    It has been a long time coming but it is finally here! Zebra Version 1.0! 🎉

    Zebra (formerly AUPM) is a Package Manager for Jailbroken iOS devices running iOS 9 through iOS 13. It was built from the ground up with speed/efficiency in mind and even at the 1.0 release we are still working on ways of making it even faster. Did I mention that it is fully open source as well?

    A huge aspect of making Zebra was the community surrounding it. People from across the jailbreak community have been contributing to Zebra in one way or another. Whether it be commits to the project itself, filing bug reports or feature requests, beta testing, translating strings, or creating alternate icons. Everyone's contribution to Zebra over the past year is appreciated. Personally, I don't know if I've seen such a big community driven event in the jailbreak community history before and I think it is truly wonderful for Zebra to step aside from (most :/) drama and focus on creating something new.

    We've still got a long way to go. I accept feature requests on GitHub and through Discord and the vast majority of the 60 issues (at the time of writing this) are feature requests (a pretty huge backlog). To combat the overwhelming number of requests and the feeling that I'd never get out of beta if I completed them all, I made 1.0 "feature complete" a few betas back and only focused on bugs that were reported. I've already planned additions and more fixes for 1.0.1, 1.1, and 1.2 so that we have a good roadmap for the future and these will be created into a GitHub Milestone once we get around to it. Any 1.0.x updates are going to be small bug fixes and possible new features that are needed but 1.1 will hopefully cover most of the feature requests that have been added so far. 1.2 will be the major redesign that Andrew and I have been working on for awhile with more feature requests added as part of the redesign. Betas for 1.1 will be available on our beta repo at https://getzbra.com/beta when they're ready but there will not be any betas for 1.0.x releases.

    I'd like to thank every single person who beta tested Zebra or AUPM over these past 2 years, it has been a long ride but I still cannot believe that I'm writing this post right now for the 1.0 release of Zebra. Our journey is not yet over though, I am sure that 1.0 will bring upon some new issues that will need to be fixed as of 1.0.1 and as I mentioned above I have a whole backlog of feature requests for 1.1 and onward.

    And lastly, just to reiterate, we may be out of beta but that does not mean that we are bug-free. We still greatly appreciate your feedback on bugs and feature requests over on our GitHub at https://github.com/wstyres/Zebra.

    [Release] Frame v1.0.0 - Video Wallpaper for iOS

    Greetings

    Hi all, this is my first time creating & releasing a tweak!

    Though I could only test it on my iOS 13.2 iPhone X, it should theoretically work across iOS 10+ and on all arm64 & arm64e devices. Please do feedback if it's buggy on your device.

    About

    Desktop and even Android users have long been able to enjoy video wallpapers on their home screens.

    Frame brings this long-overdue feature to iOS, where you can set your favourite video as the wallpaper effortlessly.

    ​

    Setup

    1. Install

    2. Settings > Frame > Choose Video

    3. Enjoy!

    To prevent glitches, go to stock wallpaper settings > choose any DYNAMIC wallpaper > select SET BOTH.

    Compatibility

    iOS 13+ iPhones should run fine.

    iPads and older versions of iOS (>=10.0) should be able to run Frame as well, though I cannot test them personally.

    ​

    Performance

    The tweak itself brings little performance penalty when active, though dynamic wallpaper consumes quite some system resources due to its gyro-meter usage.

    To reduce resource consumption, the tweak would disable animations of dynamic wallpapers.

    Enabling "Pause in Apps" (true by default) eliminates any performance penalty when using other apps.

    Known Issues

    Not all wallpaper views are overlayed if the stock wallpaper is not configured correctly as per Setup above.

    [Request] Heads Up Display Mode for iOS 13

    Heads up display mode used to be a very cool and useful tweak that I'd love to be able to use again. It's still listed on Cydia but doesn't seem to work. Basically, the tweak would switch your display to a mirrored image so that it could be used in the reflection of your windshield. This allowed for a very cool HUD that could utilize any app. Thoughts?

    Suddenly SERIOUS Battery Drain on Unc0ver

    I have an iphone 6 which I jailbroke with unc0ver ios 12.4 in about July. It was working great until this week, when suddenly my iphone battery started plummeting. Suddenly it goes from 100 to 1 (it skips numbers by going 100-97-91-86-83-79…..) in less than 30 Minutes. My battery doesn't even last for one day when I don't use it at all. I've done lots of research and tried every solution on reddit and the internet and nothing works. What's really weird is that usually people who have a similar problem have some background processes of some sort heating up the phone, but for some reason, my phone never gets hot, and it's always room temp. Please can someone help me cuz I can't even use my phone to call ppl in emergencies now bc my phone's always dead.

    [Request]Allow iPhone without SIM to function as iPad in Messages.app for SMS text messages

    Using the same iCloud account of an iPhone with a SIM card allows an iPhone without a SIM card and an iPad to receive its SMS text messages through wifi (i.e. text message forwarding). See: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208386

    I can receive and respond to SMS text messages on my iPad (wifi connected, no cellular). I cannot respond to SMS text messages on my iPhone without a simcard (wifi connected, no cellular), I can only receive SMS text messages. All my Apple devices are on iOS 13.3 and share the same iCloud account.

    There is no issue with iMessage (can send and receive on all devices).

    Is there a tweak that can allow responding to SMS text messages on my iPhone without a simcard, just like my iPad does?

    [Tip] If you change your resolution on iOS 12 with System Info, and your phone restarts, simply run Chaeckra1n again from recovery mode to boot your device

    /u/ARM64-darwin1820 created a wonderfully clever method to reintroduce the files needed to change resolution on your phone with he help of the newest [[System Info]].

    If you are using this on a checkra1n jailbreak and your phone reboots or hard resets, simply plug your now bootlooping phone into your computer, enter recovery mode so that the "connect to itunes" image appears. Checkra1n will now notice it, and will run it as normal.

    When complete, your phone will boot right back up to your custom resolution that you didn't reset before the phone crashed/rebooted.

    Run " iofbres r " from terminal and reboot, and re-run checkra1n again to then get rid of the glitchy screen.

    Reminder this all has to do with the files in var/mobile/Library/Preferences/

    I almost went to iOS 13 today until I tried this. Hope this helps the other daring res changers out there. Happy New Year!

    [request] tweak to have accessibility shortcuts only in CC, not on home triple press

    Minor functionality change. I love the CC accessibility shortcut menu but I want my app switching to go at full speed (toggling immediately on double press instead of waiting/listening for a third press to bring up accessibility menu).

    If this functionality is already part of another package, paid or free, that works for me. I can also put a bounty out for this if it's more than a little bit of work to set up.
