    I am experiencing that HDCP error message every time I try to play anything from streaming apps like Netflix, Crave, and Prime Video. I get no HDCP errors when playing stuff from the Apple TV app like ATV+ shows, and playing movies from our server on VLC. I have already tried using different high-speed HDMI cables, changing formats and HDMI output in the ATV settings, giving the receiver a firmware update, and nothing has worked. Sometimes the problem will go away for a few days after doing one of these things but it will always come back. I am wondering if anyone has a fix that does not involve plugging the ATV directly into the TV. I realize this is our last option and we will do that if we have to and just have our speakers routed from the TV itself, but if there is a fix that means we still get to use our receiver I'd love to hear it.

    Kind of wishing we got an Apple TV HD at this point because to my knowledge that doesn't have HDCP errors.

    Just looking for a way to watch Rick and Morty on my Apple TV when I go to work. I have a subscription to adult swim through cable ( Shaw )but the app isn't available in Canada. Is there any other way or app to get the adult swim content or Rick and Morty on the Apple tc

    Gray-ish screen on my new Apple tv after updating it...

    Yesterday I bought my Apple tv 4k 32gb model and this morning i found out that it needed updating so I did. But after the normal Apple update screen that I know from my iPhone, the screen went to a somewhat blank/ gray screen. The screensaver still turns on after a minute or two but nothing else works... What to do?

    Apple TV Music app makes me pause and press play again to start a song

    Often the music app will have the little bars moving as if it's playing when I start a new song, but it doesn't go. I have to press "pause" and then "play" again to get it started. It happens in various situations, but 100% of the time when I try to airplay from an ipad/iphone.

    Anyone know how to fix this issue? I've restarted and updated my Apple TV and ipad/iphone.

    Tv app always plays movies from where I left off even if it’s been months since I watched it

    Is there a way to turn this off? I don't need to puck up a movie with 10min remaining after I haven't watched it in almost a year. Also it's almost impossible to get the play from beginning button to pop up.

    Audio Not in Sync (Wireless Sync did not work)

    My Apple TV 4th Gen is up to date

    I have done the wireless sync function and it says it is calibrated

    If I try do the sync again it can't hear the tones even when I turn them up so loud my eardrums are about to burst

    I get an audio delay using my old Apple TV 3 as an audio output which is connected to my receiver via optical. I also get the delay with two different wireless speakers.

    I am using a projector so holding my phone up to my TV is a loaded question. If I can make my phone hear the tones, should I be holding my phone to the projector or the wall it is projecting onto.

    I have googled this issue at length and there is no answer for what happens when the audio is still out of sync when the Wireless Audio Sync doesn't work.

    NBC and Bravo apps no sound

    Anybody else experiencing this? We have Xfinity as a provider. Video streams fine but zero sound. Have tried uninstalling a removing the connection to Xfinity without luck. Just curious.

    Buying music on Apple TV 4K?

    I'm waiting to receive my Apple TV 4K in a couple of days and was wondering, since we have access to the Apple Store, can we purchase music albums? I don't have an iphone (and don't want one) but i'm using Apple Music but itunes is very slow on my computer so i'd like to have an option to buy albums directly on the Apple TV.

    Apple TV 4K - Sony HT ZF9 - LG SM8500

    I recently have an issue when I fire up my system. The Apple TV is connected to an HDMI port on the TV. The Sony sound bar & the LG 4K TV are connected via eArc. All the devices are like two months old and I didn't have this issue at first.

    When I start the ATV both the TV and the sound bar turn on as intended and the sound works. 10-15 seconds later sound is gone. I have to restart the sound bar and then the sound stays on until I turn everything off. This happens EVERY TIME I turn on the ATV.

    I've messed with settings, factory reset all three devices and tried different HDMI cables (they're all 4K HDMI 2.0). The HDMI test on the ATV just works fine.

    Any ideas?

    Apple TV 4K audio all the sudden defaults to AirPlay and all my Sonos groups.

    Since the time I downloaded tvOS 13.4, not sure if the update has anything to do with it or not, all my TV audio is defaulted to all my Sonos groups. I have a Sonos Beam connected to the TV via HDMI ARC, but rather than just sending the audio to the Beam via ARC it's now sending it to the Beam via AirPlay and my other Sonos groups, one of which is my patio speakers.

    The kids started watching a TV show this morning and my wife opens the back door and says why is the audio playing on the back porch? This is a common occurrence all the sudden and I don't know how to fix it. I, of course, know how to route the audio back to the Beam via HDMI after the fact but I want the Apple TV to default to HDMI ARC every time. Thanks for the help.
