    What's new:

    - checkra1n 0.10.1 is now included and supports iOS 13.4 & 13.4.1.

    - there is now support for 32-bit PCs with the i686 builds.

    - now works on more USB controllers (Ryzen systems especially)

    - improved stability on more hardware.

    - faster startup time.

    Planned features:

    - adding scripts & files for Project Sandcastle.

    - adding checkm8 nonce setter.

    - adding a build of futurerestore for doing downgrades with SHSH2 blobs.

    - possibly adding a light GUI for downgrading devices.

    [Update] All Platform Checkra1n for Linux Installer

    A while ago, I made a utility to install checkra1n on Raspberry Pi and other non-x86_64 platforms, since the repository for checkra1n only includes files for x86_64. Since release, the following has been added:

    • Updated checkra1n to latest version (duh)

    • Added a full GUI installer in Whiptail! (makes installing for noobs much much easier)

    • Added self-update feature as a menu option

    • Automatic architecture detection (it will tell you what arch you have)

    • Installing directly to /usr/bin

    This tool includes these features:

    • Easy repo installer (for x86_64)

    • Direct binary installation (for all supported platforms)

    • Self Update via menu option

    Tested on RPi 4, an Android tablet (yes, it works), and a x86_64 machine.

    Oh yeah, Android. Here's how I got that working: Requirements:

    • Rooted Android device

    • The device must support USB On the Go

    The first thing you need to do is install Termux and the Termux Root extension from the Play Store. Open up Termux and type su. Next, use the one-liner in the README to run the installer, and select Install/Update to download it permanently. Next, choose the Direct Download option. checkra1n will be downloaded, and you can simply type ./checkra1n -c to run it. (You have to use checkra1n -c for it to work.) Use it as normal. It's recommended you run checkra1n from the Terminal in TWRP, but Termux will work on pretty much anything.

    Anyway, here's the README:

    Works on x86, x8664, ARM and ARM64! Tested on: multiple VMs and some RPis By @randomblock1

    one liner

    download without installing using bash: curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Randomblock1/Checkra1n-Linux/master/installer.sh | sudo bash (note: selecting the update option will install it to your machine)

    how to use

    Use the "Install Repo" option if you are on x86_64. Otherwise, use "Direct Download". "Credits" is self explanatory, and "Update" uses git to get the latest version of this tool and installs it.

    If you are not on a Debian based system, you may need to install additional dependencies. Just google any errors and see if it means you're missing something.

    Please put any issues in the GitHub Issue tracker. Feel free to make pull requests.

    This would be really useful, even more so if you could adjust the flashlight intensity as well.

    Edit: there's an old tweak called PhotoTorch but unfortunately it's not working on iOS13

    • Added option to force quit checkra1n. This is because checkra1n sometimes hangs which caused the 'safe shutdown' menu to be unreachable by the user. To keep your SD card from corrupting, a force quit button sequence was added

    This may come off as a really stupid idea but heres why i need this. My sister is extremely verbally abusive and I would want to have this tweak to just start recording in my pocket while shes blackmailing me and doing all the other shit she does. Make it kinda like snapper 2 where its like a lil rectangle with the timestamp of the recording etc.

    This may come of as a very weird and specific request but it would mean the world to me. Thank you.

    [Question] Do you need to restore rootFS before updating iOS?

    Prepping to update to 13.4.1 now that checkra1n 0.10.1 is out and I've seen conflicting information on this. I've seen people say restore rootFS and then update, and other people say that it's safe to just reboot into non-jailbroken mode and then update. Does anyone have any thoughts on one or the other?
