed test on other phones in the household and every one of them is easily over 100mbps but unfortunately mine is stuck under 1mbps.

    As I mentioned before, I tried resetting my network but nothing seems to be working. I wanted to know if you have the solution to my problem before I go and do a full reboot. And also, I have installed the latest update today and no changes.

    I am trying to connect an iMac (27-inch, Late 2012) as an external screen on my iMac (Retina 5k, 27-inch, Late 2015).

    Without reading anything, I bought a Mini Displayport to Mini Displayport cable, and CMD+F2 does nothing when they are connected. I was going to buy a thunderbolt cable from apple, but I just want to double-check with you guys to see if that is even possible.

    I saw in the documentation that Retina displays after 2014 are not capable of being external displays, but what about the other way around? Will the 2012 work as an external monitor for my 2015 if I get a thunderbolt 2 cable?

    Iphone X Apple Logo Loop
