The photos app should have a 'tag with keywords' system to make finding them easier Posted: 04 Feb 2020 11:19 PM PST I have over 5000 photos on my phone. But if I need to find a photo I saved from the web 2 years ago, I can't find it for the life of me in this sea of 5000 photos. My proposal: To add a 'tag with keywords' feature in the photos app. If I took a photo of a beach, I can tag it with the keyword 'beach', or if I saved a picture from web, I tag it with 'quotes'. That way, if I want to search for the photo later on, I can just search 'beach' in the search bar and all photos I tagged with 'beach' come up. This makes finding media much more easier, especially when you have several thousands of them in the photos app. [link] [comments]
Let’s talk about oleophobic coating Posted: 04 Feb 2020 07:27 AM PST iPhone or iPad. I know most use screen protector with some kind of coating that gives your screen smoothness. I'm curious to know if anyone has been using their iPhone or iPad without screen protector right from day 1? If so, how long has your oleophobic coating lasted or rather your screen stayed butter smooth? There's an estimate that oleophobic coating lasts for a year. But my research online has shown varied longevity - some say it's lasted them few months while others say their phone screen's coating shows no sign of wear even after using it for upwards of two years. Yeah, every use case is different - some might be using their screen with oily fingers, while others are blessed with dry fingers all year along when using their iPhone. On iPads, Apple Pencil does eventually eat out coating after heavy use. But I'm still interested to know how long has your oleophobic coating lasted? (there's a quick test - add tiny droplets across your screen. If they still remain droplet - your phone's oleophobic coating is still on. On the other hand if those tiny droplets disperse like water spill - that's a sure indicator that your coating has worn out) Thanks for reading! [link] [comments]
We need a “favorite albums” in Apple Music Posted: 04 Feb 2020 07:26 PM PST The album section of Apple Music is completely useless, as it shows "albums" in your library even if you only have one song from that album downloaded/added. If you keep one of those Apple genre playlists in your library, you suddenly have dozens of albums you have no interest in at all cluttering up the space to the point of it being useless. We need some way of pinning albums, or adding them to a "shelf", or a button for "only show albums you've added in their entirety", or really just any way of separating albums from songs. Or am I just missing something here? Is this functionality there and I'm just missing it? [link] [comments]
