- can't seem to delete this. empty trash wont empty this
- Why is this happening? Just updated to 10.15.3 and now I've got this issue. I can't close any notifications either I just have to wait for them to go away. Help.

| Bottom of screen flashes randomly on 2019 MacBook Pro 13 inch with Touch Bar Posted: 04 Feb 2020 05:14 PM PST I've had a 2019 MBP since ~August of last year and I occasionally see some screen flashing, particularly on the bottom of the screen. It goes across the whole bottom of the screen and can vary in sizes. It's of different colors - sometimes red, orange, yellow, green, etc. It's very quick and you can barely notice it, too. At first, I thought I was just seeing things for the first few months, since it didn't happen as frequently. Now, however, as I use my laptop almost all day for studying, I notice that these screen flashes are rather apparent. I don't have applecare+ but I did purchase it from the apple store. | Prohibitive sign after login, unable to open files Posted: 04 Feb 2020 07:41 PM PST Good evening, I have a MacBook Pro with Mojave in my possession. After entering the password, the prohibitive sign 🚫 shows up. I thought permissions was hosed or maybe a hardware issue so:
I then took the hard drive and connected it to a working Mac, tried the first aid and tried to boot it again and the same issue persisted. So I tried to at least access some files and every single file is not able to be opened. Now the Hard drive requires a password before being mounted but after entering the password it mounts and I can see all files. I figured there were maybe some permissions issues but upon applying read and write permissions to all files and sub folders I am still unable to open any file. I can navigate through all folders and see file names and extensions but they simply cannot be opened. I am at a loss. Any ideas? I thought maybe some kind of crypto locker or ransomware but don't even know if what I'm dealing with. Thanks. [link] [comments]  | ||

So....I'm on fullscreen, want to leave the menu bar up, but how do I get the dock to go away temporarily while on full screen? I know about CMD+OPT+D to hide it, but I just want it to go away temporarily whilst in full screen and have it come back when I return to the desktop. Does that make sense? Thanks. Posted: 04 Feb 2020 03:49 PM PST I trouble shoot iPads on an MDM, and occassionally I will need to share the Internet connection from the computer I use with Configurator(Mojave 10.14.6 currently, Config2). I do this via the Sharing panel in System Preferences. I have plugged several hundred iPads into this computer at this point, and each one will add as an available port to be shared. I want to clean up this list as it is very long, and scrolling through now it is easy to miss the box I need to check before turning on the Internet Sharing. In the Internet Sharing panel(after you;ve generated a lengthy list of devices) the dropdown list for "Share your connection from" mirrors the "To computer using:" checklist except in the dropdown list each of the iPads have a unique port number(ex. iPad USB 210) listed on the name. The check list just states 'iPad USB'. What is the location of the plist(or whatever file type) that records the list of Network Ports available in Sharing-->Internet Sharing? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Display sleep issues in Catalina Posted: 04 Feb 2020 11:54 AM PST I have a 2019 iMac and since upgrading to Catalina, the display no longer goes to sleep while Music is playing. (It's typically streaming to a HomePod and playing on the computer, or also streaming to a stereo.) The screen saver doesn't even kick on either, and I'm worried about eventual burn-in if I forget to hit the hot corner to turn off the display. I name every file starting with the date (e.g. 2020-02-04). For 13 years I have been typing this date in every time, but I'm wondering how I can have this date automatically entered whenever I create a new Project.
